We bought two sets of earrings and love them. The gallery owner was extremely helpful and we love the quality of the products. :)

Our favorite winery in town. Delicious wines(especially the sparkling), beautiful art and jewellery pieces, fun servers. We have membership and its basically a 2-for-1 as you get all membership benefits at their other winery, Val du Vino, which is further down the main street, a little past the end of all the shops. Allegorie is more modern, VDV is more traditional and European style, so it’s a really nice pairing, best of both worlds.

I’ve never seen such unique and beautiful jewelry and art. I bought early Christmas presents and jewelry for myself. A stop here is essential if you are looking for beautiful art and jewelry. I will be back for many more gifts… truly one of a kind.

This place never fails to impress me. The pourers are excellent, the atmosphere and ambiance is awesome and so are the wines. Even if you’re designated driver this place sells more than just wine. I brought my friend here and she was fascinated by the jewelry. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Another gold rush is occurring in this region, but this time it is grapes. Although grapes have been grown in this area for a long time, they weren’t a significant contributor to the California wine industry. But big things have small beginnings. The growth is just starting in the upscale touristy town of Murphy’s — ground zero with over a dozen small tasting rooms. It’s like a young Paso Robles, Santa Ynez, or Philo, but before production increased and brought more money and tourists. Whether any growth takes hold remains to be seen as more vineyards are planted, but a visit to Murphys and tasting rooms like Allegorie is worth a try for those who like following wine trails. Allegorie makes a sparkling wine which shows an adventurous attitude, but is also a sign of their unbridled winemaking style that produced uneven results. But chances are one of the bottles is going come up aces and I found a bottle worthy of purchasing which also eliminated the $ 3 tasting fee.

5 stars for great customer service and wonderful tasting wines. My girlfriend and I stopped by here Sunday afternoon on our first trip to Murphy’s. Ellie was very welcoming and informative on her wines. She recommended we check out Val Du Vino and glad she did. We absolutely loved it and her daughter was a great host. Haha! Make sure to stop by Allegorie when visiting downtown Murphy’s.

Some of the best wines murphys has to offer. Owen and Ellie are always super friendly and knowledgeable. The art gallery is a great environment for tasters to kind of wander and look around. We joined the wine club about a year ago and enjoy everything allegory/val du vino has to offer! Must stop in and taste here when in murphys.

Such a cool space! Very open and inviting with lots of room to spread out. Very different artwork and jewelry to look at throughout the tasting room. People working were soooo nice and genuine! Wine was delicious. Everything about this place was great. They even offered to hold our wine behind the counter so we didn’t have to carry it while we walked around.

Ok, so this has become one of my most favorite places to go. The staff here is excellent, not just because the service is great, because of their knowledge of the wines they serve, which vineyard each wine comes from etc. Just love the water cannel which runs through the bar and the koi fish in the tank. This is just a great place to visit.

DANG! What a cool place! Art and wine together at last. And not your regular boring art either — this is some really cool and unique stuff. Paintings, sculptures, textiles… check it out if you get a chance! And if you can’t go in person, take a look at the photos I posted. The wine bar itself is very cool as well — a little stream runs along the back of it and trickles into a koi pond at the end. Eee! Don’t dump your wine in the stream though. They don’t want a bunch of drunk upside-down fishies. The wines are tasty as well, and the bottles are quite pretty. I know you shouldn’t base your opinion of a wine on its label, but it sure does have some initial curb appeal potential if you do it right. My favorite was the Bene Gusto red blend, and my husband loved the Cabernet Sauvignon. The guy pouring was a lot of fun to talk with and we had a great time visiting here. Can’t wait to come back and see what new art works they have up!

I’m not too well versed on the intricacies of wine, the difference between a middle of the road bottle and a top notch one, or even pinpointing flavors. I do however love to drink it, and this place had some really nice ones to try! The attendants here at Allegorie were super friendly and knowledgeble. They did a great job sharing helpful info about how to make the most of the wine tasting, differentiating between types and regions, and wine production in general, all without coming off stuffy or boring. There’s also some great local art showcased along the walls and on the floor to enjoy. This is a great spot and I’ll definitely revisit it the next time I’m in Murphys, and most likely walk out with a bottle or two… worth checking out!

Allegorie literally opened yesterday. Fact. Located in a former art gallery, Allegorie features art and wines for tasting and purchase. The art includes sculptures and jewelry created by local artists. Very lovely pieces I might add. The wines are made by Val du Vino, which in my opinion, has some of the best wines in the county. The tasting room is managed by Ellie, the niece of Val du Vino’s owners. The décor is lovely. A water channel flows through the bar and culminates at a little water fall which goes into a Koi pond. Very soothing and relaxing touch. The wines range from Viognier to Tempranillo. My absolute favorite was the Rendezvous Rouge. Oh my goodness! Gorgeous bouquet and scrumptious taste. I was seriously in love with that wine. It is currently sold as a future release. Can’t wait until the official release! Cheers!
