LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Great wine, first time all day that I loved anything and enjoyed everything. They made us feel very welcome as if we were at an old friends house. We are now members and I cannot wait to go back.

Best wine in Murphys. The only stop (of many) where we loved each wine on the tasting list. We liked every one so much that we even joined the wine club. Oh and if you get the chance to meet Dr. Renner, he is a gem. We will be back!

Had the pleasure of watching the Christmas parade from outside this great place. What wonderful people. A gentleman moved a table and chairs outside for us and then tried to refuse a tip. Very lovely, generous people with outstanding wine. Thanks Dr. Renner and your experienced, friendly staff!

Updating — We’ve now enjoyed the tasting room experience a few times as a couple and even brought the family (adult kids) to enjoy their wines. We’ve joined the club and recently enjoyed one of their dinner in the vinyards events. We’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Renner. It’s become a staple for each visit to Murphy’s.

A beautifully decorated tasting room with friendly staff. Delightful hearty rich red wines, the Syrah and Malbec were fantastic. My friend loved the Late Harvest Syrah and we both bought a bottle of their homegrown olive oil. We will come back again!

This was, by far, the worst experience I’ve had while wine tasting in Murphys. The two young women pourers barely gave us time of time of day. They were too busy sitting on the counter, swinging their legs, chatting with each other and eating take out. The wine wasn’t even that great and even if it was I wouldn’t have bought any. We had to wait and then ask for every single pour. Won’t be going back.

Excellent wine tasting experience this weekend at Renner. My girlfriend and I sat and talked to the owner about his wines and vineyards. They use all their own grapes and their vineyard is gorgeous! Looking forward to visiting Renner Winery again.

This is a great find. The wines are excellent and the staff is the most fun around. They have several excellent wine selections and the tasting room fee is quite inexpensive. It is clear that Renner Winery is confident enough in their product that they can keep a low tasting room fee knowing that people are going to like the wine enough to buy a bottle or two. While the wines are the main draw, the olive oil should not be overlooked. The olives are grown in the same vineyard and their oil is excellent.
The tasting room is in downtown Murphys. However, if you ever have a chance to go to one of their dinners at the vineyard, definitely go! The vineyards are gorgeous and a small hill offers stunning views of New Melones Lake.

I wrote a review on this Winery when the tasting room was located in Copperopolis. Guess that one was lost when then moved to Murphys. Anyway I like this tasting room due to the fact that there are two rooms in one. It’s very cozy and the serving staff are very pleasant and like all tasting rooms very knowledgeable. Renner has some very good reds. I really don’t have a favorite because I like them all.
This place used to be a restaurant which served great small plates and I believe is was called 498? Anyway with all the restaurants in Murphys the place is better used as a tasting room. After all that’s what we all go to Murphys for isn’t it?

Good wine, the Trilogy was nice. The server was nice but drank quite a bit of wine herself, nice for us generous pours. She was not to interested in telling us much about wine or winemaker.
