Matt B’s Main Street Pizza

The pizza here has derailed so many diets for me. The Meathouse has knocked this fatty off the wagon so many times. It’s amazing. Very fit people often say «nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels». Well, The Meathouse. It tastes better.

The pizzas at Matt B’s are top notch. I come from a pizza town and was worried upon moving to Murray that my pizza cravings would not be satisfied. Thankfully, Matt B’s has fulfilled all my pizza needs. Dripping, cheesy goodness. Love coming here again and again.

When I lived in MKY I would walk here from work very often. I was always dry pleased with the service and the food.
Also, it’s a real pizzeria. You can always get a slice. You don’t have to order an entire pizza.
And finally, their salads are surprisingly great. Very fresh and clearly assembled in house.
An excellent establishment with excellent service.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant anywhere. I’ve eaten here at least 500 times, maybe a thousand. The taste of the pizza is second to none. The friendliness of the staff is off the charts. It starts with the top guy, Matt B himself, and goes through everyone who works there. Matt B leads his employees by example and is truly one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. This place is the standard of excellence as far as I am concerned. Any time I am visiting, bank on me eating as many meals as I can possibly fit in at Matt B’s.

The God of all pizza restaurants. There has never been, and never can be a better slice of pizza then Matt B’s pizza. The greatest poets could not do justice to the culinary genius of Matt B’s.

I love Matt B’s pizza! It’s the best pizza I have ever had. I would recommend it to anyone. The special potato pizza they make is pretty great!

Always a place I try to visit when I’m home. Great pizza and cheese log. It might just be they don’t like me or something but I feel like every time I go the staff is incredibly rude. Only thing from being 5 stars.

Love the pizza and the prices! The only problem I had was while waiting for a to go order, I watched the boy working the register eat toppings that had fallen off the pizzas right out of the case. Then he started moving the pizzas around with that same bare hand. :/​hopefully, this was just an isolated incident.

We LOVE this place! My only complaints are that they don’t serve the special slices at dinner time, because they’re awesome, and after I eat them for Lunch I want to fall asleep. It’s a great unpretentious place and the service is friendly. Best takeout pizza I’ve had anywhere I’ve lived.

This is my husband’s favorite place in Murray. I get requests to stop on my way home to pick up a oizza or calzone. The pizzas are wonderful. You can buy a whole pizza or by the slice. The braided bread sticks with honey butter dip are wonderful. All pizza places we try are compared to Matt B’s. And none have compared, ever.

So I didn’t eat here and I haven’t been there. I live in California, and my best friend goes to Murray State and I wanted to surprise her for her birthday. So I called and asked them to spell 21 in pepperoni and write happy birthday on the lid and surprise her in the dorms. They did! they went above and beyond decorated the box and didnt charge extra or anything. This definitely made my day being able to surprise my friend from so far away and give her great memories. I’m forever grateful!

This is really good pizza! Matt B’s offers a no frills eatery with limited seating and counter service. The staff is relaxed and casual, and their primary focus is making great food. The pizza is the star attraction (two different styles of crusts, lots of toppings), but they have fresh salads and house-​made dressing (s) too.
For those on the go, they have several different pies already cooked, and you can order a slice (as is, or add toppings) and they’ll pop it in the oven for a few minutes and send you on your way with a quick, hot meal for a nice price.
It can get busy and hectic at times, and the noise level can get loud, especially if the music or TV is blaring. It is a small place, so it can get crowded with folks lining up to order, other people coming to pick up orders, and customers milling around to serve themselves (e.g. cutlery, napkins, drinks). They do have daily specials and carry-​out specials as well, and I think they deliver, but I cannot recall.
All in all, this is the exact kind of pizza joint every college town should have.

This place is legit. It’s pizza is so filling and the dough is so stinkin good! A must for lovers of pizza!

Very good pizza — perhaps the best offered in Murray? I like the taste of the dough, sauce, and cheese they use. It tastes great while warm /​hot, perhaps just average tasting if allowed to cool. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars, most likely because of my preference for Italian pizzas instead of American pizzas. Salads are quite big, if you like ham on your salad. Prices seem very reasonable. Closed on Monday. Parking in front and to the side of building.

Easily the best pizza in Murray! Their breadsticks with honey butter and their cheese sticks are delicious, too.

Great pizza! Can run out of special so get there early.
