Mugsy’s Hideout

Stopped in while in town for work. This little place is tucked in downtown Murray… if that’s what you want to call it. Haha
Service was great and server was knowledgeable of the menu. The BBQ chicken pizza was by far the best BBQ chicken pizza I’ve ever had. Chicken was fresh grilled and seasoned perfectly. The bbq sauce was light and sweet and the bacon added the perfect amount of saltiness.
If I ever make it back, I will be sure to try the pan pizza. This is an authentic Chicago style pizza joint. I was hesitant to get it because I wasn’t too hungry, but I’m going to be sure to go in on an empty stomach.

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat. Wasn’t sure if this place was legit from the outside. Once inside i knew it was going to be good. The inside is just like a Chicago restaurant. I ordered a deep dish pizza and it was authentic as can be. The cheese was melty. The sauce was homemade. The crust perfect. The highlight was the meats. Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon made my tastebuds do a dance. This place has it going on!!!

I am visiting from California, and had family bring me here. Having visited Chicago, and New York, and eating some of the best pizza offered in the US, I can highly vouch the pizza and calzones here are incredible, and made from scratch. The marinara sauce is out of this world, and exploding with flavor. You can tell Mugsy’s uses prime ingredients. Always nice to see those who take pride in their food. The satff is very friendly, and love to interact with their guest. Great job Mugsy’s, can’t wait to come back!

Great Food! The pizza, sandwiches, and especially fried ravioli are all excellent! We visit here often and always seem to have a good time.

We’re new to the Murray area and wanted to check out Muggsys Hideout, so we went there recently on a weeknight. Not that many people in the place, and there was only one person waiting on tables even though three people appeared to be working there. Because we wanted a deep dish pizza, and we’d read online that it takes longer to make, we got there early. A waiter dropped menus on our table and went to deal with other customers. We could see this young man making small talk, chatting, while we didn’t even have water or silverware. Meanwhile another man (a manager?) was walking around talking to other customers. Someone else (seemed to be) sitting behind the cashier’s desk, even though no one was paying.
After about fifteen minutes of this, we left. Unfortunately, many of our new friends said this was a common experience. Unless we hear otherwise, we won’t back.

I just ate at Mugsy’s Hideout for the first time in a while. (I have been on a diet.) Mugsy’s was always one of the best pizza places ever, but they have taken pizza to a whole new level! We had the 12-​inch pan pizza. The crust and cheese were incredible as were the sauce and toppings. I have enjoyed all the big name pizza places in Chicago and I am no stranger to New York pizza (thus, the need for the diet) and this was absolutely the best pizza I have ever had!!!
Mugsy’s is located on Murray’s town square, which is quaint, and across from the court house. You can usually park in front of the establishment. Most of the people who go there are locals, because the Murray State University college students seem to focus on the places near the main north-​south drag (HWY ⁶⁴¹⁄₁₂^th Street) rather than venturing into the downtown area. Alcoholic beverages are available, but it isn’t a bar and people go there mostly for the food.

Great service and great food! In town from Louisville and LOVED the deep dish pizza. Would definitely recommend!
