Very clean, I would have given it a five stars if it had breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat here. Beds comfortable

My wife and I stay here at least three to four times a year for the past three years when visiting our son who attends Murray State University. The rooms come with mini fridge, microwave, cable tv and free HS wifi. It’s a very quaint atmosphere with keeping some of the 50’s motor lodge inn feeling. The price is fantastic along with the cleanliness of the rooms and property.
Other things available are free boat battery charging, dvd’s and player to use, ice machine and soft drink machine.
The staff is very friendly and, how often do you stay somewhere and the owners know you by name.

We were visiting the Kentucky Lake area, and short on funds, so we took a chance on a local motel. What a great find! We could tell that the rooms had been remodeled not that long ago, and everything was clean and comfortable. The rooms are a little on the small side when compared to newer hotels these days, but was a well-​maintained and cared-​for roadside motel. Reminded me of the old days when you could trust the local places to be clean and a good rate.
There was an ice machine available 24⁄7 and fresh coffee available in the office during business hours. The owners were present and involved and obviously cared for this little gem.
Loved, Loved, Loved the fact that there was a ceiling fan in the room!
I would defintely recommend Murray Plaza Lodge to anyone visiting the area.
