While on vacation it’s always tricky to find good eats so of course I turned to Unilocal to help me out while in SC. My fiancé is a die hard crab lover so this seemed like a good option. He had one of their pot dinners which was huge. I had the steak, my grandmother had fried scallops and gramps had spicy shrimp. None of us left hungry. I think it’s just the area because it’s touristy but the prices were a bit high for what we got. The food wasn’t anything to write home about. It was good but not outstanding. The portions were large and service was fine. The one thing I had that was absolutely outstanding was the cheesecake! I read on here that it was good so I ordered it not realizing that it was actually fried cheesecake. A-MAZING! I’d go back just for that if I find myself in this area again.

My wife and I love the lunch special baskets. We usually eat here 2 – 3 times while visiting for July 4th week each year. Love the small place with a customer centric staff that cares.

Truthfully not the greatest welcome we’ve ever received in entering a restaurant: maybe it was the time of day when we went, but everyone seemed to be in their 60s and pretty depressed about it. We in fact might have turned right back around and resigned ourselves to a chain restaurant, but thankfully, our waitress Kim came over to serve us and saved the day. She was efficient, attentive, and joyful, despite having just returned to work from a long-overdue vacation of her own, and we left with a better feeling than the one we came with. Tip your Servers, people: they make or break the experience.

Great food /Great service! Just had a quick dinner at the bar. We’re passing through town and this place seemed to be highly recommended for fresh seafood. My husband had the she crab soup, crab cakes and cole slaw and loved them all. I’m a non seafood eater so I opted for fresh homemade onion rings, they were delicious. Cyndi, at the bar, told us that all the food is freshly made in the kitchen when an order is placed. We can’t disagree. She took great care of us. Will definitely eat here again!

My family and I stumbled upon this place during vacation. We were looking for a place my husband remembered visiting years ago that appears to no longer be along this strip of road. He was disappointed we didn’t find the place he wanted to visit again, but at least we found this restaurant. The food and service here were definitely not disappointing. My husband ordered the flounder and really enjoyed it. My daughter and I split the clams with fries and an order of onion rings. Everything was excellent. It wasn’t very crowded when we were there on a Monday for lunch, the décor was enjoyable, and overall we had a very nice time at Inlet Crab House. I would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Ate there tonight. We had high hopes after reading reviews. We ordered the mate bucket which includes oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, crab, sausage, corn and potatoes. Sounds great but was way overcooked. Taste was just okay. _have had much better. We also had clam chowder that was not too bad. Wine and beer good. Would try another place next time.

Love the broiled shrimp platter. We visit here each vacation visit. I have to say our waitress was not the best on this visit. It seemed we were an inconvenience to her. When asked for NO seasoning on the shrimp, it came with extra. She ignored us when we tried to get her attention to correct it. But this is usually a great place to eat.

If you want a place away from the tourists this is the best place. A place where all the locals go. You would be a fool to pass up the grouper. Outstanding. Was about a 30 minute wait but it is well worth it.

Loved, Loved, Loved the great food, and whimsical environment. Our server was like family, so amazing. After a week in Myrtle Beach– we finally had a great meal! The shrimp and grits was a hit with my daughter and the crab legs were cooked just perfectly! The oysters were probably the best I’ve ever had and the shrimp was seasoned perfectly with old bay. So many options on the menu! The only thing I would improve on is the size of the kids meal portion– my 5 year old ordered a pizza and it didn’t come with a side– we had to order some French fries for him– after a long day on the beach little boys are hungry!!! If I were here another night– I’d come back tomorrow. You’ll be happy you came… worth the drive!

Inlet Crab House was a cute little local restaurant. Our server Mandy was great! We started with hush puppies which were the best we’ve had in Murrells inlet! We also had the shrimp and spinach dip which was delicious. It had a bit of a kick to it and tons of flavor! For main course I had the crabcake dinner. They were HUGE and very tasty. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Finally got a chance to try this place, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a favorite spot for locals which is always a good sign. I started my meal with the crab stuffed jalapeños which were quite tasty. Another member of our party had the shrimp and spinach dip which was also quite good. I ordered the grilled seafood platter which consisted of flounder, shrimp, scallops, oysters and a crab ball. It was all very fresh tasting and piping hot off the grill. The only reason I took a star away was it was quite warm in the restaurant, and the bartender seemed offended when asked if the air conditioning was on the blink. That, and just the cramped seating inside which always is a turn off for me. Those negatives aside, our server Mandy was excellent! Her cheerful personality and the very tasty food far outweighed the few negatives. I will definitely be back soon and look forward to trying more selections from the menu.

A reliable option. The piña colada that I had was weak and the crab stuffed poppers were just not the life altering experience I remember. Otherwise, no complaints about the food from our party of six. Service was just ok. Not particularly friendly. Not exactly rude. I did appreciate that they circled the fact that the tip was already included in the bill.

Everything we had was great… except the shrimp and grits. I’m a big fan of shrimp and grits but this was a bland disappointment. Steer of grits and you will enjoy.

This place is the shizz. While visiting Murrells Inlet, we knew we had to have seafood while in South Carolina’s seafood capital. This place was recommended to us by a waitress at another restaurant, so naturally we had to try it. I am so glad we did. Our waitress was really nice and patient with us while we tried to decide how we would sate ourselves. The décor is interesting and eclectic. And the food is glorious. We split three appetizers– the oysters Rockefeller, crabbed stuffed jalapeños, and fried soft shell crab. These dishes barely touched the table before they were devoured up. The crab that’s in the jalapeño skins is AMAZING. For the entrée, we split a seafood platter which was complete with flounder, shrimp, scallops, oysters, and crab balls. We had the platter fried because of vacay, and we loved it. If you need seafood and you’re in Murrells Inlet, you must come here!

Stopped in based in reviews and because Dan wanted seafood. Easy lunch menu. Basic fish tacos, good. For all the talk of seafood Dan did shrimp quesadillas. Casual bar style food. This place must get nuts in the summer. Good stop for simple eats and a beer.

We came to Inlet Crab based on the reviews we read in Unilocal–«the locals eat here.» Unfortunately, this was not the experience we were hoping for. Two of the people in our party ordered the Mahi grilled– they were served half cooked fish. We ended up having to wait for nearly half an hour before the manager came to the table, saw the fish, sent it back and had new fish served. Sadly, the next day, none of us were feeling very well. Perhaps it was just a fluke– I had such high hopes based on what I had read. The atmosphere was cool, but not worth under-cooked fish.
