Got convinced to try this place again after they apparently rebranded/​redeveloped the menu. The waitress was good but the rest of the experience was pretty subpar. The booth we were stuck in was incredibly tight and the new «Ted» ordering system is not an improvement (a constant green flashing light in your face at your table when you pay is a bit over the top and annoying!) Additionally there was no real options for vegetarians, except for a few side dishes that come out very small portioned. Giving it 2 stars since the price is pretty fair but I would strongly recommend avoiding this place with all the other great options around Muskegon.

We are generally very satisfied with Applebee’s, however this location was the exception to the rule.
Restaurant was NOT busy! If it was busy I could understand the slow service. We waited each step of the way, from getting beverages to paying our bill. Server never asked how our food was, never made any conversation or small talk.
We ordered the 2/25.00 ½ slab of ribs. We opted for two salads instead of an appetizer. The salads were delicious and much more then a basic house salad. Our ribs though were terrible, very dry!
This location was on our way home after returning from Gerald Ford airport. We won’t make the same mistake on our next trip past Muskegon. Thumbs down on this particular Applebee’s!

I’ve had a few bad experiences here before, but nothing that was never made right. Things took too long at times, but the manager took care of it every time without me even asking them to. I lose this place. I just wish they would bring back karaōke Thursdays!

Went to Applebee’s today, I wish I would have read first reviews as my wife is a vegetarian and it was a total miss on her
bbq burger was really good and the waitress was very nice but the menu is definitely set up for carnivores. Even fried green beans tasted like fish. For 28.00 only one of us left full

Good burgers, great service and a very family friendly atmosphere. Every time I ask my 4 year old if she wants to go out to eat she always says Applebee’s! =)

Honestly. Applebee’s is a chain restaurant. So I expect some consistency when it comes to trained cooks. The waitress was darling, attentive and kind. But the cooks in the back not only messed up my first order. But sent out the makeup meal so quickly that it wasn’t completely cooked. My burger on the outside was crumbly like cooked beef should be. And stringy/​mushy and pink on the inside. Luckily the manager took 30% off our bill. But even after this experience. I question the capabilities and training cooks here are given.

I like applebees. … especially the weight watchers options. I’d like to be able to order ahead and then come in to eat lunch. I was told that I have to be present to order and eat in. That means I can’t have lunch at applebees and get back to work on time.

Applebee’s is always a favorite place for me to go. Whether I’m going to hangout with a group of friends, or just with my significant other, it’s the perfect place. They have great food, with a variety of different choices. They have T.V.‘s all over with all sorts of different sporting events playing. And their waiter’s/waitresses are always so nice and friendly.

After my previous comment, the operators of this location reached out to me about my concern, they apologized for the experience and resolved it to my satisfaction. I will visit this site again soon. I am confident to have a better experience in dining this time.

I haven’t been in an Applebees in years, but I had gotten a gift card for Christmas so I figured I’d give it another try. Once again, I found the experience totally unsatisfying. They should be sued for false advertising, as the food looked nothing like the mouth watering picture on the menu? I had ordered blackend steak and penne pasta. I got 5 strips of dog jerky approximately the size of ½ of my little finger, and the penne which was supposed to have spinach and tomato had about a teaspoon of spinach and some pepper size flakes of tomato! The breadstick that came with it was also very small and stale. Now for the service. They were very busy and understaffed, so service was also lacking though my server did seem to be trying. People in the next booth also weren’t impressed with the food and sent their order back, so she was flustered already. I’m sorry, I feel with so many other choices, Applebees doesn’t deserve a second look.

AppleBee’s certainly isn’t anything special. The food is glorified cafeteria food at best and the atmosphere is highly unoriginal. I’ll give it a 2⁄5 because out of the two times I dined there, I received good service. Based on the quality of the food and the raping your wallet receives at the end of the dinner however, I wouldn’t recommend AppleBee’s to anyone. There are certainly better and cheaper options in town. I might even go as far to say that you can find better tasting food in the frozen goods isle at Walmart, Plumbs, et al.
