Average at best. Deer antler chandlers, really? Anyway, food was okay but you can do much better in M Beach. You can get better ribs, too. Don’t be fooled.

Our server was great. He was very attentive and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for better service. The fried mushrooms appetizer was terrific. If you like mushrooms, that is a must try. The steaks we ordered were okay, but nothing special. Actually, after the appetizer, nothing was all that special. For charcoal steaks, they seemed rather plain. It honestly didn’t taste like it had been cooked over charcoal. And our potatoes were not hot, just on the low side of warm. The salad was just a salad. Honestly, while the food was filling, it was way overpriced. The same meal at another steakhouse probably wouldn’t have cost nearly that much, and I would have enjoyed it better. While the food was okay, I would not make an effort to return at those prices.

With so many cool places to eat in Myrtle Beach, we were so bummed that we chose Big Daddy’s. It should be called Big Disappointment! Hush puppies were good, but everything else was pretty bland and my clam strip dinner was all french fries.

*I wouldn’t have given them 1 star but it wouldn’t allow me to. KEEPYOURMONEY! This place was terrible! We came down to Myrtle beach for a weekend getaway with our two boys(6 and 3). My husband found this place, and since he loves ribs and«hole-in-the-wall» restaurants we went right in. We both ordered the half-rack of ribs($ 17.99!!) and a side of baked beans. I ordered a $ 3 lime margarita. The boys got a corn dog and chicken tenders. My margarita tasted like it had water and margarita mix and that’s it! I asked our waitress to kick it up a bit and when it came back it tasted like they put vodka in it-but not much. I gave up! We got our ribs, and our plates were hot to the touch but our ribs were at best LUKEWARM, even cold in spots. Yes, it fell off the bone, but it was like mush in our mouths. Probably THEWORST ribs we have ever had! Their sign says«voted best ribs in MB». My a%¥! Even our baked beans tasted like it was out of a can(bushes?) and the bread and butter was stale. The kids plates were«blah» and also not worth their price. We felt sick to our stomachs when we got our bill-$ 70 for the worst food we’ve had in a long time. Vacationers-STAY AWAY!

The best thing I had here was the $ 3 margaritas. The food was lacking… lacking alot. My daughters 12oz sirloin was cooked on a stove top grill, not a charcoal grill, and it was over cooked. What? And this joint is supposed to be specializing in BBQ? The She Crab soup I had was missing the crab but had plenty of oil floating on top of it. Note to kitchen staff — Stir the soup before serving! Service was ok, alot of «honeys and sweeties» from the server, but that don’t get it for me. Just plain old common courtesy and attentiveness is all it takes for a good tip here.“Honey, sweetie pie”… Could have been an off day for Big Daddys, Maybe we should have tried Ribs. But if that’s the only claim to fame you got then limit the menu to Ribs and those $ 3 margaritas.

This review is not the business at this address. Somehow it got switched from the Big Daddy in kings hwy to this one. I have never been to this restaurant. My wife and I tried Big Daddy’s because of their claim to the best ribs in Myrtle Beach. They turned out to be the best ribs I’ve ever had. The sauce leaves something to be desired but the amount and tenderness of the meat more than make up for it. The filets that my wife get have always been cooked properly, the bread is delicious, and you can’t beat the $ 3 margaritas.

My girlfriends and I visited Myrtle Beach this past summer and we ate here I think 2 or 3 times. You MUST get the ribs. First time I went I had the rib sirloin combo. The second time I went straight for the ribs! They really are«fall of the bone» good! Try to get there early as by about 5:30pm they are PACKED! We also LOVED the hush puppies. They came with a side of honey buttter — very delish. The drinks were also delicious! We tried their margaritas as well as some drink that had mango in it I beleive? They were good and potent! Service was good, can’t complain at all. I would definitley come back!

Avoid! Seriously bad servers, seriously under qualified management, dry pork, over salted sides, and NOT family /kid friendly. Disappointing and dirty.

Stopped in here while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. They had a coupon in one of the free tourist coupon books for a free fried pickle appetizer. I could not use the coupon because we ordered early bird items and the coupon could not be combined with that. Oh well. I had the rib and sirloin combo. Steak was well cooked, and a reasonable portion. The ribs were a six rib portion, cooked very well. The problem was in the seasoning. They should use a dry rub to give some flavor. I also noticed that the membrane was left on. One of the marks of good ribs for me is when care is taken to remove it. The BBQ sauce was sweet and could be better. Baked potato was really good. Fluffy inside and a crisp salted skin. The salad was typical, prepare pared with bottled dressing. Another in my party had the surf and turf. Steak and shrimp. They liked it. Also, the steak tips kids meal was well done and a good value. Service was really good. Fast seating and attentive server. But I was there during early bird hour. This place could be improved by taking care to make their own sauces, everything they had was Sysco. For a place that brags the best ribs in MB they really need to step it up.

My family and I visited Myrtle Beach the end of July while driving up and down the strip I noticed Charcoal Grill, enough said. On our last night my husband and I visited and as the reviewer before stated the«smoking section» is not an area of its own, rather tables along the wall in a corner. I ordered a 16oz. ribeye, BP, and it comes with a salad, he had grilled shrimp, Garlic mp. salad and we shared a cup of she-crab soup. The salads were okay dressing nothing to rave about, the soup was nice just not enough crab, my steak was okay I ordered the ribeye because it’s usually nice on the grill however this was a little on the tough side so I was almost expecting it to get up off the plate and punch me in the eye! My husbands shrimp were cooked to perfection but they were not even warm when his plate reached the table however they tasted like they were fresh out of the water. The loaves of bread they put on the table is nice if you get it hot. Before I forget the steak seasoning they used on my steak was good. All said and done this is not some where I would return at least not for the steak.

My friend and I decided to try this restaurant while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. We thought it would be fun to say that we ate at «Big Daddy’s» because it is kind of a funny name for a restaurant. So we moseyed on in one night hoping to have a good olé time at Big Daddy’s. Yes, just saying the name inspires me to talk in a country slang! The restuarant has an open layout that’s pretty nice and it is a family oriented restaurant. However, there is a smoking and non-smoking section of the restaurant, which I didn’t really understand because it is an open layout, you really can’t have smoking & non-smoking. Smoke travels… it does not restrict itself to one location. Fortunately, no one was smoking like a freight train, so the atmosphere was rather pleasant. The food was ok. Not great… not horrible… but also not really worth the price. Or at least, the food I had wasn’t. They are«famous» for their steak and ribs, but I had the chicken. So maybe that was my fault for not opening my wallet to spend more on Big Daddy’s premium meat. Our waiter was a rather nice young man, but they either were short on staff or really mad at him that day, because he was running from table to table trying to accomodate everyone. As a result, service was slower than normal. Overall, it was good time. Now, I can proudly say, I’ve been to Big Daddy’s! Oh yeah!
