So my friends and I decided that on our first night out at myrtle beach, we chose to go to a nicer restaurant to dine at. I have to say, service really wasn’t that bad. It was good service. Not great, good. I ordered the pineapple grilled chicken. It was… ok. Nothing special. Definitely nothing special when their side of fries was just four or five sides. One of the guys I was with was complaining about his brisket, I wasn’t really paying attention. All I’ll say is, if you want a night you’ll remember at myrtle beach, don’t go here. It’s nothing special. Maybe call ahead and see if you can get a table at Margaritaville. That’s what I wish I did. Also, I forgot to ask if they take American Express. ALSO, use the bathroom before you go because the bathroom in there is nothing but ONE toilet and a sticky floor. Apparently someone forgot to aim. Thank you and good night.

So this is my second experience with Sweet Carolina’s. My first visit was not that great, but I wanted to try their beef brisket so I decided to give them another chance. Instead of winning my heart and turning me into a recurring customers they basically confirmed my dissatisfaction. I went with a group of 8 early in the day before the rush started. The restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Our server seemed to have a lot on his plate which made him rush through taking our orders. When our ice tea came to the table it was very warm with little to no ice. We asked for more ice and some lemon. We got the ice but the lemon never came. A couple members of our party had food stuck to their silverware. Outside of that the restaurant felt clean. The food was okay. The cornbread was a bit under cooked and all you get is a small sliver. The beef brisket tested okay and the BBQ sauces were fun to try. I got a side of macaroni and cheese which was very good but it was also a small portion. With so many great places around Myrtle to get southern cooking I probably won’t be returning here.

Waiter was super nice but the food was terrible. Bbq potato skins were so-so. I ordered the ½ bbq chicken meal and it came to my table begging for salt. It was SOBLAND! It was pretty bad. The fries were pretty dam gross as well. My boyfriend had the brisket and sausage special and he was so disappointed as well. BLANDBLANDBLAND! Everything was tasteless! I do not recommend this place at all.

Have been here twice! The bbq food is okay. I have had Better at a restaurant on the other side of town. Was a little pricey probably because of location. Staff was very friendly.

Hubby and I decided to try this place today. He ordered the brisket sandwich and said the meat was tough. Also, there were no seasonings on the meat. The bbq sauces are on the table. Original and sweet. He said the original was good and he liked the corn bread. He didn’t even eat his whole sandwich, so I brought it home to the dogs. They gave it a thumbs up!!!: } I ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad. I thought the dressing was excellent, the romaine crisp, but the chicken could have used some seasonings on it. All in all, it was okay, but I don’t think we’d go back. There are too many other restaurant choices in Broadway at the Beach.

Finally decided to try this place after numerous visits to Broadway. We where seated immediately and the waitress was very attentive. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. My husband and I both ordered the bbq sandwich with fries and coleslaw. I must say the pulled pork was moist and tasty and not to smokey. The fries where fresh and crispy and the vinegar sauce was good. Next I would like to try the ribs and maybe some other sides. I would recommend this place to any whom enjoys bbq. As I’m choosy about mine, it must be moist, hot and not to smokey. This place had all the above, still not as good as mine and my husbands homemade bbq, but tasty none the less.

Was ok. Brisket was yummy and so were ribs but just ok experience. Waitress could have been more attentive and taken dirty dishes from our table before delivering entrees. Tvs everywhere is nice.

Average chain restaurant experience with slow service. The standout of the meal was the sweet cornbread. My picky 5-year-old ate a whole loaf. Our party also had chicken strips and ribs, which were good. The fries tasted like old grease and were super salty and the mac and cheese wasn’t great. We ended the meal with a brownie sundae. Yum!

Stood at the front, waiting to be seated for more then 5 minutes. Was not busy. They had no hostess, only 3 servers, and were passed multiple times. So we left.

Wait to be seated… anyone there. However, after we finally got seated they brought out some cornbread and it was great. The group did some sandwiches and brisket. The taste was good and the food was hot. Service and speed are their main issues. If you can live with that you will be fine.

A good option to consider in the Broadway plethora of eateries. Down home Southern comfort food and some decent BBQ. Cornbread is home made(actually our waitress Kia made it that day)… but they are a bit stingy with dispensing it. We got a pretty small sampling for a table of 3. Palmetto Burger and the Pork Plate are good offerings. Beats most around this place.

Its aug 18 around 9 something. Hello fellow Unilocalers, I’m having a vacation with my family. I met them from Maryland and they from GA to myrtle beach sc. We couldn’t really decide because we were all verging on getting mad to not eating. I have never been to sweet Carolinas and neither have they. I do not eat red meat or pork, very little chicken and fried food, so honestly my options became real slim. Our waiter was sweet, he had a lovely accent, he was slovic super tall with blonde hair and I blue eyes. I ordered a ceasar salad and buffalo fried chicken on top. My sister ordered their combo and my mom as well. Brisket and chicken with sweet fries, and brisket with ribs and sweet potatoes casserole. They both agree they brisket was like butter and raved about it. The chicken was dry but the ribs were good. I had a salad so it was fine, no complaints. They give you cornbread to start and it was ok… im from the south and we can be a bit picky about cornbread. Overall not really that bad, the wait staff in general could probably be alil more attentive but overall our server was fine and everything else was ok. Except for the brisket which my family raved heav I my about. SMILE!

An ok meal after a long ride. The food was decent. Kids menu had a nice selection and was affordably priced. The main menu had a good selection also. I ordered chicken gumbo and a side salad. The gumbo had great flavor, but a bit too much salt. The salad was pretty sparse, but the veggies were fresh. The cornbread starter was very good and the fried okra were decent. Peter, our server was attentive and on point.

We were walking around the Broadway at the Beach and spotted this restaurant so my kids and I decided to have dinner here. Fortunately, we were seated immediately although the place was packed and the servers were running everywhere like crazy. Our server was friendly and gave us the yummy complimentary cornbread to start. We ordered combo plates… Chicken BBQ and fried flounder, brisket sandwich, pulled BBQ and fried shrimp, and buffalo wings and fried shrimp. All the orders were correct except for my son’s wings and shrimp combo. They gave him chicken BBQ instead and they gave him the wings a few minutes later. We waited for about 10 – 15 minutes for our food to arrive although we didn’t say anything thinking that the place is just really busy. Unfortunately, their food wasn’t delicious at all. Well, except for the cornbread. The chicken was DRY inside out:(We had to keep using the house BBQ sauce on the table but that didn’t help the bland and dry chicken meat. The pulled pork BBQ was ok and the brisket meat were sliced as thick as can be and so it was so dry and hard to eat. The fried shrimps were ok, I guess you can’t really mess up fried food? I’m kind of disappointed on how our food tasted considering that the place is in a touristy family place and is supposed to be a southern pride.

Meh. I didnt hate it, but i wouldnt go back or recommend it. The service was good, but everything else was subpar. I got a frozen mango margarita, and it was like mango flavoring over shaved ice. i actually had to wait for it to melt 3 or 4 times to continue drinking it. All of our entrée’s were just ok. I had the mahi with green beans, and it was alright. Not a lot of flavor, but the mahi was nice and thick and not too dry or anything. My father in law got a rack of ribs that was laughable. There was almost no meat on the bones! He said the flavor was good, but there wasnt a whole lot there, which was obvious just by looking at it when it came to the table. All in all, like i said, we all ate our meals without any issues, but it wasnt anything special. or even just good. It was mediocre, at best. There are too many other placs at Broadway at the Beach to choose from, so save yourself the time and do so.

This bbq joint smelled delicious so we couldn’t pass it up. We waited a while for our meals to cone out. Once they arrived there were approximately 8 sweet potato fries accompanying out pulled pork sandwiches. The pork was average, nothing to rave about. We probably won’t return. On the up side bout server, Morgan, was a treat. Making the best of the busy myrtle beach crowds. She was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.
