My boyfriend and I were dying for some crab legs and theirs really hit the spot! We loved it!

Keep in mind that this is a buffet! You are getting mass quantities of food for a competitive price. A lot of the items are better than the Original guy next door. Some are not. But it is a buffet and there is variety and most items are very good. Waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. $ 32 for a buffet is the same as the next guy.

I have 1 word… AWFUL!!! Maybe 2 words… GREASY!!! Unless you want the all you can eat crab legs(which were a bit salty) there is absolutely no reason to go to the giant crab!!! Over-priced for the quality… the hibachi was a fail… and the prime rib at the carving station was more fat than meat… totally disappointing!

Variety is the big plus here. We went during the early dinner time to get a discount on the $ 32 per person bill. The staff all acted like we were interrupting them and wished no one was there. I watched a server be asked a question from another person and roll their eyes as they answered them. The quality of the food was just OK and some worse than OK. It is not worth the price. The quality for the price was much better at the competitor next door(Captain Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood).

I tend to always go to a different seafood buffet every time I am in Myrtle Beach. Giant Crab is definitely one I would go again. The food selection and quality was great. The price is decent(don’t forget to tip your server as it is not included in the price). The staff is friendly from beginning to end. Our server was Claudia(I recommend choosing to seat in her section if allowed) she was polite and always made sure our table was clean(eating a lot of crab legs can create a big mess). The fact that Claudia made our dinner such a pleasant experience is the main factor that we would return to Giant Crab; because the food selection and quality tend to be the same as other big seafood buffets in the city. If you are looking to eat at a seafood buffet, we definitely recommend trying Giant Crab!

Food was what I expected. Extensive selection and average quality. But when it came to paying the bill I asked if they took AMEX. The server replied yes, but do you have anything else? Huh? Uh, ok I guess… used my debit card. When I returned home it had been charged twice for the total of $ 155.67. I tried calling several times but it went straight to voicemail and they didn’t return my call. I ended up opening a dispute with the bank who is handling it the way the restaurant should have.

The Giant Crab used to be my favorite buffet. This was my first time back in about two years. All of the food was overcooked. The crab was good, but difficult to break open. The other shellfish was chewy. The service was good with friendly servers and hosts. We will go to Benjamin’s next door next time.

Please don’t waste $ 32 on this place. There is no option other than the buffet and, although the selection is extensive, the food is way below average. The mashed potatoes were even yucky. If you plan to eat your weight in once-frozen crab legs, have at it. Otherwise, choose a less stinky, sticky and sad dining experience.

We were here on vacation and tried out the giant crab. The website stated $ 29.95 for adults, when we got there it was $ 32.95, not that big of deal if the food was good. It is a buffet that is well stocked, and kept up with. Problem is the food wasn’t that good. Crab legs were rubbery, and wouldn’t crack. Prime rib on buffet was dry and very tough. Only thing I found to be worth eating was the flan. The other deserts were pre cut and dried out.

For the price of 30 dollars for all you can eat crab legs it’s very good. They have plenty of choices and the dessert bar had some really good items on it. The pecan pie was great as was the stuffed clams.

$ 30 a person for a buffet, super humid and made me sick after only eating a few shrimp and some Mac and cheese. My husband and father in law were fine so I asked if only my buffet could be given at a discounted price. They refused, twice. I wasn’t asking for it to be free. They could have accommodated me by giving me any type of discount even if it was just a coupon(I. E. $ 2 off adult buffet). What kind of customer service do you have if someone is sitting in your restaurant sick because of your atmosphere and you cant provide a simple discount? There was all kinds of stuff in the ranch dressing(cheese, bacon bits, olives). What food I did eat was not warm, Mac and cheese would have been better if it came out of a box.

Really nice people working there!!! food is sooooo bad i wouldn’t go again!!! not even for«Free»!!! i don’t understand how they’ll this happen, its a nice place in great location, pretty restaurant, full of people… don’t get it!!! 100 $ for two adults and 1 kid under 4 years old… really??? for that food??? I felted ripped of bad!!! if «golden corrals» starts to serve Crabb legs in their buffet it will be a better option al day long!!! Seriously mutch better… I’m sorry for my comments but you guys have to start serving better food or charging less…

Disgusting! The hostess was rude, the manager was just as rude, and the food was awful. We were there well before closing but towards the end of the evening. Food was burnt, prime rib was inedible, dessert buffet was never cleaned up. Utensils lying in the pudding. The crab legs were good. The wait staff was attentive.

Mediocre at best. Place smelled unappealing when you walked in. Save your money and head to a real seafood restaurant. Our server Ramey was amazing, that was the only saving grace.

Felt like a really weird dream! You know the one where you wake up and are like«WTF» was that about. If you have the time to sit and eat hundreds of crab legs then it may be worth it. I went with a group of golf buddies while we were in MB for the weekend, we knew what we where in for and it was certainty a memorable, once in a lifetime experience. I will say, I wasn’t hungry for next 2 days, or maybe I just didn’t feel like eating. GIANTCRAB!!!

The other reviews are so negative I was nervous about going. For $ 30 the buffet was great! There is also a coupon online for $ 5 off. The crab legs were hot and they refilled them multiple times. The corn muffins were warm and delicious! They have a hibachi station where you can pick your ingredients and they cook it right in front of you. My boyfriend had their jambalaya soup that he said was delicious! Their clams were small but good. There was a variety of fresh and fried seafood. There were things that weren’t my favorite but you would find that at any buffet. I would definitely recommend this place!

Crab legs were salty. The buffet… while there are various items none were worth it. My frozen drink you couldn’t even taste the alcohol. Overall I wouldn’t come back or recommend.

Great selection of food. Everything is just fine, nothing surprise, nothing very impressive. It’s slightly overpriced($ 30.99), with most seafood deep fried. The crab legs were ok, but probably the best out of everything there. Somehow the steam oysters smell really bad and I had to hold my breath when walking by *_* They take picture at the entrance for you, and stated it’s «free». After dinner, you can follow the sign to pick up your«free» picture, which is like half of a credit card size, or pay $ 10 for the actual picture. The photo background was nothing special and couldn’t really tell where the picture was taken without their picture holder. If you are looking for unlimited crab legs or wide selection of food, this is a good place. If you are looking for great seafood, I recommend you taking the $ 30 or add little more to go other regular seafood restaurant, not all-you-can-eat kind.

I will give it 3 stars, but only for the crab legs. If you are looking for all you can eat crab legs, knock yourself out. They were warm, juicy, and plentiful. Everything else was not so much. The place smells like an old antique store or something. It needs some serious TLC for sure. The other items on the buffet can only be classified as bad attempts. Te staff seemed very nice. Our waitress was especially good.
