I love to come to this place. The food is only decent but I come back for the drinks and service. The bartenders and servers are always really good to me.

It’s St Patrick’s Day and Handleys has a great crowd. Green beer down to shots cane out quick! Out server was great in help explaining the happy hour and specials. Great atmosphere, vibe, live music, and most importantly — staff! Outside patio is spacious and open everyday. I recommend this place highly for any locals or tourist alike!

Great food and beer was fairly priced. The service was okay at best. The servers seemed to get annoyed every time they were asked anything. Not a good place to watch football unless you are wanting to watch the one game they choose to show. 10 tv’s outside and 5 had the same game while the other 5 had 3 different games that weren’t even prime games. Hard to ask the servers to change cause they would get annoyed but other than that the food was really good!

Good pub grub! I had the stuffed potato skins and they were great! The food was hot, the beer was cold, and my server, Tiffany, was fantastic! She was attentive and funny and definitely an asset to that restaurant!

The food and beer selection were great. Food is traditional American/British pub-style food. They have a lot of sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. I had the Chicken Pesto wrap, which was delicious. Ambience is very chill. We sat outside. Even in the hot 90 degree weather, fans blow liberally. In the winter, heat lamps keep you warm, and the exterior«walls» are zipped up to keep in all the warmth.

Handley’s is truly the best kept secret in Carolina Forest. I absolutely adore their buffalo chicken dip, big private booths and old English charm. The only reason they don’t get five stars from me is the occasional obnoxious bar party and smokers. Still, a wonderful pub! We’ve tried most of their sandwiches and they were all yummy. Service is normally very good as well.

Went there for Thursday trivia night while on vacation at Myrtle Beach. We all got wings and they were good as was the service and prices. We were not happy with the the fact that smoking was allowed in both the bar area and the semi-enclosed patio area(where trivia was played). We probably wouldn’t have gone there if we had known that in advance, as some family members suffer with allergies.

I met some friends for game night one afternoon. They were have half price apps. I was skeptic of «bar» food but Handley’s proved me wrong. Food was to die for. Up there with some of the best food I have eaten in the Myrtle Beach area. Wait staff was prompt and service was great. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone. Keep up the great work!

The burgers are huge and delicious. It is family friendly. They have bingo nights which are so much fun. A decent happy hour and they have a late night menu. Great location. I have been twice and have enjoyed it both times. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. However it does get kind of loud so just be prepared.

After months and months of driving by Handley’s, my husband and I decide to finally stop in for a pitcher and an appetizer. I love the back covered«courtyard» area. We ordered the Brit Chips. Fries covered in cheddar cheese, brow gravy, bacon and tomatoes with sour cream on the side. Loaded disco fries! Can’t wait to go back for happy hour.

Preface: Not from the area, was recommended this place by the front-desk attendant at the local resort we were staying. We liked this place so much the first night we were in Myrtle(which basically was just a quick place to eat after a grueling 12 hour drive), we went back two nights later. HIGHLIGHTS: — Fun and Casual; A VERY lively sports-bar that is EXTREMELY family and kid-friendly. There were a lot of large groups here enjoying their meals, a conversation, or one of the dozens of tv’s. But there were also small groups of guys/sports fans there to check out the game and knock back a few. Pool tables, jukeboxes, Golden Tee, cornhole/baggo, an outdoor dining patio and more pretty much round out the typical sports bar/grille feel of the place.(Totally unrelated: I respect a place that features/plays Radiohead, Arcade Fire, and a bunch of other alt rock choices that I’d NEVER hear on a jukebox at an eatery. Solid.) — Good Food; The menu selection was basically your standard UK/Pub fare: shepard’s pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, fried pickles, wraps, salads, steaks… an all around robust menu. But, the best part is, everything was good! On two separate occasions, we had a few of the appetizers, several entrée’s, and a few salads and everything tasted really good. Way above what you would think was standard bar fare. — GREAT Prices; We live in NJ/NY Metro area and were not prepared for the reasonable cost of a meal. Two appetizers, two entrees and drinks came out to under $ 50. What was even more unbelievable was how affordable the drinks were! A martini for less than $ 5? Preposterous! A pint of Guinness for under $ 4? Unheard of! But at Handley’s it’s true. — Service; Friendly and warm. We Yankees weren’t used to the concept of just coming in and sitting at an open table(a common practice we noticed in Myrtle) so we felt like idiots just standing near the front door for almost 5 minutes. But our waitresses on both nights were extremely attentive and helpful. — Theme Nights; The second night we went back was specifically because we wanted to compete in Trivia Night! They do trivia on Mondays and Thursdays, and Bingo on Wednesdays. The trivia night was fun and challenging. A good crowd showed up with a mix of old and young alike. Gift certificates were offered for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place(not to brag, but a certain reviewer and his guest came in 3rd… and didn’t even need to use our phones to cheat *cough* 1st place winners *cough*), and the best part is we were NOT pressured to keep eating and drinking throughout the night. We both had a salad and 2 – 3 drinks a piece and that was over the duration of about 2 and a half hours of trivia fun. Big ups to Handley’s for making it all about the Trivia. Would definitely make sure to do that again. LOWLIGHTS — Time; Not to be terribly nitpicky, but the place wasn’t too mobbed on both occasions that we went and the food was a bit slow to get to us. Granted, the food tasted great, and all good things are worth waiting for. But if you are expected to go in, get out, and have it shoved down your gullet pretty quickly… that’s not Handley’s. Again, this is not a knock on the place, but I think it’s a consideration for the kind of eatery’s that you’d associate with Handley’s. VERDICT: Go there on a Trivia or Bingo night, bring a bunch of friends, and just have a great time. Low-key, casual, and awesome. Why go to Applebee’s, Chili’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, or some other crappy chain place when Handley’s is the real deal. Better food, better atmosphere, and for the same price.
