I just had lunch here for the first time. They have a very good special, meat with three sides and a drink for $ 6.99. I had the jerk chicken with dirty rice, collard greens and okra with tomatoes. The food was very tasty and just about the right portion for lunch — enough to fill you up without leaving you sluggish. The jerk chicken had enough kick to notice, not so much to leave my nose running and mouth burning. Everything on the plate was delicious. The restaurant is pretty new and as such wasn’t terribly busy. The server was quite attentive and checked in frequently. The food came out quickly. The décor is a little more upscale than I was expecting, black tablecloths on the tables and cloth napkins. There is a bar setup in the middle and I overheard a conversation about how they stay open after the kitchen closes, presumably with the bar still open. I’d recommend this place for lunch in a heartbeat and will definitely be back. It seems worth trying for dinner as well.
