Excellent place to hang out and still see the beach action as well. The drinks are typical bar drinks and they have plenty of draft beers. We played the jukebox, and she turned on(and up) so that we could enjoy it outside. The sound system is awesome! There are corn hole boards with an easy scoreboard to use. There is plenty of seating outside. The bartender was extremely attentive, and would come out to wait on us as well. She was genuinely friendly, wish I could remember her name! Lol Do not forget to ask the bartender to borrow a marker to leave your message on the bathroom wall. It looks like a typical tourist thing but I could not resist! Love this place!

Cute, beachy place with a tropical theme. I was the only person there but I felt like I was bothering the bartender. I only had one drink. I wasn’t offered a second and wasn’t heartbroken to go elsewhere.

If you are in myrtle beach looking for something that isn’t an over expensive tourist trap. Go here! Didn’t eat the food but the menu is cheap. Bar tender was super nice and awesome. Offered advice on cabs, places to eat/go, etc. I came here on a Monday night at 9 so it was dead, but that was fine with me and my boyfriend. I highly recommend this place. 4 minute walk from the boardwalk!

This place is a little bit set back from the beach strip, but easy enough to get to. We chilled here for while and loved it. It’s family owned, and they were all so nice. It has a nice down home feeling, and the drinks are absurdly cheap considering it’s a beach bar. They have food too, but we didn’t have any. If you are wanting a break from the absurdity of some of the beach bars, this is a great place to take a break from the cray.

We had just arrived in MB and needed a drink since it took us forever to arrive due to flight delays. We weren’t staying too far from this place and it was open late. We were greeted with a warm welcome an and a girl at the bar quickly told us we need to try the apple pie shots. We had some shots and they were so delicious I decided to make the apple pie shot a full drink. The bartender was so nice and after making us a few apple pie shots he made us some cinnamon twist shots and drinks. The best part of this location is the very cheap prices, everything seemed to be $ 3!

A little bit of a hop and a skip away from the Myrtle Beach strip, Parrot Bar & Grill offers some solid drinks for super affordable, i.e. CHEAP prices. Yes, this is pretty much your average, run-of-the-mill bar, but there’s so much more character to Parrot than you’d find at the overpriced and overcrowded spots closer down by the beach. Locals chillin’ and chit chattin’ out on the patio, super friendly staff on the inside helping my group get our drink on, jutebox playing some old school tunes, etc… Didn’t feel like a tourist trap at all. Oh, and those apple pie shots. Holy cow. Literally tastes like drinking an apple pie. I have no idea what was in it… I’m putting me bets on moonshine, y’all! Tasted like some liquid gold, and hits ya in the face like a brick. Not on the menu, instead they plaster the walls with signs for them. I think they were like, a dollar a shot? Yah, dangerous, I’m telling you. Can’t say much about the food. I had some buffalo wings, which hit the spot as a pre-dinner snack. I remember flipping through the menu and impressed by how, again, affordable the prices were.

I thought this was a great little bar. I didn’t have food, but I stopped there for drinks twice while I was in town. The drink prices were less than other bars around, and the staff was very friendly.

SKIPTHISPLACE… I thought it might be decent, the music was blarring outside and it seemed promising. We ordered drinks and my husband’s mixed margarita came in a plastic cup-really ghetto and it was wicked expensive for the drinks and the food. Something wasn’t right with the jalepeno poppers. I was sick the rest of the day because of the place. And as the other reviewer said, that waiter was the cook.

We stopped in for lunch. The food was reasonable price-wise for the beach, but the drinks were served in a plastic type of cup the type that you get mixed drinks in. Considering that it was 90 degrees outside, it wasn’t really enough liquid. That alone knocked it down a star for me. On the plus side, I had a phillycheese steak that was well cooked on a great roll. The wait staff was friendly, but it took a while to get our food because I think the waiter was also the cook. Overall, it was good food but bad atmosphere.
