I called last night to order Panaeng Curry, but instead of beef I asked if I could have shrimp instead. I heard the lady on the phone say«Mom, can you make shrimp panaeng?» Then the lady said to me «I’m sorry. She says it only goes with beef or chicken. It won’t taste good with shrimp.» OK. So, I ordered it with chicken. I think its wonderful when a chef stands up for what they believe in. Anyway, the Panaeng Curry with chicken was great.(The menu specifies beef in the panaeng, so if you want chicken you have to ask for it.) I had take-out and it made two good sized meals. I just finished the second a few minutes ago and it was great. This dish has a taste that most Americans will find unusual. But, I would describe this as «comfort food». I just want to keep eating it even after I’m full. It’s probably an ‘acquired’ taste.

Complete respect for an independent business owner to take it on by themselves. Our food was perfect. Perfectly spiced. Pad Thai is the best I’ve had. Will come back when passing through. Nice to meet you!

I loveeeeeed food here. I don’t review generally but I couldn’t help this time because no one should miss this food. Owner’s mother is the cook here. Mom’s food never goes wrong :))

Excellent Thai food. A little hole in the wall place, nothing fancy, but delicious. I’ve had the Green Curry chicken, pad Thai, Thai wings, drunken noodles. All were great.

I’m sorry I waited so long to try this place. It’s on our normal rotation now and the best Thai place I’ve found in Myrtle Beach. They’ve always modified the heat level for me if the dish allowed it. And I love that when I complimented the girl on the food her reply was«That’s great! I’m tell my mom, she’s the cook.»

Here on business and decided to fulfill my Thai craving. Definitely home made type which is nice and will probably go back tomorrow for dinner again.

not bad, everything was pretty good. In comparison to NYC Thai places, its mid-range. For SC, its pretty good.

I hate to be the desenting voice, but I was not blown away. Out of the way, but I kind of like treasure hunts. Atmosphere was odd at best. Cafeteria feel, complete with fast food bench seating. Odd Thai music videos playing on a tiny tv. Overall the food was good, not amazing. Tom Kha had no coconut flavor and fried spring rolls were heavy with oil. But the yellow curry was really good. This is the first time I will say Unilocal kind of failed us.

wow — this place was amazing. I was intrigued by possibility to visit and review the place that had 5 Unilocal stars(out of five). You don’t see that very often. It took us ~15 minutes of drive time as we were located 70th Ave N. GPS took care of that(easy!). Make sure you pay attention to their business hours(Tuesday to Saturday, dinner only!). The place is super clean but simple and authentic. When we came in, there were several groups of people, still, it didn’t feel too busy or else. The food was prepared and made for every guest with fresh ingredients. Super tasteful and well done. Our big group(two families with kids) had a blast. Pad Thai(came with spring rolls) was A+. Curry(beef) was spicy — another great experience. Prices of all meals were super reasonable. $ 9-$ 10 per meal. Pops were only $ 1. Beer between $ 2.50 — $ 4.00 We plan on going to this place another time, before we leave this area. We will surely be back when we visit again.

Came here with my book club. It took a while to get our meals, but well worth the wait. Fresh food. I had the pad thai it was wonderful. A few people had the Pineapple Curry Rice and it looked so good, that is what I will have next time! Restaurant is open for dinner only.

Thai Palms is the freshest most authentic Thai food I have had in the South! Don’t be scared away by the location! It’s off the main tourist track and it’s a little hard to find in a tiny strip mall, but it is a great find in Myrtle Beach. It is a family-run, reasonably-priced, super fresh restaurant. They will make almost everything on the menu vegetarian. I ordered one of the curry dishes and they used lightly fried tofu instead of meat, which was awesome of them! The pad thai was also really yummy and the fresh spring rolls(not fried) were incredible! They were served with a trio of sauces and we honestly couldn’t decide which one we liked best. I highly recommend coming here if you want to get away from the tourist attractions and try authentic Thai food.

Very authentic thai food made scratch from fresh ingredients. Food was excellent. We had our kids with us and they were given a little special dessert too. We saw a few people come in for take out too. We would go again.

Seriously, they have the best fresh thai food in the Myrtle Beach area!!! Green curry is hands down the best on the menu, followed closely by their Chicken Basil dish. Try the thai iced coffee if you love iced coffee… its awesome and less fattening than others.

The Wife and I just had lunch: this is definitely a Keeper. Vegetable Spring Rolls are Excellent; Fried Rice was above average, prices are reasonable. I also had Panaeng Curry, med spicy, could have been a Little Spicier BUT my only problem was I could not eat it All. Next itime we get it to Go or be prepared to take home leftovers. We will be back with Friends.
