The Italian Hoagie is wonderful! Great meats with sweet peppers on a wonderfully fresh hoagie. Service is always prompt and so friendly. A real gem.

This is a great place with great food. Would eat lunch here every day if I lived anywhere near here. Yummy sandwiches, breads made the right way. Find a way to go through here. Had the eggplant parm sandwich, wife the antipasto salad, +++. Took bread, roasted peppers and biscotti on the road.

Took awhile to get waited on once we sat down and service wasn’t as friendly/welcoming, but the cheesesteak hoagie was great. Beware though, it is large! I ate half and picked at the rest because I couldn’t fathom being able to finish it.

This is a great sandwich shop. Built in a new location with a good variety of items and a good kids menu. Service was friendly, ate outside, great family dinner.

Always delicious! Ordered cheesesteaks for lunch and taking pizza home for dinner. Great food, great service. Step away from the cookie cutter dining options and try something tasty and authentic.

A true Italian Deli. We sat in to eat and had a great experience. The service was great. Our server was very helpful and very friendly. You could tell it wasn’t just a job to her. I had the Italian Hoagie with mac salad. The sub was better than I thought it would be. All of the ingredients down to the bread was fresh. I’m not usually a fan of peppers but I got my sub as it came. I’ll tell you what, those peppers were good! Semi sweet tasting. My friend got the special that night which was ravioli and meatballs. He said he liked it and they serve a huge portion. Personally, I wouldn’t have ordered that being in a deli and all, but to each their own. Based on the service and the quality of food I will definitely be back. Speaking of that… maybe I’ll get an Italian to go tonight. It really was that good. Worth checking out. There is a bocce court there and outside tables where I guess you can even bring your pooch. Worth a trip.

The last three times I had been in Myrtle Beach I have wanted to try this place and every time something happened, whether they were closed it we were else where. I finally got there and I bought a large mixture of desserts for us to try. We also bought a couple Italian pork sandwiches which are not only delicious but humongous. Two people can definitely split one. The desserts reminded me of the ones I eat when we visit family in Connecticut. Very authentic Italian pastries. We will definitely be returning and will be trying the pizza next time!

Cool place in the Market Commons area(on the periphery). In for dessert or coffee or a game of Bocce ball. Pizzas and subs and other sandwiches are available. Servers are really nice and you can take out or eat in with servers that come to your table. Outdoor seating is available and the desserts are so yummy looking. Award winning apparently(see their trophy case).

The Italian Hoagie is a thing of dreams! Amazing meats with delicious oils and peppers! The hoagie roll is so fresh! I come back for this sandwich time and time again! The side pasta salad is also good. The pastries are out of this world-especially the Jordan almonds and peanut butter bomb! The Jordan almonds are the best I’ve ever had. I eat can eat a whole pound of them in three days! The peanut butter bomb is absolutely sinful! Chocolate and peanut butter heaven! Service here is also always enjoyable. Such an essential little Italian bakery and deli!

Cute little restaurant that sells sandwiches, pizza, and has a small section of bakery goods! Stopped in for lunch while in the market common area. Was very busy! Hard to find both a parking space and a table inside. It’s a seat yourself/fast pace place. Once we were waited on, the food came out very very quickly. The hoagie I had was really good! Came with«special hoagie sauce». The size of this sandwich was enough for two meals for me. I grabbed a cookie and a French baguette for the road. The bread seemed fresh, the cookie was hard as a rock — I’m not sure how often cookies are baked and wrapped for selling. The bread was a good price $ 3.50 ish. And the one cookie was also $ 3. I thought the cookie was a rip off since it didn’t seem very fresh at all.

I’m writing this after we got home from eating here. I was craving a good Italian sub, so I went to Unilocal to help me out. This place had four and a half stars for a hundred reviews, so I figured it must be good! My girlfriend and I brought our dog because the whole Market Commons is dog friendly. She waited outside while I placed a to go order. It took a little while for someone to even come up to the counter and help me, but I figured maybe they’re busy. So I got their«best seller» Italian Hoagie. It didn’t take long to make, which was nice. They had tables outside, so we decided to sit down and eat because it was such a nice day. My dog was being good because he was focused on our food, and I was already done with my sandwich when one lady came out and told us we couldn’t sit there. She said«I thought you got your food to go? These are our tables, and it’s how we make our money. Also the dog side is over there(pointing to the tables around the corner) It’s the owners rule, not mine.» Mind you, there were no signs outside to tell people this beforehand. She was very nice but I mean really? Nobody was even sitting outside, and I didn’t see any servers outside. I’ve never been to a deli that wasn’t self serve, and this deli wasn’t anything to boast about either. I feel bad for the servers there because I can’t imagine them making good money at all because it’s a deli. Now to the actual food. I really wanted to find a good deli that tastes like NY/NJ subs. This place says their bread is freshly made, but the bread was hard and almost stale. The actual meat was good but not great, and the dressing was not much better. We will continue our adventure of finding a good, authentic deli, but this place is definitely not was it is advertised to be.

My wife and I love this place. We have tried most things on the menu, and have loved them all. Right now I’m on a big chicken Parmesan sandwich kick. Probably eating three or four a week, ha ha! No, really. We have been enjoying their Friday and Saturday night pasta specials, now are happy they’ve added weeknight specials. And don’t get me started on their pastries and breads! The staff is another reason we like to go there. Everybody is always helpful and friendly, except that one dude behind the grill. But I don’t mind, because he’s way busy! Haven’t had a chance to try out their place down south, but looking forward to it. It’s nice to see a local business grow like this. We loved them when they just had a little shop in the same location on the Air Force Base.

Oh, Toffino’s, what am I to do with you and your crazy, horseshoe shaped almond cookie things with chocolate on the ends for no reason at all?! Fearing an intervention, I’ve resorted to making excuses so I can continue to visit your establishment and facilitate my fix. Here’s how it plays out: Me: «Hey honey, I’m gonna meet a couple clients at Toffino’s for lunch, want anything? I’m just gonna grab a salad or something equally sensible.» Wife: «Um, you’re not just making excuses so you can keep getting those weird horseshoe shaped almond cookies are you? Weren’t you there yesterday?» Me: «Um, errr, no baby, that’s crazy talk… I’m watching what I eat in 2016 and sick of those silly looking things.» Wife: «Well okay then… surprise me with something; it was kind of you to ask. Me: «No problem, honey…»(mission accomplished) Seriously, I’ve enjoyed Toffino’s since I was a kid and it’s a blessing and a curse that it’s located across the street from my house. Everyone has their favorite thing here; some like the bread, some are all about the pizza while others enjoy the desserts. The fact of the matter is, everything is good. I’m particularly fond of the antipasto… delicious! This is the kind of place where you keep expecting a little Italian woman to come out and pinch your cheeks while demanding you eat more because you’re looking too thin! Toffino’s is practically an institution, here. Check out their menu on line, but no matter what you do, get a couple of those crazy horseshoe shaped cookies I mentioned! –Neil Be sure and follow me on Unilocal for other Myrtle Beach reviews. I live here so chances are if I like something, you’ll dig it too. See that little icon under my name to the left that says, «Follow this person on Unilocal?»…click that! We’ll be buds! Seriously, do it. I’m shallow and need that sort of validation in my life.

We have been patronizing Toffino’s since it was located in North Myrtle Beach and it was just a «BAKERY». But it was as good as any bakery I have been in. When they moved to the old Air Force base south of town and into a slighty larger facility that allowed them to have a small deli. A few years ago they did a major renovation to enlarge the deli as well as the bakery and most days you have to wait in line for a table. Today Mary had the ½ soup and ½ sandwich. She got tthe daily soup special, Beef Vegetable, and the Ham and Cheese sandwich on seeded rye. There was nothing left on her plate which tells how the quality was, unless she was starving of course, which she wasn’t. Tthe ham was piled about an 1 ½″ thick with several slices off cheese. I had the Chef Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing. Again the dressing was homemade with large chunks of cheese and was excellent. The ham and cheese, about 5 slices was cout into small cubes. Even though there was some lettuce left on my plate it wasn’t an indication of the quality but the quantity! This is the only place I have never been able to finish a salad. The salad and dressing are also excellent. And the staff are alwys friendly and treat you like they have known you forever. We plan to come back Friday tto try dinner for the first time.

We have stopped here a few times before to get pastries. Last night we went to get a pizza. We decided on a meat lovers pizza(sausage, ham and pepperoni) with bacon added. It was a thing of beauty. Covered in cheese and meat it was very tasty. Cold pizza is my favorite thing for breakfast and I am looking forward to the morning. Now on to the pastries. Of course we picked a few of them to take home. We have tried the Lemon Square, the Strawberry Slice, the Cheesecake Square(with cherries) and the because of rave reviews, the Lobster Roll. The Lemon Square is like a piece of lemon meringue pie. Flaky and melt in your mouth. The Strawberry Slice reminds me of a tiramisu(which they also had). The Cheesecake Square with cherries is by far my favorite. I don’t think I can give it a good description except that I will be getting that all the time. The Lobster Roll was a big disappointment to both Mike and I. It is a large cream puff but not puffy. We found the pastry shell itself to be a little chewy. I would definitely go back there and would love to try one of their sandwiches.

Yes indeed, if you’re looking for a place that reminds you of the great Italian bakery-delis of the Northeast, you’ve found it. I’m only an occasional visitor to MB, so I’ve checked out Toffinos several times for breakfast and once for lunch. Let it be said to begin with, this is not health food by any measure – you won’t see many green veggies or fresh fruit on the menu. The specialties include pizza, hoagies, and breakfast sandwiches that are second to none. The eggplant parmesan hoagie was very good. Egg sandwiches are enormous and sit on a fresh baked kaiser roll, something you won’t find many other places in the South. The«almond horseshoe» pastry was more than very good. I haven’t tried any of the other desserts which look tempting. Very pleasant staff – Lisa and the other servers are professionals… friendly and efficient. I’ve been lucky and only been there in the mid-late morning hours when things are pretty quiet, so I’ve never had to wait as some other reviewers have indicated.

Last night, my husband took me to our favorite dinner spot. Along the way, we passed Toffino’s, and he suggested we leave some room for dessert and we’ll give this place a try. I didn’t stuff myself at dinner and in fact took half home. We didn’t know the hours of operation, so we just hurried after dinner to Toffino’s. This is a Bakery/Pizzarria. I’ve never seen any place like in in Myrtle Beach. We walked in and to the right of the counter are ovens, just above is a blackboard with their pizza’s with toppings, along with Cheesesteak sandwiches. My eyes glared to the left, where they have fresh breads and rolls, with two cases of real Italian pastries, unfilled cannolis(they’re filled to order), Almond Horns, cream puffs, elephant ears, chocolate oatmeal cookies, carrot cake, chocolate horns and so many other specialty desserts. My husband ordered a French Horn filled with Italian Custard. I was dizzy with delight, as I hadn’t seen any desserts near to this, since I had been to Brooklyn. I ordered the Almond Horn and we both sat for coffee and our pastries. My husband took a huge bite of his French horn(he was a bit leary, as the custard looked like vanilla pudding). The«ummh» came from his mouth, and I asked him if it was real custard, he rolled his eyes back in his head and nodded. I took my fork and tried it, it was genuine and absolutely delicious. I then tried my Almond Horn, which was as amazing as you could possibly expect. Tons of slice almonds covering the gooey almond filling with the ends topped in an amazing chocolate. I’m sorry, I’ve hardly mentioned the coffee. It was good, but mine was not Columbian, as is my preference. It was my fault, I didn’t ask for it. I was just so taken with the displays of epicurean delights. I was like a little kid and couldn’t wait for the desserts. George was our server and he was polite and answered any questions we had about the food. He, too was a treasure, and kept our coffee cups full. I should say this place is horrible, as I don’t want to return to find long lines here, but the fact is, this place is a long needed goldmine in this area. We saw another couple dining on their pizza, which looked authentic and delicious. Next time we’ll try that. As far as the pastries are concerned, nobody does it better, in at least a 30 mile radius, that I’m aware of. Customers walked in and left with shopping bags full of white bakery boxes, with their delectable desserts inside, all the while we were there. All I kept thinking about was excuses I could use to have my husband bring me back. If anyone gives this less than 5 stars, it might be for the lines they’d have to wait on to get in, but believe me, it is worth it. We were lucky, as we went during the week in the evening and although they were a little busy, we were well taken care of. We returned to try their pizza, which was amazing and it tastes like they use fresh mozzarella. My Italian husband and I were very satisfied. He also brought a few lobster tails home for his midnight raid in the kitchen. I got an elephant ear and an almond horn, so we don’t have to go back tomorrow.

At some point as mentioned on my first review I went back for lunch and had a sandwich. It’s been so long I cannot tell you about it. It’s been so long it was before they renovated! Moving on– I went back recently to feed my sweet tooth. I was not disappointed! I popped in pretty late, but they still had a nice selection of goodies in the case. I chose a lobster roll, chocolate horseshoe, and once again the chocolate mousse cake roll. Lobster Roll– I’m a Southern girl, I don’t eat too many Italian pastries. But IMHO, that thing was pretty stinkin’ good. Jammed full of cream, flakey pastry– my only comment is the bottom was a bit soggy. I’m sure from all the filling. But it wasn’t bad, just something I noticed. Chocolate Horseshoe– pretty good– nothing wrong, but I’d prefer a chocolate croissant. Chocolate Mousse Cake Roll– delicious. Enough said. Despite not being super busy and the fact I was obviously checking out the case– I still had to walk to the register to order. Maybe that’s the norm? It was nice to see the larger space for the first time since they completed the renovation. Staff was friendly, and I’ll try to remember to take photos of my lunch next time I eat here!
