We had so much fun getting a dozen different flavors. My kids were thrilled to find a surprise inside each one. The s’mores had a graham cracker crust bottom w marshmallow cream filling, a tiny candy flame, and a chunk of Hershey’s chocolate. There was a chocolate peanut butter cupcake that had a layer of PB In the bottom, and a chocolate covered strawberry cupcake with a layer of strawberry jam! So much thought and creativity has gone into each cupcake, it’s easy to see why this place is a winner.

Great place. My only complaint is that they don’t have the Sweet Cherry Pie cupcake often.

I don’t understand what the hype is about here. They’re unique, somewhat. But the past 3 – 4 times we’ve ordered a cake or gotten cupcakes, they’ve been bland and overly sweet to the point of being unappetizing. Their cookies and cream cake wasn’t even edible we couldn’t make it through 2 bites each. A for creativity and décor, D for flavor and standing out above the rest. The white choc cheesecake is prob the best item on the menu, but I’ve also learned the majority of their cakes are frozen when you do special orders for events, so that immediately turned me off from ordering anymore than just a quick walk in treat. There’s much better at the beach, popular doesn’t make you the best. Just because it’s the only shop anyone has heard of around here bc they were on food network…

I’m a huge lover of cake! I would choose cake and/or cupcakes over cookies, brownies, or other baked goods off of a table any day! I was so excited to come to coccadotts to try the cupcakes! We spent a few minutes looking through the glass of all the different kinds, trying to decide what ones to try for our first visit. We ended up getting the cannoli cupcake and the peanut butter cupcake! I’m one to love sugar and crazy sweets, but surprisingly, the cannoli one was TOOSWEET for me. I don’t think I would choose that flavor cupcake again. However, the peanut butter cupcake, was a hit! Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting! Yes please!!! I did think they were a dry. So a helpful tip, either buy a drink, or bring something with you! But as far as the different kinds/flavors, I am excited to go back and try them all! They do appear to be a bit pricey — $ 2.50 per cupcake, and quite honestly, they aren’t very large. So that could be a turn off to many. Also no where to really sit and enjoy. They so have a couple benches outside, but that it. No where to sit indoors.

We stopped by here during a week night to try out the cupcakes. Here’s my short and sweet opinion. 1. The cupcakes are good, there’s no doubt about it, and the flavors are unique. I’m not a huge cupcake fan but I’m not removing points for that. 2. The shop not having any, even small, tables outside or inside to eat them is disappointing. 3. The price of the cupcakes IMO is borderline insanity. $ 2.50 per cupcake is way to high compared to the size that they are. Overall I think the hype/price isn’t deserved. It’s a neat cupcake shop, but the odds of me dying to come back aren’t too high. Also side note my girlfriend who loves cupcakes like no one I’ve ever seen enjoyed them a lot but still agreed they’re too expensive.

I’ve had bad experiences with this shop, but decided to try it again. We ordered a cake for a birthday party, paid for it the day before we picked it up, and when we came back all hell broke loose. The cake was decorated incorrectly, the staff was extremely rude and sassy to both myself and other customers, and the cake decorator had a serious attitude problem when we asked her to fix the already incorrect cake. When we left she told us we hadn’t paid for the cake, when we had and had a receipt and she demanded that we pay again since they didn’t have it on record, even though we had a receipt. The woman chased us out to the car, put her foot in my car door and refused to let me drive away without paying. She threatened to call the police as well. After all of that, and finding our receipt proving we paid we got a call a few days later from the owner who was still very rude and didn’t seem concerned at all about the magnitude of disrespect and the unprofessional staff. I will never go here again for the staff alone.

Cute shop for cakes, cupcakes and more. I am definitely a cupcake snob so the cupcakes and cake we got here was good, but I’ve definitely had better. The prices were very reasonable though and there was a good variety to choose from.

I would like to personally thank Carly McDonald for all her help with the past 3 baby showers that I’ve hosted. It makes life so much easier when your able to interact with someone who has complete knowledge of your products and pricing. Ever since Carly has worked for the company I’ve never had to worry that my order wouldn’t be executed correctly. She truly is a great asset to your company and should be recognized for all of her hard work and dedication.

Let me start off by saying we’ve stopped into this bakery multiple times(@ least 3 or 4). The flavors always sound great but we always leave unsatisfied. I’ve thrown away part of my cupcake every time. So has my daughter(she’s 5!). The cupcakes aren’t very moist. The icing is very sweet yet has a weird mouth feel. Maybe they use crisco instead of butter? Everyone raves about this place & I’ve given them a fair shot. Too many other great bakeries to waste your time here.

Awesome, inventive, creative, and diverse. These all perfectly describe Coccadotts. If you want some deliciously moist and creative flavors, head on over. They are all rich and yet light at the same time. I’ve had several different types and I haven’t disliked one of them. I visit every time I’m in Myrtle Beach, and you should too!

Cakes mark special occasions and Cocoadotts certainly made my nephews special! While in Myrtle Beach to celebrate his 30th birthday he was surprised by us with a PBR beer can cake. It was so authentic looking it was amazing. Not only was the cake so attractive to the eyes, the cake itself was scrumptious! It was by far the most moist, delicious cake. I also need to mention the extraordinary Frozen castle they made for my granddaughters 3rd birthday. It was a work of art. Kudos to the staff of Cocoadotts! The Grand Strand is lucky to have you!

Must check this place out! On our 3rd day in Myrtle Beach we were discussing things we hadn’t found and I said a cupcake shop because we have so many at home! Checked Unilocal and found 2! One appeared to be a fancy smanzy high end cupcake café. Coccadotts had numerous pics and many post of how great they were. I knew this was the cupcake place to check out!!! Upon walking in I was amazed at all the choices! At home they make certain flavors certain days and small amounts! We got a dozen but have atleast 3 more I wanted to try! The service was quick and helpful to answer all questions about the flavors! Cost was comparable to other cupcake shops I’ve visited! Plus we got a buy 6, get 6 for our next visit… however since we leave in a few days I paid it forward and gave it to a customer in the parking lot! You will not be disappointed!

I have been to Coccadotts to see their fare. The establishment is conveniently located in the Sayrebrook Shopping Center, in front of Target. There is a huge case displaying an immense assortment of flavors of cupcakes, more than I knew there could be. On top of that counter, were a bunch of small, unfrosted cupcakes for sampling. I had one, or two, or three, while waiting to be attended to. These cupcakes were moist, light and delicious as well as eye appealing. I recall getting a coconut, snickers, lemon and chocolate topped cupcakes, amongst my selection. None of these were oily, stale or over sweetened. They were just perfect. I cannot recall the exact price, but I believe it was about $ 18.00 for six. I paid and left, and took one more sample, as I felt a bit ripped off by the price. I brought these delicacies home and my son loved them, and I had one, perhaps two. The frosting was also perfectly sweetened and flavored. The coconut was my favorite. When I discussed the price with my son, we agreed that it was expensive. I took away one star, because of the exorbitant price, as if I went across the Bypass, I could buy six cupcakes for about $ 3.00, and it would easily appease my sweet tooth, although they could not compete with the beautiful and flavorful cupcakes at Coccadotts.

What a hidden little gem that my friend and I stumbled upon! I was visiting the area and my friend suggested Atlanta Bread, which is next door. I have a super sweet tooth and got super excited when I saw that this place sold cupcakes! After lunch, I made a fast dash inside Coccadotts. I was in cupcake heaven! They had such unique flavors! I ended up with 4 types: lemon, cannoli, cookies and crème, and cherry(refer to picture on Unilocal.) They were super yummy. The frosting on the cannoli really tastes like a real cannoli! My favorite of the 4 is a tie between cannoli and cookies and crème. Each was not too sweet. Each cupcake’s consistency was good, I don’t like«airy» cupcakes with lots of holes inside. These cupcakes also don’t break the bank as each is $ 2.50. Service was great and one of the best parts about this hidden gem is that they provide mini vanilla cupcakes as samples! I would totally make it a point to come visit Coccadotts the next time I visit South Carolina! There’s also a location in Albany, NY.
