Tokyo Nachos! There, I said it. I could of just been satisfied with just those, but I needed my sushi fix. The rolls were fresh and presented well. They were packed with flavor too. The place is huge but the sushi bar is small. The service was pleasant and accommodating. I will definitely go back my next time in Mystic.

Average food, fair prices, great service. The sushi was ok except they ran out of all white fish on Friday night n we were there at 5:15 on Saturday so we ended up choosing salmon. We also had littlenecks which were pretty good but a bit small. The seafood pasta was average — not bad but not noteworthy — same goes for the fish n chips. A bit pricey for food that is just average.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Clam chowder was great! We ordered fish and chips, seafood pasta and fish tacos. Everything was delicious, but fish tacos with southwestern cabbage slaw and Mexican crema were my favorites. It was one of our 3 days in Mystic and every day I ordered fish tacos in different restaurant. No doubts, that Go Fish version was the best by few levels up. I wish I had their recipe for southwestern cabbage slaw. Amazing to my taste. The service was very good. Friendly, quick, attentive. Thank you!

There last night with family and we all loved what we had. Three of us ordered the Seafood Pasta, one had the Fish Tacos and one had the Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich. For appetizers, the Fried Calamari and a bowl of Steamed Mussels was also great.(All pictured) As mentioned by other diners, the freshest tasting seafood, generous portions and great service and ambiance. When entering the restaurant at 5:15 the hostess took us into the small darker room near the entrance with no ambiance. We immediately looked into the main dining room with all the lights and pictures and bar and immediately asked to be seated there. EATINTHELARGEMAINDININGROOM !!! In all restaurants,(when early they want to get rid of the worst seatings) From the bread basket with seafood dip to the desserts, it was the best. This will be another fave place of mine where we will be dining a lot. Only a 25 minute drive from Westerly, RI. Worth the trip!!! Our server CASEY was the best and recommended some of the dishes we had. We all agreed! He even asked us to let him know when we’d like to order the main entrees, as we wanted time to enjoy the appetizers and space the meals nicely. He’s that considerate. You won’t be disappointed here. I see some of the reviews and I don’t get it. Everything last night was perfect for us! I’ll post a couple of tips! Enjoy! This is another time, posted pics. Some same dishes. Our waiter was Ian who’s great! Patient with us and our changing orders and our sense of humor. Thanks Ian! We also told his boss we thought he was great. This time I had the Lobster Grilled Cheese! Wow! My wife had the salmon burger. VG! French onion soup and shrimp cilantro appetizer, great! ****. Happened Today… Sunday. **** For seniors 62 and older, «25% off» the entire bill SUNDAYONLY for Lunch and Dinner.(Our $ 140 bill was now $ 105)

We recently visited Mystic for a baseball tournament and we wanted to find a venue for a team dinner. I called a number of places looking to book for a large group and got the same«no thanks, we can’t accommodate your group all in the same area of our restaurant» until I called Go Fish. I started with a group of 19, which grew to a group of 21(with no problem) and ended up to be a group of around 26 people(again, no problem or attitude when I called the day of with the change!!), half of them 11 year old boys. WELL, not only did management deal with my changes with grace BUT they gave us our own room, split the bills handily and professionally and our server was AMAZING. I mean, no one had an empty glass, no one was neglected, our meals were served ATTHESAMETIME and were HOT, she didn’t flinch for even a moment dealing with our kids and 6⁄6 final bills were spot on correct. Venue was fabulous, everyone enjoyed their meals and we all agreed that if we return to this tournament we will be booking Go Fish again for our team dinner.

Service was great, very friendly and efficient. However, I didn’t think the food was very noteworthy — not bad at all, but nothing I have to come back for. I sampled oysters, clam chowder, fish tacos, burrata & prosciutto, and nothing«wowed» me, hence the three star review.

I’ve been back to this resturant many times for there tuna steak, sushi and lobster grilled cheese sandwich(yum) and of course my daughter favorite ziti and red sauce. But today on there special list they had a seafood rissoto with an Alfredo sauce that blew my mind away with hints of lemon in the tossed calimari, shrimp, bay scallops and mussels and arborito rice it was cooked to perfection.

The décor is like stepping into a time capsule from 1992, and the waitress was totally inattentive. I tried the fish tacos which tasted decent enough, but were extortionately overpriced, seeing as there were like 3 tablespoons of fish in the entire dish. Such a scrimy little portion of fish! More accurately, I ate«cabbage tacos» with a very small sprinkling of fish. Anyway, we overheard the waitress telling another table that the lobster ravioli that the restaurant usually served were on backorder from the company that made them — ordering prepackaged ravioli and feeding it to customers? Not a good sign. Don’t think we’ll be back!

Disappointing, got a «roasted red beet salad» that had steamed beets(cold). Also got steamed mussels that were warm to cold at my table. My wife got veggie burger with fries. The fries were the best part of the meal. I will not go back again.

So we were looking for a nearby restaurant after we visited the Mystic Aquarium. I think other people had similar ideas so they were walking around aimlessly with us. Luckily there is the Old Mystic village just across the street that is filled with a bunch of neat little stores. Not just a couple but quite a few for you to peruse through. At the front of it all is Go Fish which received 3.5 stars at the time that I checked Unilocal for it. It has a sorta tacky decorated interior that was quite clean. We were going around 1:30pm and about half the place was full. You’ll find your usual dishes on the menu from a seafood restaurant including lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, oysters and mussels. For us we started with the tempura shrimp which was not bad, tasty but only 3 shrimp and at the end of the day nothing to write home about. The lobster bisque was thick and actually quite delicious. The bowl is a meal unto itself. The bratwurst was not bad, but if they added more sausage perhaps it could have been a better dish. Fish and chips was actually probably the best deal out there. plenty of fish breaded nicely on a bed of fries. The curry mussels weren’t bad either. All were very plump and the curry sauce was delicious. Not a bad restaurant but also nothing for me to really get excited about. If you’re looking for a place to eat nearby this is probably your best bet for something within walking distance.

I honestly thought this place was going to be good. Nice ambience… Nothing to fancy but nice! They brought bread with a great olive dip. My first impression was wow if the free bread n dip are good I can’t wait till the food came out! We ordered New England clam chowder that was decent n the crab cakes which where also pretty good(pause) that’s where it ends!!! My daughter got the red sauce pasta which was better at my high schoolI had the braised ribs over egg noodles which was disgusting!!! Then to top it off my wife ordered the $ 29 scallop entrée which was equally disgusting! Sorry we all went home hungry! The only plus was there black n tan beer was on the money!

I bought a groupon before our Foxwoods stay but I was disappointed to see their happy hour half off deal is actually much better than groupon. I won’t let that impact my review. Just an FYI for anyone buying. I got the bowl of chowder for $ 7.50. It was good but that’s very pricey for nothing out of the ordinary. I also ordered the lobster roll for $ 19.50 which is an average price. I think I saw someone wrote it was basically shaved lobster strings but it was large pieces and pretty good. It was served on a glossy bun which looked great but it was rather stale. Also came with a side salad which was a nice touch. My girlfriend got the black bean burger and barely ate it. I added 4 oysters at $ 2.50 each to get us to $ 50 for the groupon. Didn’t order any drinks since we have a big night ahead of us. I’d recommend it for the 4:30 happy hour but not for the groupon or regular prices. You may as well go to a place on the ocean, although I will say it was spacious, neat and clean.

I had the bbq salmon and was not impressed. The lobster bisque hardly had any lobster and tasted more buttery. The pumpkin cocktail martini was watered down. I had two other martinis that lacked flavor. I was not impressed with the food and drinks and as a New Yorker I am use to the flavors and variety of cooking styles and my dish was not impressive to me. I suggest going to Downtown Mystic and try a good seafood place.

Sushi at Go Fish Mystic. If you want the authentic Japanese Sushi in CT, and perhaps RI and MA, this is the place. Believe me! I am a Japanese born Sushi specialist. Sushi rice, fish and the presentation was perfect, thanks to the master chef owner Jerry-San. The sever Tim was very efficient and pleasant. I highly recommend this place if you want the authentic Sushi.

Finally went here last night after wanting to for years. I should have gone years ago when perhaps the décor was fresh and new. So uncomfortable to be in this huge, worn, early nineties space. So we sat at the sushi bar as we wanted sushi but they don’t serve it at the regular HUGE bar. The staff was friendly but too many of them standing around when they could be taking care of us or cleaning the huge mess in the ladies room. The sushi chefs were awesome. Very nice and knowledge. Sushi was fresh and very good but not spectacular. The menu just seemed dated and the specials we asked about weren’t all that special. But again, sushi was fresh and fish quality outstanding. It needs a makeover badly. From torn and dirty carpet to the dated décor. Went once. No need to again.

Totally stumbled upon this place by accident on our way to NYC this past weekend and oh boy, we are so glad we did! We went on and tried multiple 4 – 5 star restaurants in NYC but still thought that Go Fish was better. Must tries at this place — Tokyo Nachos. Please check your calorie conscious self and order these. Yes, it’s chips and yes, it’s a load of spicy mayo but your taste buds will thank you. Their spicy hand rolls are so good as well. There’s a larger amount of sesame seeds in their rice mixture which I thought helped it taste more unique than others I’ve tried. My daughter who regularly orders chicken fingers wouldn’t stop commenting on how fresh and yummy her meal tasted. Our server was super nice and attentive and we were in and out within the hour and back to the highway to continue on our trip. All in all, 5 stars all the way.

Love this place! We have the best bartender around, Allie-Sue We come in for happy hour on occasion when the bar menu is half price, can’t beat it. The lobster roll with a delicate lemon flavor, jumbo shrimp with spicy cocktail sauce, sushi sampler, I could go on. Everything is fresh fresh fresh. The selections change occasionally to spice it up. Tonight they are serving holiday spiced eggnog latte, yum! Worth a trip and the wait(if there is one) any season.

We were supposed to meet him in the lobby… I texted him. Kevin, where are you? Go fish. Hmmmm… New to the area, but I’d seen the signs, so off we went. Asked the hostess about Lobster.. nope, at least not that wasn’t already in pieces. Allyson was disappointed. I was just hungry. If you want sushi, you have sit in the back area. this created a bit of confusion and consternation as only one of us wanted sushi. but we were assured that we could get«regular» food there also. The ambiance was pretty good, particularly around the bar area. I had a decent clam chowder. could have used some more chunks. but good. I thought the lobster stuffed flounder with roasted potatoes and steamed veggies sounded good. and it was good, very good. The fish and lobster had a delicious cream sauce, the potatoes were tasty and the veggies cooked perfectly. Along with good company, we had very good service and built in entertainment when Kevin got a little aggressive with wasabi. I would definitely go back. they have specials on food in the bar food during happy hour. if one were so inclined.
