This place used to be good about 5 – 6 years ago… Now it’s disgusting. After placing my order, an hour past by before getting my food(Chicken curry). The taste was off and I was unable to eat it. Two other plates were also ordered at my table and my guests were unsatisfied with the the food as well but they ate it. I left my plate untouched and asked for it to be removed from the bill. Waitress returned and said, «sorry my manager said you have to pay for it but if you want, don’t tip me». I payed it and still tipped her because I felt it wasn’t her fault. As I was leaving, a city inspector had just walked in and the manager was flipping out :) I hope they get fined and shut down. I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to on this one. Please stay away!

First time eating Thai food. Had the curry pinaple shrimp with white rice as the main course and then doughnut dumpling. My taste buds have never felt such sweet and spicy flavor in a long time. Let’s just say that if you had ate all of the rice and curry and you had left over sauce, you would enjoy the finishing act of drinking the sauce.

Went with a group of people last night for dinner. There was nobody else in the restaurant but us. The server catered to us very well. My food was ok. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dish. I went to the bathroom and it smelled like they poured a bottle of bleach on the floor. No ventilation in the small bathroom. I’m getting over a cold and i couldn’t breathe. Everything tasted & smelled like bleach. I had to go outside to eat my meal and get fresh air. I developed a really bad headache and felt dizzy. I needed to go home, strip my clothes off and take a shower. We did ask them to take my meal off and they obliged. Please look into getting a ventilation system for the bathrooms.

My first Thai lunch after been relocated from Los Angeles to Miami. Good vegetarian and non options. Authentic sitting which is always fun and although the music and service were not comparable to the food. The flavors and portions made up for the rest.

I recently ordered delivery from Siam River since my favorite Thai restaurant in the area doesn’t deliver. I hadn’t tried Siam River before, so thought it was worth a try since they delivered. This review is solely based on the delivery and food. Ordering was simple because I could use Eat24 and the estimated wait time was about 60 minutes. My food came in 40 minutes and everything was hot when it arrived. The driver was friendly and courteous, who had zero problem finding my apartment. For this Siam River receives high points in my book, but I felt the food fell flat. I ordered the Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, and Spring Rolls. The Chicken Satay was pretty typically of many Thai restaurants in the area. I liked the Massaman Curry and thought it was good, just the serving size was small. Literally I had no leftovers afterwards of the curry. The white rice that came with the curry tasted fresh and not like it had sat at all(I was a bit concerned since other reviews were negative regarding this). The biggest fail was the Pad Thai. The Pad Thai ranked as some of the worst I’ve had in a long time. It was almost flavorless with really dry chicken and slightly fishy tasting shrimp. I actually ended up not even finishing it and throwing it out, which was too bad since the Pad Thai serving was rather large. Really i doubt I will order from Siam River again or even go to the restaurant in person. I liked that the good arrived before the estimated time, but the flavors were a let down and not what I was wanting with my Thai food.

I ordered several items for dinner delivery. Here are the major problems I had with the order: The squid salad was in a regular foam container and the contents and juices literally leaked all over my floor as soon as I picked it up. A salad with dressing should be packaged differently. My apartment now smells. The white sticky rice side that I ordered had a bug in it. Yes, a bug. It was easy to see because the bug is black and the rice is white. It was one of those small bugs you find in dirty old rice. I have a picture. The rice itself smelled awful. The type of smell you get from like a wet rag that has been sitting out for a while. Like a moldy cat/old lady smell if that makes any sense. I reached out to Eat24 and haven’t heard back yet. Really disappointed.

I ordered through eat 24 and after I wait 1 hour for my food I call them and they ask me if they can pick it up or deliver it in 2 hours. Why would I order food for delivery to have someone ask me if I can pick it up or get it in 2 hours. On Top of everything the lady that answers the phone barely spoke English hung up on me and has the worst attitude I Havant tried the food yet and I already have a sour taste in my mouth about this disgusting place. When she came with the food she was very apologetic but still doesn’t excuse the service. I work in the restaurant business and you never keep a client waiting an hour for their food, delivery or not. The food was subpar considering I ordered some of the simplest things on the menu: dragon roll and edamame. The sushi fell apart easily and was hard to eat and they forgot the spicy mayo I asked them to bring on the side. Atleast they brought my bottle of water!

My first Thai restaurant since I moved from California. I had been spoiled back in Cali, here is way different. The Menu needs some upgrade. It’s not my style but I don’t think having the radio has background sound is not a good environment. And the same goes for the TV playing jeopardy. The server was very nice. And the food was ok. I doubt I would go back. Some remodel would not be bad idea.

Menu with pictures is a plus for Thai restaurant. I haven’t been to any Thai restaurant because I’ve never ever known what to order. Nice wood floor makes me feel like having dinner at home.

Honestly, Ive had better thai food. It seemed like something i could do at home. The Thai Pad was too sweet and simple. Spring roll was good but not Awesome. Customer service was great. It was very nice and cozy almost felt like being home a little. Love how they have some tables set up so that you can sit on the floor with comfortable padding. I expected the food to be better but other than that its an ok place to come and eat.

Curious that there are so many thai places all on 163rd street(Thai House II is at Biscayne, Panya is further West, and just South is Oishi Thai). I tried this one out because I had some American Airlines miles that were about to expire, and AA has a dining program where you get points for using a registered card at certain participating restaurants. Anywayyyy… Passable food. Had to wait a bit for my takeout, and while I was passing the time I read a clipping about how NAOE chef Kevin Cory got his start here. So there was a real missed opportunity: Cory’s place, now moved to Brickell, is the hottest and most expensive table in town, and I’ll probably never have the chance to see what all the hype is about due to cost and distance. Wish he’d come back for a «reunion» pop-up. The ambiance of this place is nothing special. It’s comfortable, but dark. The massaman curry I ordered($ 14) was very small(usually get a quart-sized container from a place like Eddie Hills in Hallandale, and this one was only a PINT — half the size for the same price). The peanut chicken was a more standard size(rectangular aluminum container). Chicken in both was not the moistest, but passable. The average score for Siam River Thai at the time of this review was a 3.0, and that’s what I’m giving it: a fair grade for fair thai food. A-Ok, but not great. If you are in the area and want thai, I’d recommend Panya Thai, especially at lunch, where it is a major deal. Or if you need some Aadvantage dining miles… If you order takeout, might be wise to ask the sizes of your items(as noted above, the«peanut chicken» was almost twice the quantity of the same-priced«massaman curry chicken»).

I found the quaint sushi/Thai restaurant, love the wait staff and sushi chefs, the food is great and fun dining experience, with american and Japanese seating.,

This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very quaint and cozy. The intimate setting is perfect for a date night or a place for friends to gather(there are very few distractions at Siam, so you can have great conversations without any interruptions!) Diners also have the option to dine traditional style on the floor. The service was phenomenal! Our server was very polite, friendly, and prompt. She was a delight! Siam has an extensive menu and there is something for everyone. While the Siam River Roll was slightly on the drier side, the curry and teriyaki steak were delicious! I was disappointed with the hot sake selection(only had house sake), but there was a nice choice of beer & wine. Overall, I had a great experience. I recommend this Siam River for anyone who has a hankering for Thai/Japanese food or just to try something new,

Service and food have always been consistently good, except for the one time I was given a very watered down Thai Iced Tea. I have never had their sushi, but I am sure it’s great. I have had about 3 or 4 different entrees and have never had an issue, there is always plenty of vegetables and meat(see my pictures), so I am not sure why some are complaining about barely getting any vegetables. The lunch specials are great, because for about $ 8-$ 9, you get a soup or salad, and the entrée with a side of rice. Their hours are very convenient and they have saved me when other local Thai places were closed *cough*OISHITHAI*cough*.

I have been going to this restaurant for almost 16 years now. The wait staff is always very attentive and friendly. They have two large menus. One of the menus is Japanese and the other one is Thai. I have tried a lot of different things here and I have never been disappointed. Their Pad-Thai is very good and so is their garlic beef. From the Japanese menu, try the cucumber tuna salad, and many of the sushi rolls are always good and very fresh. Give Siam River a try.

The service was good, but the food was just mediocre. It seemed pricey for what it was, as well. We had the pad Thai, green curry, pad see, and two sushi entrees and they were all uninspired.

I’ve been here in the past and loved it. However, this time was a disappointment. The red curry was bland, it had a small amount of vegetables, and the rice was hard. My fellow diners enjoyed the duck and the fried rice. I prefer Panya Thai which is not far down the road.

This Thai place is actually decent. The owner is very nice and Thai herself. I am not sure if this is best Thai restaurant around here because I haven’t been craving Thai food in general. But if someone were to ask me about Thai, I might recommend here.

I wish I could say it was better, but I can’t. A friend and I went to grab a bite for dinner and decide to skip the standard Duffy’s crowd and try the Thai food. Now I have tried pad see eew in many places around the country and the plate I got at this establishment claiming to be serving this was woefully lacking. They used pad thai noodles instead of the wide noodles and just added broccoli. It was, at best, a mediocre effort. Not at all worth what we paid… Sorry, but I really do not recommend this place.
