We loved this place. Best coffee at the beach. And my daughter loved the strawberry lemonade popcicles

Coffee is awesome. Women working register should not be the interface to customers. Rude. Extremely rude.

Probably will end up being the coffee spot. After my mother ordered a Third Street, which was a combo of mocha, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate whipped cream, and maybe just a hint of actual coffee(although she had hers sugar free), I ordered the same thing. Also sugar free, otherwise it goes straight to my hips. And as far as «froo froo» drinks go, it was pretty good. Couldn’t taste much coffee, but even sugar free, the hazelnut flavor was pretty good. There are two of these on opposite sides of their condo in Kill Devil Hills, so I’m sure we’ll be back to one or the other. Although next time I’m just getting a coffee.

Bakery and coffee all in one place — great! But it wasn’t a lot of baked goods on the day I went. Maybe because it was at the end of the day. Well I went for a latte anyways so, I found myself ordering a salted Carmel latte. My latte was pretty good! Full of rich salted Carmel flavor and a nice smooth espresso. Personally, I could had an extra shot of espresso to make it perfect. There were other offerings at this cute little shop like wine, juices, oatmeal, jams etc. There’s also plenty of seatings to hang out with friends and chill on the opposite side of the shop.

Really want to give this a 4.5 stars. Service is a bit slow but this place is great. Great selection of coffees. Prices are good. Fun décor and great display of local arts. Comfortable place to sit and hang out. Highly recommended.

The most«real» coffee stop in the northern beaches. Tired of the corporate big name coffee house? This is the opposite. Real charter. Great coffee. Friendly atmosphere. Even pooch friendly. Take your pretentious self to the Corporate Coffee house.

The Baristas are accommodating to your coffee preferences and know how to properly pull shots. Also, they are constantly seeing to the cleanliness of the café. There is plenty of room to sit and the décor is colorful. Coffee is roasted on premises, which makes a difference in quality. Highly recommended.

Decent coffee, a usual stop of mine in OBX. Wifi is really slow though, go somewhere else if you need to get work done on proper internet bandwidth.

Great coffee, great staff, great atmosphere but they could improve their baked items to match the quality of the rest of their shop.

Neat little coffee shop. Great coffee with a good selection of espresso, coffee, and tea. Loved my iced latté. A nice change from the commercial coffee chains.

Thankfully, the front porch café has a barista who was capable of making a proper macchiato… Using fresh ground coffee beans. The place up the street must’ve had a barista in training, we had a bad experience there. The beans have been pre-ground, and God only knows how long the espresso powder had sat inside the grinder hopper Front porch Café to the rescue. Made a decent flat white to boot, although they had to look up the recipe(which we have now memorized)

I drove 9 miles from the beach house I was staying at to Front Porch Café after reading lots of positive reviews on Unilocal. I think my expectations may have been a bit too high. The shop is cute and has a large chalkboard menu. It also has a nice wine selection and is attached to a pottery painting studio. When I came in it took a bit for me to browse the menu and decide what I wanted, and it would have been nice to have been greeted by the barista or offered some suggestions. I felt rushed and I went with the iced mocha for me, and I ordered a seaside blend black coffee for my dad. It took a little while for my drink to be made, considering there was only one customer waiting ahead of me. They called my drink out and when the gentleman handed it to me, a «thank you» or some type of interaction would have been nice, but nothing except a blank look, even in response to my own«thank you.» I’m not normally a fan of sweet drinks, but this iced mocha tasted like it had no sweetener whatsoever. Just tasted like milk and raw cocoa mixed with coffee. My dad said he enjoyed his seaside blend. I’d like to give them another shot and try something different, but the customer service may have prevented me from doing so.

Coffee is always fresh and GREAT!!! I stop here every morning I’m at the OBX!!! My family and I always get coffee here. We usually stock up on their fresh roasted beans to take home as well!!! If you haven’t ever tried Front Porch Café, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

While on vacation, I was in search of a local coffee shop(vacation is a great time to take in the local flavor). My search led me here; my Mom also recommended this place and she does know best. Front Porch Café is an adorable café in Nags Head. It’s bright and spacious with plenty of seating. The inside has lots of character; brightly painted walls and local artists’ work covers the walls. Front Porch has a big chalkboard menu(I do like how chalkboard art is trendy again) which lists their specialty drinks and coffee that they roast in house. However the chalkboard menu is not up to date so if you want to take a bag of coffee home, I would refer to their wall with the coffee beans that they have in house that day. After looking through the menu, I decided to ordered the West 3rd which is one of their specialty coffee drinks and staff recommendation. It was delicious! I had mine iced and it made my first morning at the beach. I also bought some fresh coffee to take home as gifts. The staff member made good recommendations and talked me through the types of coffee they had. I chose their Quatro Expresso roast, which is one of their blends. It smelled good and hopefully my sister(who I purchased a bag for) will share some with me. Great coffee and cute café. Their drinks are equivalent to Starbucks but their coffee definitely has more character.

I always try to visit local coffee shops instead of Starbucks. I like to support local businesses and usually their coffee is a lot better anyway. After reading some really great reviews about Front Porch Café, we stopped in night for a hot drink. I ordered one of their seasonal specialty coffee drinks, the amount of sugar/syrup was overwhelming… I couldn’t even drink it, it was so sweet. It just wasn’t good. We went in close to closing time and they were already closing up. By the time we had walked around to look at everything for sale, they were turning the lights off on us. Extremely rude. If you want great coffee in OBX, I highly recommend Morning View Coffee!
