Our favorite OBX coffee stop! Great roasts and fun coffee drinks if you are looking for something other than cream & sugar. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed but the service is wonderfully attentive & personal.

This place was too hip! I loved it, and they really made for an awesome eclectic stop through on our beach trip. It is truly one of those places that could only exist/thrive in a place like OBX… As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by a wafting kick in the nose from their in-house coffee bean roaster hard at work. From there you are treated with walls that are covered in local artist with beautiful and unique mediums. The menu is outrageous and has everything from your basic premium styled black coffee brews to crazy fru fru orders like the south swell(coconut, french vanilla, white mocha-vanilla whip)…so good, and worth stopping by if you’re in the nags head/kitty hawk area. Its clearly a local and tourist favorite alike and keeps with the standard OBX laid back, beachy décor, and dog friendly establishment persona. Seating is cozy, eclectic and deceptively plentiful! All-in-all and awesome coffee house for your caffeine fix!

By far my favorite coffee spot when in Nags Head! I discovered them last year and made it a point to revisit again this year. The ladies are super friendly and their selections are awesome! This time I ordered a salted caramel mocha(hot) and my boyfriend got a Nor’easter; we were both very satisfied customers! With only two ladies behind the counter, you don’t get your drinks instantly but who cares it’s vacation waiting 5 minutes didn’t kill me. And there’s the sweetest puppy here if you need additional entertainment. I wish I could pack Morning View and take them with me, but since I can’t I can guarantee that Starbucks can never get my money in this area!

Coffe is good customer service sucks. We ordered one espresso and one espresso machiato. After drinks where ready I was told you took the coffee of someone else. I told that we ordered 2 coffees but they where accusing me that the mistake is mine. They never apologies for the inconvenience and ask me to pay the second coffee again. Looks like they do not care. To many tourists may be.

Best coffee and tea in OBX if you are lucky enough to be staying near it’s great to bike up each morning. We love this place. The folks are super friendly and make us feel like we regulars. My husband LOVES the Tea variety and that he can mix them up. This is must stop at least once if you’re in OBX.

Bottom Line: Great coffee served in a quintessential eclectic shop by friendly employees. Morning View Coffee is a great coffee shop featuring organic and fair trade coffee. They also have several house blends and they roast their own beans. In addition to serving coffee, Morning View also has tea, baked, goods and some other odds and ends. As can be expected, during the summer season mornings here are busy so please be patient. Coffee drinkers will appreciate their roasted beans but for those who are more enthusiastic about dressed up java, there are plenty of «froo-froo» drinks from which to choose. There is a lot of seating inside, two TVs and wi-fi. Morning View is located on Hwy 158(northbound) around the 10.5MP.

Loved the iced Americano. Hated the fact that they charged an extra $.50 for ice. Really? Come on doesn’t adding ice equal less beverage? When did ice become a commodity? Americano 4 stars added charge for ice –1.

Chill spot with a great selection of caffeinated beverages and snacks. Relaxed atmosphere with abundant couch space and treelined back patio with a couple of tables. Ideal spot to meet up with friends or get some online work done. Coastal art for purchase is on display and an assortment of mugs and coffee tumblers to take with ya.

Great coffee for the coffee lover but not a breakfast spot. Based on the Unilocal ratings, we tried this place out because I love coffee. Very unique atmosphere — beachy for sure, laid back. Muffins looked good but was looking for breakfast. Pretty much only option is a bagel with cream cheese(a few different choices). Bagels are frozen, they defrost, and toast. But if eating in, they just hand you the toasted bagel the a side of cream cheese and a knife. 1 medium latte, 1 regular coffee(a few to choose from, self-serve), and 2 bagels with cream cheese was roughly $ 14. So Starbucks prices without the options… If I return to OBX, I might return for coffee only.

Amazing spot for coffee. Visited twice during our week at OBX and absolutely loved the countless options for creative flavored coffees. I opted for Iced both times. Once was just a Iced Mocha and the other was the Salted Caramel Mocha, which I found just a tad too sweet for my personal taste(I don’t use sugar in my regular coffee), but both were delicious. It certainly tasted like a nice rich cup of coffee with the addition of the flavoring. The place can get busy, so expect your order to take a minimum of 10 minutes, but they are very organized. A couple couches or seats if you want to stay and enjoy your coffee. We opted to be on the go both times. Lots of locals there, so you may get a couple glances if you show up looking like a tourist. Besides that, the service was quite friendly. Thank you, Unilocal for helping me discover MVCH&R.

Yum yum iced coffee! With so many different syrups you can add to your coffee, it’s just magical. Coffee had very solid texture and taste. Very comfy seatings and TV to chill. There was cookies and muffins along with other pastries, didn’t try it but looks delicious.

Absolutely the best coffee in the OBX(and maybe even the east coast!). Friendly, cozy environment. Love how the walls are covered in local artists work and available for purchase. Staff is very welcoming and the coffee house Dog, Loreali, is so sweet! Definitely stop by here if you are looking for a good cup of coffee in a relaxing, beachy atmosphere.

We stopped into Morning View Coffee House & Roastery on our way down to Avon a few weeks back. I am not connoisseur of coffee shops, but I found this one to be quite clean, bright and cozy. Serving up fresh coffee, smoothies, bagels and baked goods, there seems to be something for everyone! The beachy, OBX décor is very apparent throughout, but how could you want anything else when you are at the beach! They have a few tables and a few couches for patrons to hang out. My friends had delightful cups of coffee, while I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. They don’t have a huge selection of bagel«flavors» but they cover the basics and have a few different cream cheese flavors as well. The muffins and danish looked quite appetizing, though I did abstain.

Delicious. I stopped in just to get a quick coffee for the road. The woman behind the counter gave me a quick rundown of the menu and was very personable. I ordered one of the froufrou coffees – the flavor was delicious and incredibly robust, quite refreshing considering all the cups of coffee-flavored syrup I’ve had in my time. What an incredible coffee place. If I lived in the area, I’d be a regular.

They make their own coffee blends. The coffee that I got was a White chocolate espresso. It was amazing, so good that I went back and got one for the right him the next day. The Caramell Frapuccino was as good or better than Starbucks! I would go here every time I visit the Outer Banks. I did not try the desserts that they had but they all look home made and really good!

Coffee. local coffee… I love supporting the local Java… its just funky and fresh and different… why support the corporate when you do that on a daily basis. Myself and fellow Unilocalers Kelly C. are always on the search for the new and interesting coffee place and this one was our hidden gem in the OBX… I had read reviews about this place before and figured perhaps we should try a new place for local coffee. What a good morning it was when we stopped into morning view. They have so many flavors of coffee its crazy. It took me awhile to decide do I test them and order a regular Americano? Or just order a flavored latte considering there is over 15 something flavors and combinations that can be mixed? I went simple with a peanut butter latte hehe… peanut butter. Different not something I see all the time and because I’m a fatty and I saw the baked goods I had to get the white chocolate raspberry scone. Now I’m a skeptic about scones… I thought it would be dense and crummy. But lemme tell you reheated it was like fresh and delicious perfect about of sweetness an buttery like qualities you expect in your scone almost biscuit like. The latte wasn’t sweet which was good there was a background of the nuttiness of peanut butter but it wasn’t like they stuck a giant glob and stirred it in. Not that it would’ve been bad if they did lol but it was a very delicate flavor. Which I enjoyed. The place itself has a good amount of seating if you plan to stay… they also have outdoor seating also tiny but if you want to be outside its a decent offering. They also roasted their own beans and you can see their giant bags of coffee that are actually used in their cups of Java. Décor is of local art which is always awesome to look at. Overall after our first visit we had to come back the next day since it was a our last day in the OBX. 1 last cup of Joe to go… This time I decide on the red velvet tea… i’m not sure if I should’ve just. Enjoyed it hot but it was way to hot outside for me to get it warm so I got in on ice. The flavors were interesting the more sips I took the richer the flavor became. Again a very delicate flavor to the palate and again being the fatty that I am I decided on the everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. I’m not sure if. It is a local bagel they sell or if they make them but either way they were fresh and delicious. Kelly C on her return decided on the banana chocolate chip muffin and said that for once it was a muffin that you could actually taste banana. So as you can read… the morning view is definitely a place to support the local Java and just hangout and enjoy other peoples company and a good cup of tea or Java. Support the local brew… they do it best: o)
