Cool place, nice market, great lunch menu, a few picnic tables, which can’t be enough on a busy day? We’d go back if we were in vicinity for lunch, and definitely if we wanted the produce and local items.

Great place Super variety including fresh veggies and home made meals. A don’t miss are the home made soups. The butternut squash and clam chowder are amazing!

Was recommended to go get lunch here before checking out Cisco. Had a hard time finding it using Google Maps, but ultimately found my way there. Got a fresh sandwich and soup to eat outside at the picnic benches. It was a nice way to get lunch instead of going to a restaurant and paying more but still getting something fresh. Seemed like they had a lot of options and fresh food.

This place is the perfect stop before the beach. My mom and I stopped and bought sandwiches and cakes before hitting the beach.

Sorry Bartlett Farm, epic fail today I have enjoyed the market since 1997 when it was operating in a corner of the greenhouse. The farm is famous for wonderful tomatoes, ripe, sweet, delicious. I have always felt like they were expensive, but offered great quality, so reasonably good value. Until today. I stopped in the market to buy lunch sandwiches for the beach. I got the«farm stand roast beef» sandwich for $ 10.99 What I got was 1 slice of roast beef 1 slice of tomato 1 leaf of romaine 2 slices of bread… It’s almost comical how stingy the person was who made this. If they were deliberately trying make the worst possible sandwich, it would look exactly like this. See the picture. Shame on you Bartlett. From now on I’ll truck over to Something Natural for one of their fantastic sandwiches.

Very cool setting in the Nantucket countryside. This is basically a really upscale grocery store with high quality farm fresh products. The only negative here is really the cost. Like most things on Nantucket, it is highly overpriced.

Another staple of Nantucket, especially if you are staying a week and plan on cooking. The produce is just as expensive as Stop and Shop, but the quality is far, far better. They try to grow as much as they can on island, so you can keep your tab down if you plan out your trip and buy in-season fruits/veggies. And the experience has your quintessential Nantucket vibe, no one is cranky while waiting in line, people are always smiling, and you can manuever your carriage by someone else’s without any huffiness. I always leave Bartlett as a happy customer.

I get takeout lunch here about 2 – 3 times per week in the summer. Lobster roll, clam plate, pre made salads, especially the simple tomato salad in the display case by the deli are standouts. They also have a very tasty Porchetta torpedo sandwich. Prices are high but not completely out of line with the rest of the island for most items. I’d suggest avoiding the tossed salad and greek salad in the to go containers around the corner from the deli — at $ 11 for a single serving mostly consisting of lettuce they are an incredibly poor value even by Nantucket standards.

Small version of its farm’s namesake on the wharf. Nice option for high quality locally produced foods and take-aways. Very close to the docks and makes for a good source for your ferry ride dinner.

The place has grown over the years and they have done a very nice job upgrading. They have two giant cows out front that my son loved looking at(Ben & Jerry — very cute). They have a small little playground which was just big enough for my 20 month to play with. Could it be nicer, yes. But it was nice enough The market was very nice, the prices aren’t actually terrible, being from Raleigh, yes there was a premium but it’s not like the gas premium on island and the fruits and veggies are very fresh… Didn’t do anything with the deli or prepared food counter as they looked very expensive and just eh… The pies looked good but way too expensive for my blood. They toy section is just a bit out of the element and I wouldn’t have had that there, takes away from the market feel and more touristy… It’s fun seeing the people pick the flowers and veg daily and be in the store in a few hours.

Overpriced mediocre sandwiches. No sandwich made to order. Green juice went too heavy on the cucumber. Cute market. We biked out here to grab lunch. Would have preferred to grab sandwiches in town.

Good local place similar to the mind frame of a whole foods/natural type store. Has soup/sandwich kitchen for takeout. Select meats and produce.

We were pointed in this direction by a local one night while at the bar. He recommended we grab a sandwich here and then head to Cisco for a beer. We did just that! Love talking to the locals because you get such great insight. The market is small but they have a lot of unique and natural, organic items. After walking around and seeing the wide selection they have, we headed to the deli and ordered their deli special which was a «Thanksgiving Sandwich», turkey with stuffing and cranberry, we also ordered a regular turkey cold cut sammy. My husband had the Thankskgiving one and he STILL says that’s the best sandwich he has ever had. There’s not too much to say about a grocery store, but it’s a great place to go and grab some food for a picnic, beach day or just to chill at the brewery.

A total rip off! Bought two paninis and some chips here. The sandwiches were ok, not good, but not bad. But this place makes Whole Foods look inexpensive. Everything is completely marked up. This is highway robbery! Avoid if you can. If you are starving, get a panini,

Not sure why ‘ocean view’ is in the name… maybe if you go to the very back of the farm you are on the beach but who knows… I don’t like the changes that have happened over the years… I remember when it was just a farm. And then a covered farm(that was great!). But now it’s like a legit grocery store which crazy prices. They do offer great things though, in both the veggies grown there and the pastrys’ made there.

Amazing to see how the business has grown while the prices continue to rise. High-end items, fresh baked goods, and the freshest Island produce. What’s the status of your wind-turbine?!?

Bartlett’s is a must-do, must-see adventure on Nantucket. You can get incredible, local produce here as well as lots of organic and natural products. There’s also an amazing outdoor selection of flowers with a space almost as large as the barn/store itself. Their cheese selection is also worth noting. I’d say they have standard items to a Whole Foods plus local goodies. The prices are what you might expect too, if not just a notch higher.
