Veggie hash browns with eggs was the best way to fill up for a day of shopping and strolling! The staff is so kind and accommodating! Kudos for providing such great service and amazing food!

Good place for breakfast in town. Fast service and big portions. There is generally always a wait in the morning but it’s never too long and worth it.

Always interested in trying new things, and the Portuguese Scramble with a side of black beans and Portuguese toast were great. My wife enjoyed the Cinnamon French toast without syrup — wonderful flavor. The bottomless coffee cup were just that. Get there a little early and you won’t find a line.

I try to be delicate with my reviews, erring on the side of decent unless the food or service is bad. I’m 50⁄50 on this place. The service has been excellent each time I’ve gone so no complaints there. It’s the food that has me on the fence. I’ve sampled their breakfast burrito and their Bene Du Jour. not awful, but when my total comes in over $ 20 for breakfast food it better be amazing. It’s okay food at a high price. I’ve been on this island too long to play that game.

I’ve only been there once in a quick stop over for business. The specials sounded amazing but I opted for a breakfast house specialty, the Fog Island Fishcakes Benedict. A perfect blend of crab and cod in a lightly(probably pan fried) fried cake. I’ve stayed away from crab cakes at most places because all I get is a soggy mess of oil and a very fishy cake. These were light years from that. They were light and delicious. The fish cakes were topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I like my eggs loose and was glad the waitress asked. An overcooked egg would have put me off. Again it was perfect. Hollandaise was delicious too. They offer a side of home fries of black beans with sour cream. I can get home fries anywhere so why be common. I got the black beans. I also got a side buttermilk biscuit. They asked how I’d like it so split and grilled like a biscuit should be. Light, flaky and warm. Perfect. All in all I’ll say that I needed a wonderful meal after 4 hours of driving through the night and an hour ferry ride. That is exactly what I got. Thanks!

Nice little place. Clean, friendly and a decent selection on the menu. I had the grilled chicken tacos with verde salsa. They were good and not overfilling. It was served with a side of rice and black beans. My only complaint is that things were on the lukewarm side… meaning, by the time I was halfway through my meal, my food had gotten cold. And I’m not a slow eater. The same could be said for my cup of onion soup. It was served in a coffee cup(yes, really) and it wasn’t very hot. It was loaded with onions but very little broth. But the soup that it contained was very good, I just wish there was a bit more and on the hotter side. That’s all… next time I hope my food is hotter. I’d like to go back again.

Great place for a cold, winter day. My husband and I went here in the early afternoon to grab lunch. Staff was extra friendly, polite, and helpful with any questions I had about the menu. Waiter recommended the tuna melt so I picked that. The avocado and buttery bread made it extra delicious. Wish I ordered the soup instead of the home fries, which were a little too bland for my taste. Husband ordered the ½ turkey club. That was REALLY good. He said the clam chowder was pretty good too. Good place to go once in a great while!

Service was friendly. Food was pretty good but not great and very overpriced. No mention of sourcing or quality of ingredients so I’d guess they are run of the mill food service provisions. That’s quite a mark up on a twenty cent egg. Breakfast ranged from $ 11-$ 20 so things like a $ 3 up charge for real maple or $ 3 for a cup of coffee don’t sit well. Not a bad option but you could probably do better.

A friendly, down to earth spot for a tasty Nantucket brunch. The Dorango scramble and Bacado(bacon, avocado) omelettes are particularly scrumptious. They also toast or grille their English muffins and biscuits. Very friendly, responsive staff who swing by regularly to refill your coffee and water.

Went to Fog Island Café for breakfast with my husband this morning. I had the huevos rancheros, which I love getting while on vacation. My husband got the veggie home fries. My huevos were good, but not great. The salsa seemed a little too sweet for my liking, and the cheese tasted like pizza cheese. It was good, but I’d try something else if we went back. The orange juice is good.

Great place for an affordable island breakfast. Be ready for a wait if you’re there on a weekend. Eggs Benedict was great, and the berry pancakes looked amazing! Quick, friendly service.

If you are looking for a great place for breakfast/brunch that will give you that«island feel», as well as a superb meal, this is the place. Both my traveling companion and I were very happy with our dining experience! The restaurant itself is very quaint. It’s clean, and cutely appointed. It’s pretty tight seating, but that’s the nature of the beast. It you’re looking for an intimate, romantic spot or a destination to discuss international espionage, this may not be the spot for you, though… The service was prompt, courteous, and professional despite a very busy Sunday morning. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. I was very impressed with the food here. It was well prepared, used obviously fresh ingredients, and was very tasty. I was impressed with their menu, which shows creativity and thought in their selection. As a side note, the coffee here is excellent! They make it locally on the island, and it’s a great cup of Joe! I was very happy with my meal and experience here, and I take my breakfast seriously. I left here extremely content, however, and I would definitely return!

Best b’fast in Nantucket. Went 2 days in a row and we both ordered the same thing since it was so good. My wife had blueberry pancakes with strawberries on top. I had the triple bene sampler — traditional, spinach & grilled tomato and fishcake. Both dishes were simply delicious.

Portuguese scramble was no joke — if I lived here, I’d get it once a week.

I have no idea why this place averages so low — so if you are reading this and looking for a tasty breakfast spot in Nantucket look no further! For breakfast this place blows Black Eyed Susan’s(the«favorite») out of the water; their coffee is better, menu has more selection, food is better and service is faster. Plus the place is bigger than a shoe-box so you are not sitting on top of your neighboring diners and if you can get a spot at the bar definitely do… best seats in the house. I went with my usual classic egg, potato & bacon breakfast with a steaming cup o’ joe and the husband opted for the special which was some sort of Portuguese scramble. His looked so good that a number of people waiting to be seated asked him what it was and the couple next to us both ordered the same thing. If it’s on special again, get it, or ask if they can make it. The husband was pretty stoked about it. Service at this spot was good for breakfast, sitting at the bar skews it a little if you are comparing to tables because you tend to get better service, but I am one of those diners who gets hives when i see others looking around for their servers and that didn’t happen here. If you are looking for breakfast on the island this is a must — arrive early though, this place gets busy!

On a spontaneous day trip I found myself back in Nantucket and we came here for brunch. I had the fish cake Benedict which was delightful! I also had their house raspberry lemonade which I loved. And my friends were happy with their selections as well.
