I came here with a group of friends for a tasting. I think they do a good job of being outlandish and different in terms of ambience and look feel. I don’t think this extends to their wines however. I did like one dessert wine but I will say it was pricey– 75 for a half bottle, but it was worth it for a wine I liked :) the tastings were not super expensive, I think $ 25 so for me it’s worth it to check it out for a different wine tasting than your average vineyard.

Had a fantastic private tasting for my boyfriend and I at Darioush. The grounds are opulent and the interior is gorgeous. Chris Cardoso was our incredibly educated and thoughtful wine guide. He’s also a sommelier in-training — and a fantastic teacher. He answered all of my boyfriend’s nerdy questions and still made it relatable for me. The wines were tremendous — specific and rich. The tasting was a bargain considering the quality of wines. The Darius II was totally on par with opus one and other big Napa cabs. Definitely a new favorite stop by in Napa.

Loved it. Very fancy and classy Persian winery. Staff can tell you the story behind the entire winery. Great architecture. They have bar sitting with different type of wine tasting. Some days requires reservation. They serve pistachio with their wine which is very unique. Highly recommend this winery

This is not just a tasting. This is an experience and thats what we love about visiting his winery. The people are so knowledgeable and kind and your not ushered in and out like cattle. You have a wonderful tasting with great people. And now let’s get to the wines. We have been lovers of their wines for years and began enjoying their Sarah’s years ago. Since then we have become much more familiar worth all their wines and have many favorites. But their Cab. Franc(if you can get it) is divine. Of coarse they are known for their wonderful Cab so don’t miss that! we also love their dessert wine that Darioush created for his wife for their anniversary. It’s like liquid gold. So don’t just sandwich this vineyard into a day of drinking. Make an appointment here and go slow and enjoy their beautiful facility and their beautiful wines.

I don’t know what anyone here is talking about. This is some of the worst wine I’ve ever had. It tasted like 5 buck chuck. The pours were also ridiculous. I basically spent $ 40 for 5 sips of Yellow Tail.

The columns out front are unique. During our visit, one half of the grassy areas in front was under construction. That does not affect my rating or review. I just mention it because 1. It was disappointing and 2. I’m sure it will be even more breath taking when they complete the work. The sensibility of the outside ambience doesn’t carry to the inside. It’s a bit like night and day. Still, the inside was nice. Small, but nice. We did not have reservations for a pairing, but sat down and did a tasting. The gentleman who served us was very personable. The wines were okay, but we were not tempted to take any home. The complimentary pistachios were a nice touch.

One of my wino friends and the owner of a local wine shop both mentioned Darioush as a must visit in Napa. It’s definitely more in the style of Disney wineries, but I enjoy exploring the spectrum of wine country. The tall columns and opulent building are a stark contrast to this more rustic part of Silverado Trail. The $ 40 price tag for five wines is pretty steep for me, but at least they waive the fee with the purchase of three bottles. They also include some pistachios to munch on. Darioush is known for their Cabernets and Bordeaux style blends, but recently their viognier scored 92 points in Wine Spectator. It was also the cheapest wine of the tasting. Double score for my cheap ass! I got two bottles plus their Merlot. The cabernets were good, but I didn’t want to spend above $ 100 on one bottle. Our server brought out an older cabernet for us to try so we could taste how the tannins mellow with bottle aging. I loved our young, knowledgeable server Edgar. He did a great job explaining the proper way to taste wine for my newbie friends. He was personable and shared his background as a Napa native raised by a vineyard manager. I would return to talk vino with him again.

The place isn’t quite my style so I’d understand any 5 star reviews it gets because it’s just a preference thing. It has a little bit(a lot maybe?) of a Vegas/LA feel to it where I prefer something ranging from down home to understated elegance. There’s nothing understated about Darioush. From the Caesar’s Palace entrance to the bottles of Voss water while you wait, everything here is opulent. Our pourer was very knowledgeable about the wine and the history of the family which is presented in great detail. It could just be that we were on a roll this particular weekend tasting amazing wine everywhere we went and the wine was really good but it was the only place we went where we didn’t make a purchase. I would highly recommend a reservation for the nicer seating areas.

So I was here with some girlfriends on a Sat a few weeks ago. We made reservations for a tasting at noon. Initial service was pretty good with glasses of white wine to begin. We took some picture outside which is quite a scene. There are a large number of Persian columns and flowing water around. It was a bit over the top but fun ambiance outside. Then we started the actual tasting inside. It was an interesting place to look around inside. We did the $ 40 tastings. The woman who helped us went through 2 tastings and gave us a very high level history. She was not the most knowledgable or professional. It took awhile to get through the 3rd tasting and she abruptly brought in another guy to finish doing the tasting for us. He was even less knowledgable. No real explanation for the change in service… it was bizarre. Given my friends and I have done several wine tastings in the past, this was quite unimpressive. Most of the wines were average and especially for the price. The Viognier and Cabernet was pretty good but quite overpriced compared to other wines I had. Even more shocking, there are no case discounts and not even for club members. Not sure why anyone would join the club or come here more than once. Other than the outside ambiance, I would not recommend this place to anyone I know who enjoys good wines. There are plenty of better places in terms of wine quality and service.

Very beautiful winery with excellent excellent wine choices. We came her for my friends birthday and she already had an appointment. We got seated(8 of us at a 6 person bar table, so 2 standing. We made a reservation) best part of the tasting was the pistachios. Persian pistachios are simply the best. Service was great and we really did enjoy our time there.

This winery is beautiful and the pictures right in front of it are spectacular. We went wine tasting here and wines were really good. The gentleman who was pouring us the wines was very pleasant and knowledgeable about their wines. We will definitely come back. This is a great winery to impress a date.

This is a gorgeous looking property, but their wines are average and overpriced. I didn’t feel any warmth from the staff at all. It was pretty much, «hey» and no extra personal touches. There was 1 person that smiled at us and said«hello» though so I guess not everyone is cold. Darioush Winery is however very pretty for pictures and our group’s expectations were set from previous reviews. We had a great time taking pictures both inside and outside.

The wine here is OK. Nothing special personally, but not bad either. However, it wasn’t the wine that drew us here, but the actual building. I had seen it a few times, but never stopped by. After looking it up online we decided to give it a go yesterday. The building is beautiful beyond words. You’re transcended into a different era and the owner did a good job at presenting his culture in a very elegant manner. You don’t need reservations here as they let us right in and we were treated like royalty the entire time you’re here. We did the flight of wine for like $ 40 bucks and all are very unique. Overall, this is quite a different experience. I’m not sure if I would do the wine tasting again, but it’s really worth doing a pit stop to actually see this place. It’s amazing.

I went to the top winery’s here in Napa, inglenook, opus one, Raymond but none was like Darioush One of the most prestigious and beautiful winery’s in Napa, the entire staff are friendly, the place is very intimate and chic, every corner you go has a culture. The wine collections are amazing. I bought Shiraz and very happy. I really recommend you visiting this place and if you go on Saturday you should remember to make an appointment

PASS! Came here thr other day and their flights are over priced. To top it off the staff is very unwelcoming. I could feel them sizing people up and deciding to offer the higher vs lower tasting menus, or not at all based upon outward appearance alone. As for the place it is beautiful with a modern décor and persian inspired artwork. I only like the outside so I guess it matches the attitude of the sommeliers and other tour guides in this place

Wine… How classy people get wasted! LOL. I’ve never been to any other wineries in Napa Valley other than the Castello di Amarosa, which happens to the most popular one from what I hear. Coming from San Jose, it took us about 2 ½ hours to get to Napa Valley. My friend decided to take me to a different winery place that she hasn’t been to yet and I agreed as I searched on Unilocal and was impressed by the pictures of Darioush Winery. We arrived there shortly after opening and got good parking in front. Driving in through the winery we were already impressed with the beautiful architecture columns out front. Obviously we took advantage of the opportunity to take picture thoughout the grounds. If you want great background pictures, this is the place to be at. We also visited the grape vines and di our own mini touring if the area. We checked in front with the lovely hostess and she stated that the next wine tasting opening would be around 1145pm so we had less than 30 minutes to help ourselves and tour the inside and the outside areas and be back in time for our wine tasting. As we were ready to walk around the grounds, the ladies offered us a glass of wine while we waited. That was sweet of them as it made a picture perfect scenery with a glass in hand as we took more pictures out in front where there’s a mini pond as well. It was on a Saturday and we didn’t make a reservation so I was glad they were able to fit us both in. We finally got to do our wine tasting and there were 5 different wines for us to taste that went from white wines to red wines and listed from the most affordable bottles at $ 18 to the most expensive at $ 95 a bottle. The bottles that were listed in our Signature Flight menu was: 2014 Signature Viognier 2013 Signature Chardonnay 2012 Signature Merlot 2012 Signature Shiraz 2012 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon We were offered pistachios to munch on in between our wine tastes by our server. Although our server wasn’t really informative or personable with us as we drank our wine. I would of thought he’d be a better host in what he was serving. The whole wine experience could of been a little better but my friend and I enjoyed each other’s company so that’s all that mattered. The whole wine experience cost $ 40 each for the 5 wines that we tried. A little pricey but at least we finally tried something new together and we got awesome pictures out of it. The Chardonnay was my personal favorite maybe because I love sweeter white wines as compared to red wines. They were all good in their own way but my preferences would be white wines. But then again after having 3 glasses different taste testing wines, we were already beginning to feel it. Gave us a good buzz as we headed off to our next winery destination. I like that this place wasn’t too crowded and big ups for their beautiful landscaping and architectures.

Gorgeous place but less than memorable wine. There are two tasting options: $ 18 and $ 40. Things we liked — the design. The place is beautiful. A real paradise. — the owner has a place onsite and when he is there the torch is lit to let visitors now. — the service. Our host Edgar was very nice and knew Midwest retailers which carried some of their products without batting an eye. — you are given pistachios which are lightly salted and tossed in lemon zest with your tasting. — you could share a tasting. The less desirable aspects — the pours, including Reds were 1 oz. It is very hard to smell a good red with so little in the glass. — most of the wines were mediocre. — the prices were expensive given the quality — the place was PACKED. It was seriously crowded with people mostly taking pictures. There were selfie sticks everywhere and made it difficult to get a space at the tasting bar.

If you are looking for a beautiful winery with great wine with 75 degree weather, this is it. In front entrance are beautiful roman columns with a raised fire pit in the center of entrance. Grand and beautiful. On the side of the columns was a clean inviting patch of grass. My girlfriends and I came last minute as part of a Batchelorette outing. We had no reservation since this was a last minute detour. When we got there, the manager noticed the sash on my batchelorette and offered to give us two free tastings, one red and one white. Both were very good. Of course as a part of the batchelorette’ to do list was to involve the rest of the guests in the winery. One of the customer service reps there was Trevor. He was such a great sport and serenaded my gf with a song! We ended our visit buying some wine for out next destination. The restrooms looked great and parking was not a problem. If you are in the valley and looking for a beautiful hip winery, this is it! Gan Bei! Until next time… ciao!
