Situated right outside of Oxbow Market is Gott’s Roadhouse. It’s a traditional American diner, but elevated. I tried the California Burger with a half/half of garlic and sweet potato fries. The California Burger consists of grilled onions, egg(cooked over medium), bacon, swiss cheese, arugula, meat patty, and smothered with a special sauce in a egg bun. All in all, it’s a dang good burger. Meaty, flavorful, tender, and the sauce added a hint of sweetness in every bite. Bitterness came through from the fresh arugula. My only gripe were the grilled onions. After a couple of minutes, the onions started to make the bun soggy. No good. I ate it faster, as a result. The fries were decent, but nothing special. In terms of service, you walk up to a register and place your order. You’ll get a buzzer and pickup your food when ready. Came during the lunch rush hour, but our food was ready in about 10 minutes. They have a limited selection of beer on tap, and I tried the Lagunitas IPA. They also have a healthy selection of wine — go figure, this location is in Napa. I recommend visiting Gott’s on your next Napa visit or to any of the Bay Area locations.

Always enjoy stopping by here while exploring Oxbow Public Market — I like that they have more seating that their St. Helena location and parking isn’t as difficult with the Oxbow parking lot and street parking all around. During the lunch hours this place gets really crowded — I’ve seen lines out the door. It’s a popular spot, but it lives to the hype. I come here for dinner — after a day of wine, cheese, and fine dining during lunch hours… I like to have a nice burger to wrap it up. Dinner rush isn’t too bad since most tourists seem to do their fine dining at this time(I’m cheap and do it for lunch). So what’s good here? Well, I personally enjoy the ahi tuna burger — it’s not everyday I come across a well constructed ahi tuna burger that lives up to my expectations. Seriously, that slab of ahi tuna is generous. I’ve also had their sourdough burgers — the burger itself is good, but the sourdough really gives it a Bay Area flavor and is a nice departure from your average bun. They also have monthly specials — on my most recent visit it was a kimchi burger. I NEVERKNEWKIMCHICOULDBESOGOODIN A BURGER… especially with cracked egg and to my surprise, cheddar cheese?! If you’re Asian and like kimchi, then you will like this burger. Also they use brioche buns in most of their burgers, so the bread won’t make you feel heavy when eating it. I like their milkshakes since they’re thick and flavorful — they also had another special which was a rasberry frozen lemonade. Perfectly refreshing in the 90 degree weather. While their fries and onion rings are good, I’d recommend getting the chili cheese fries since the chili is actually quite good. ALSO! Be sure to ask for their ranch dipping sauce… I think they make it in house, because it’s really good and tastes different from other ranch sauces! Overall, solid place for food. Sure, the prices are expensive when you compare to In-N-Out burger, but I like eating here than some $$$ restaurant for dinner and the food is good quality. When you visit, be sure to check out what their specials are!

I got the Texas Avocado Burger and garlic fries. The food was excellent. The service was quick. We sat outside and the patio is perfect The wine and beer selection is also fantastic.

AWESOME! After a long day in the sun and many many wine tastings later a burger sounded like an amazing option… since driving through Napa we saw over 4 – 5 burger spots, we had it on the brain… where to go? Gott’s Roadside had the best looking outside space, so that sealed the deal. After looking over the menu we actually decided against a burger and got a hot dog(all the free toppings I could have hoped for, thank you grilled onions), chicken tenders and delicious onion rings. Everything was perfect, the panko crumbs on the chicken were genius and the hot dog was complete with a grilled bun! The atmosphere was awesome, everyone seems welcome here and the staff were all extremely friendly. Lastly, the iced tea was one of the best I have had in a long time!!! Hope to be back soon, definitely worth a visit!

OMG the RANCH!!! You must have the ranch to dip your fries in, it’s heavenly and I am so picky about ranch dressing! Ok, now that I got that out of the way… The burgers are good, not anything to rave about but they are good quality burgers. Crispy sweet potato fries and medium cut French fries are on their menu as well. When I visited they also had Mexican street corn as a special and it was very delicious. I didn’t try the shakes but they looked pretty good. I would definitely be back if I am in the area and craving a burger!

Not quite a roadside stop as the name suggests but not a super uptight place either. Take a menu and walk up to the counter to order. We chose the mahi mahi tacos, tuna burger, side of chili fries and two lemonades, our order totaled over $ 40! They give you a pager so you can sit down while they prepare your food and go back to get it when it buzzes. It took about 20 minutes for our order to be ready but we enjoyed the warm weather outside. Each table outside has it’s own heater which you can control. Everything we ordered was excellent! Absolutely worth a stop if you’re in the area! Be prepared for crowds, we went around 1:30−2pm for lunch and there was consistently a line to the counter. Wish they would open an east coast location :)

I am leaving my 5 star but tonight was more of a 4 star dinner. And my bad! The ahi burger is their best ahi option and I did the crispy tacos. Not so good. But if you choose to go the ahi taco direction get them on lettuce or just do the ahi burger on lettuce which is the best! And of coarse their mahi tacos rock! This will be my new favorite spot for anything yummy! Their lunch lines can be 100 deep and I now understand why! Their food is good and super fresh! Loved our quick and early dinner tonight. We had a blue cheese burger(the hubby), an ahi burger with lettuce instead of the bun, onion rings and an order of their off the charts mahi mahi tacos. Let me tell you their onion rings are real onions and cooked to perfection! Crunchy on the outside with a hot almost sautéed onion quality to the center. And the tacos were soooo fresh and delicious! Smothered in fresh cabbage and pico! Oh my I may never eat again I am so full but worth EVERY bite!

My favorite location is the St. Helena one, but this one is also comparable. There’s usually a relatively long line, but the food is well worth the wait. I recommend the following: Blue Cheese Burger– The meat is super juicy and perfectly flavored. Ahi Tuna Burger– I like that it’s slightly seared on the outside. It tastes fresh and they give you a pretty thick cut of tuna. Vanilla Shake– mmm I never leave without getting their vanilla shake. It’s thick and creamy and oh so delicious. You won’t regret getting one. Garlic Fries– Why would you ever get regular fries when you can get garlic fries?! They’re the best thing ever! There’s just the right amount of garlic on it and the fries are also fried to perfection. All my friends said their tacos were also really good. I’ll definitely have to try them next time.

The first time I encountered Gott’s was at the SF Ferry Building(mm, that soft serve), but on this trip was determined to try the original in downtown Napa. I’m a guaranteed sucker for anything blue cheese. Considered the Western Bacon Blue Ring but decided on the Blue Cheese Burger. Love that they use Point Reyes crumble and Niman Ranch Angus beef(½ pound!). My boyfriend got the Wisconsin Sourdough burger, and we shared an order of Sweet Potato Fries. A solid meal, Sunny day, outdoor seating was nice. They don’t have the soft serve Strauss Creamery goodness, but we did save room for dessert at Three Twins nearby. Public parking was easy near the Oxbow Market.

I now understand why this place is famous and why it gets pretty busy. This place is extremely delicious! Food here is made on site and fresh and organic. It’s on a the expensive side, but worth trying at least once. I ordered a California burger because it contained a fried egg. I love fried eggs in my burgers and it came out to be about $ 12 for my burger. I ordered sweet potato fries and it was delicious, especially since it came with like garlic-ranch like sauce and it was about $ 5 bucks. The Madagascar Vanilla milk shake was another $ 5 so in total I spent about $ 24 bucks for 3 food items. Therefore this place is on the expensive side, but worth the try! I would recommend anyone craving for a huge burger or super hungry to eat here, you’ll get what you paid for. I will be coming back here next time I am craving a great vanilla milkshake or a delicious burger when in Napa!

Literally a roadside establishment serving up tasty and casual food. As good as the SF Location with the added bonus of relaxed outdoor picnic style seating //SERVICE //Order at the window and pick up from the counter when your order is called. Self-seating at cute picnic tables in the front on the road or in the back grassy picnic area. Self-service water/utensils/condiments //FOOD // + Ahi burger: Thick slab of fresh tuna that is seared rare and served in a tasty bun + Onion rings: Not diet friendly, but super delish and crunchy

Gotts roadside is the BEST place to eat in Napa. Chicken tenders, garlic fries, ketchup, and hot sauce is all you need! Parking is easy! Location is not hard to find! It’s a busy place with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating has heaters so don’t mind Napa weather :) it’s beautiful here!

Came here upon a recommendation and it wasn’t as «roadside» as I had expected but I guess Napa is nothing but class. Solid burgers and sweet potato fries but they also have some interesting specials on the board(like an oyster po boy!). Counter service, outdoor seating, and always someone stopping by your table to check in.

We have been going to Gott’s for several years, dating back to the Taylor’s Refresher days in their only location on HWY29 in St Helena. And even though we almost always get a burger(Western Bacon Blue Ring Burger), our go to item is their Ahi Poke Tacos. So to our disappointment, they were out of the Poke Tacos today and we were bummed. In full disclosure, it was Valentine’s Day and it was 7:05 pm so I’m sure they had a busy day, but… So just one burger, and an order of sweet potato fries today to share. Again, the place was super busy, so after we ordered at 7:05, we got our order at 7:33, almost 30 min after taking our order. No complaints about the burger, tasty as usual. We had asked for the sweet potato fries to have the chili spice left off, but they did not do that as well. So although nothing was a deal killer, just not the usual experience that we were used to.

Gott’s Roadside serves up gourmet burgers on delicious soft pillow buns. Their garlic fries and sweet potato fries are delicious as well. Ordering is easy. Order at the counter, pick up a buzzer, and retrieve food when the buzzer rings! There are plenty of tables, and some longer tables if you have a big group! I had the Western Bacon Blue Ring burger. The blue cheese is definitely strong with that burger, but delicious! My only complaint is that these burgers can be pretty pricey. A burger and one order of garlic fries costed me $ 17. There are plenty of other burgers I’d like to try and I’d gladly go back, but probably not too often!

Gott’s Roadside wins best burgers in my heart. I ordered the texas avocado burger and the meat patty was cooked just right(a little pink on the inside as promised). Once you bite into this burger, you definitely get a taste of texas. I’ve never been there, but that’s how you know it was really good. It took me there. With every bite. I was visiting texas. Its the perfect place for your drunchies if you’re coming down from a buzz in napa. But also a very family friendly restaurant. The burger was $ 10.99! But they’re gourmet, so if you’re feeling fancy ~ forget about the fast food places you frequent and try Gott’s.

Best burger I’ve had in a while, and I’m picky about my burger. Let’s be real — it better be so juicy and delicious that you just don’t give a rats butt about your diet. We were sad about leaving Napa and decided to pick up burgers for the road to feel less depressed. Once we saw the menu, Unilocal photos and happy patrons eating huge, sloppy burgers, we said forget getting it to-go. We had to have them fresh! We ordered the ahi burger($ 16), double cheeseburger($ 11), and chili cheese fries($ 6). The ahi burger was significantly smaller than the cheeseburger, but it was delicious. It came with a decent amount of thick sliced seared tuna(could have been seared less, as it was almost completely grey), but I really liked the flavor. It came with a slightly sweet sauce and coleslaw, and the ahi was fresh. 4⁄5 The double cheeseburger — oh em gee. So juicy, drippy, thick and cooked perfectly. Thick cuts of Niman ranch patties covered in melted cheese and their special sauce inside a super soft, fresh bun. 4.5÷5 The chili fries were ok — small and not a whole lot of chili, but I liked how the chili had chunks of beef and the fries weren’t soggy. 3.5÷5 I really like this location, as there’s plenty of both patio and indoor seating, all covered so you can enjoy it whether it’s sunny or rainy. Service was friendly and for a roadside burger joint, the staff comes around to ask of everything is alright. Great place for people of all ages and occasions to frequent. I’ll be back!

I love this place! For lunch or for dinner. They seriously have the BEST sweet potato fries I have ever had… seriously. Haha. They also have garlic fries which are also delicious. I ordered the fish and chips(beer battered mahi mahi served with fries, tartar sauce and american slaw). OMG it was perfect. My taste buds have never been happier. The fish was so juicy and fried to perfection. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because the prices are somewhat on the pricier side. I spent just over $ 25 on fries and a hamburger. But, that wont keep me from coming back. It’s just so darn good!

I love this place!!! Gott’s Roadside has incredibly fresh and tasty food and I’ve definitely become a big fan of their burgers. I got the California burger and it was one of the most delicious burgers I have ever had. The California burger comes with a fried egg, bacon, arugula, swiss cheese and balsamic onions all on a delectable toasted egg bun. The burger was pretty small(for $ 12.99 I thought I would get something heftier) but when I took my first bite, an explosion of flavor hit every taste bud on my tongue, literally. The meat had a slightly crispy exterior, was well seasoned and had a great charbroiled taste. The fried egg was perfectly cooked(slightly gooey yolk) and, combined with the bacon, arugula, swiss cheese and balsamic onions, made for a really well-combined burger. I think what I really loved about this burger, and Gott’s burgers in general, is the toasted egg bun and the quality of their beef patties. Burgers are one of my favorite foods but I hate it when the bun is really airy(like a sponge cake) and the meat is bland and dry. Gott’s serves the complete opposite. The egg bun really adds depth and density to each burger which each soft, yet chewy interior. And the Niman Ranch beef oozes with succulent, well-seasoned juiciness that just makes you go «mmmmmmMmMmMMmmm». Oh yeah, and I also got their garlic fries, which is a whole other experience that would make this post even longer(lol). The garlic fries are different because they tossed their fries in a garlic infused butter. But I actually like that better because you still get the delicious garlic flavor without biting into any spicy pieces of raw garlic(which can be overwhelming) and the fries are still crunchy and not too oily with the sauce. I can say so much more about this place but all you need to know is that Gott’s serves high quality burgers and sides. The only thing that’s keeping me from giving it 5-stars is that we paid over $ 40 for 2 burgers, garlic fries, onion rings and 2 sodas. But it was totally worth it to be honest(haha)!
