Dollar Tree

I am a big fan of this dollar store. It is relatively new, very clean, well lit. They have a very nice selection of storage containers, seasonal items, and kids toys (this is where I got most of my stocking stuffers last year!) they also have very good cheese, which sounds strange for a dollar store, but don’t knock it until you try it!

Often one associates dollar stories with a dumpy atmosphere and cheapo stock. This isn’t the case at Naperville’s Dollar Tree. It’s a good place to find a lot of basic stuff that you’d pay a lot more for elsewhere.
Don’t pay out the nose for bubble envelopes at the office store when you can get a two-​pack here for a buck! Need gift wrap? They have a ton (I always stock up on my tissue paper here), not to mention other party supplies (think plastic utensils, napkins etc. in an array of colors). Also for that party you can get helium balloons!
Are you a Pinterest person? You’ll find all sorts of doodads to fill your gift baskets (and the containers themselves) here. Not to mention the glow sticks that seem to pop up in all kinds of crafts…
Are you bored? Pick up some crosswords and stretch your brain. Or snag a hardcover book from the last couple years that you never got around to reading. You can take it on vacation, and for a buck it’s okay to leave it behind at the pool or hotel for another person to read!
Got kids (or especially visiting kids)? Don’t lay out a ton of cash on toys that they’ll break or outgrow quickly. They even had Disney stuff.
Speaking of, there are lots of brand-​name items, including food (I’d check the dates, however).
The store is tidy with nice staff; the only issue is that there are always lots of customers waiting to check out and only ever one or two lanes open.
Still, keep this store in mind for many basics, and you’ll save some cash!
