Worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Seems like Indians trying to serve facsimiles of Thai food, but not doing it well. All dishes were exceedingly greasy. Had a stomach ache after I left, as a result. Should have sent the food back and left.

This place was delicious. I ordered a vegan friendly meal: friend spring rolls, sticky rice with mango, and pad thai(no egg, request for no fish sauce [I don’t know if they have fish sauce]). I did carry out. When I walked in, the place was full – that gave me confidence my first time there! The staff was attentive and friendly. Best of all, when I got home and ate my meal, the flavors were on point – delicious, tangy, sweet, spicy… all the good flavors. I look forward to meal number two.

I’ve been here half a dozen times before and was impressed each time. The food has been outstanding… until today! The Pad Thai served tonight was dreadful. It was so underdone that the noodles had yet to absorb the sauce; it was pooled at the bottom of the dish. It tasted awful. The tofu was always a very generous serving, again… until today. I counted 4 pieces. Every restaurant is entitled to have an off night but never this«off». Maybe it was a fluke and will never happen again; I won’t know because I won’t be back.

I wanted so badly to like this place after reading the wonderful reviews. We ordered a Thai iced tea with boba. The drink was pretty bland and the boba was still a bit hard. We also had the chicken pad Thai, which was pretty good, but our other dish– the green curry was also very bland. I’ve eaten a good amount of Thai food and I know those dishes are typically very very flavorful. I don’t know what happened. It was a very busy night when we walked in hoping for a table. The wait time was too long so we decided to do carry out. Maybe it was just really busy that night and that’s why our food lacked flavor. Not sure, but I’m willing to give this place another shot. I love Thai food.

I was looking for a Thai place to go to when I visited home for Christmas break. OMG!!! Khao Suay hit all of the culinary spots! We ordered duck pad Thai, shrimp pineapple fried rice, chicken tom kha soup, the taro pudding dessert, mango sticky rice dessert, and the shrimp Thai fried rice. It was all amazing, especially the tom kha. My entire family stuffed our faces and was proud of it. There were no leftovers and I will definitely be back every time I visit home. If you like Thai or are curious about it, you NEED to stop by Khao Suay Thai!

First time at this restaurant after reading reviews decided to stop for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were not disappointed. The hot yum soup was very good and the spicy catfish was excellent. Will be going back again

Came in with some coworkers on a recent weekday for lunch. Our server came over and asked if we were ready to order before we even had enough menus for everyone and before we were given water or had our drink order taken. We asked for another menu and a few minutes to decide. Eventually, I ordered the pad see ew lunch special. It came with a spring roll and cucumber salad which were ordinary but good. The pad see ew was pretty meh. It didn’t have enough noodles or enough sauce. It was full of cabbage, which I don’t recall being a key ingredient in the dish at all. But I’m guessing cabbage is cheaper than noodles. I asked for hot sauce when my dish arrived but it never came. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all so I’m not inclined to be forgiving on the service aspect. Probably won’t try this restaurant again.

The sesame chicken was the perfect amount of tangy, spicy and sweet. Pad se yu(or how ever you spell it) was good, but not as bomb as the sesame chicken. Owned by a couple: AWWWWWWE

me and my girlfriend came here on a sunday night. we heard that this place just opened so we wanted to give it a try. the place was just a little hard to find because its kind of tucked in a corner and it was dark. walking into the restaurant, the décor is mediocre and could use a better eye. there were no customers in the restaurant when we came in and we were kindly greeted by our waitress. i forgot our waitress’s name, maybe allison lol i could be very wrong. but she was very helpful and catered to our needs. we ordered the chicken satay, beef salad, basil beef, and the pad kee mao. which was very very good. we left with a satisfied stomach and happy foodies. overall if your loooking for good authentic thai food and want great service, this is the place to be. i could care less for the décor, im there to eat so im not complaing bout the décor :)

By far, one of if not my most favorites Thai restaurant! Its so good to know there is a good place that serves pretty good Thai food close to home! Altho, food were great there is a few small issues with the services. We have been there several times and always ordered thai iced coffee/tea, I always order large but everytime when I am there they give me different sizes! Love the pad kee mo, pretty good crab rangoons, good tofu panang curry, basil shrimp and pad thai!

Wow this was delicious. Ate there for the first time today– well, I ordered pick up. Food was ready on time, hot, and so tasty. Lunch special is a great size and comes with sides too! Will definitely be coming back here! Take out recommended– not the most romantic place to dine in but very clean :)

It’s by far my most favorite Thai restaurant. My boss and I came here to eat lunch one day as we happen to drive by it. It’s a small and quant little restaurant. You can definitely see mom and pops written all over it which is what I am always looking for. The cashier was very prompt and welcoming. Her friendly personality gave warmth to this cute establishment. Her patience was also something worth noting. I ordered the tofu panang curry. The texture of the tofu was just perfect. There was no rubbery feeling to it. The freshness of the ingredients was evident with every bite. The flavors were on point and I couldn’t be any happier. I’m definitely a fan and excited to come here more often. Thanks for the food and great service.

Great Thai option for Naperville! I’ve been once since the ownership change and I like the new restaurant much more than the last. Service was excellent and the food was even better. I had the basil fried rice with ground chicken and lemon grass and ginger tea. My friend had VERY spicy cashew chicken and we shared an order of spring rolls. We were both very pleased with the food and have already planned to go back for our next lunch.

Tried new Thai place tonight. It was excellent, ordered too much, but after the first dish wad so good I wanted to try other dishes. All really very good. I tried the chicken satay, squid tempura, beef soup, and of course the Thai custard. Every dish was really great. I’ll be back even though it isn’t really close to where I live or work. I say this is a real 5 star place.

I’ve ordered pickup twice from this place and both times they never failed to disappoint! First time I got the red curry dish and second time I had the Thai sesame chicken. We also had some appetizers, vegetarian spring rolls and the pot stickers. I also tried mango lassi for the first time. All delicious! The second time we picked up we forgot our mango lassi and had to go back and get it. The hostess who checked us out and gave us our food was very nice about it and threw in a Thai iced tea at no charge to us. She also tried to give us some crab ragoons but given my mom’s seafood allergy we respectfully declined. The tea was amazing though! I’ll definitely be coming back, pickup or sit down!

I really liked mystop here. It’s good to know that there is a place that serves good Thai food close to my home. Although the food was really good, there were a few small problems with the service. We both ordered the Thai Iced Coffee and though both of us ordered the medium, we were served our drinks in wildly differing glasses that seemed to be completely different in size to the naked eye. The Finger Food is something not to be missed and is the perfect delightfully light and well balanced bite to start off a meal with. Slightly acidic and just barely spicy with a refreshing bit of cucumber it is the perfect palate clenser for a great meal. For my Entrée I decided to go with the Pad Kee Mo. Though it was quite a tasty dish I was slightly disappointed by the lack of spicyness. When I see a little chili pepper next to what I select as a dish to eat I expect it to deliver a bit of heat(especially in a Thai place). All things considered it was a great meal.

I checked this place out accidentally yesterday after work. It’d been a long day to say the least so, admittedly, I was actually trying to get to McDonald’s, but I missed the entrance. I turned into the Khao Suay Thai parking lot just to turn around, but the inside caught my eye. It was pretty packed in that tiny place and Thai food sounded a whole world better than whatever McDonald’s would have churned out so I ventured in. I didn’t want to stay so I ordered take out. Look, I’m a Thai noob, so I ordered the fish cakes and the Pad Thai with chicken. I know. Don’t judge me. The(very friendly) server informed me it’d be about 25 minutes so I went to the car & took that time to finally call my mom back about scarves for winter or whatever. 25 minutes later I had a deliciously smelling plastic bag in hand. 10 minutes later I was home. Yo, the Pad Thai was amaze-balls. The sauce, the peanut crumbles, the perfectly cooked noodles, the fresh, crisp veggies… look, it was delish. And the fish cakes? Omg. Super crispy on the outside, almost creamy/tender/idek but an opposing texture that was yummy on the inside. And with just a touch of spice to kick it up. This place is great. Check out the menu online, call in your order(or dine in, it looks super cute), and enjoy some pretty good Thai food. (Any suggestions on what I should order next would be super great!)

When glowing reviews of Khao Suay kept showing up on my news feed, I was intrigued. When I looked it up and saw that it was down the street from my house, I was elated. After a week of reading review after review, my steadfast dieting flew out the window. –I hadn’t attempted Thai since I was served a gelatinous(jarred) mess at a downtown Naper Asian establishment last summer. I wasn’t about to allow a little diet to stand in the way of at least a bite of massaman curry. Not when I ‘d waited so long for a place like this. I looked over the menu online and had a plan in mind for staying on track. However, I’m afraid I wasn’t the best date. I told him I was ordering the Tom Yum soup because it was clear broth. –fewer calories. I loved the soup. It didn’t taste spicy at first sip(just sour), but created a nice steady burn at the back of the throat. My diet was still on track. But then his curry was placed in the middle of our tiny«built for two» table. No matter how much I stuffed myself with my clear broth, the curry just kept teasing me. I caved and ended up eating ½ of my soup and a 1⁄3 of his curry. On a cold night, and with so much time since I’d had it last, it was like heroin for the soul. He also ordered green curry fried rice(my favorite). It had a nice curry subtlety with a peppery aftertaste. Would you think less of me if I admitted to eating it with a serving spoon? I didn’t… but I wanted to. We’ll just pretend it was carb and calorie free though. I have a party to attend in 3 weeks and a leather skirt to wear, so no more Thai for me. Until then, I will longingly look at the menu and narrow down which items I will try next. Only 21 more days.
