Lumber Liquidators

We are updating our floors and was looking for something sturdy at a reasonable price. One of the associates recommended a birch wood as we were checking out we asked about scratching because we have a dog. The associate said that this wood was sturdy and would not leave any marks from a dog’s nail. We bought 2,200 dollars worth of wood that day. We also asked about returning any wood and he mentioned no restocking fee and said it would be no problem. My boyfriend gets home and sees how soft it is and how he can make a scratch by barely pressing his finger nail in it. He ended up going to the west Chicago location where the associate there was much more helpful. He basically had to clean up this location’s mess. He took care of the restocking fee, found a wood that was durable and ended up taking care of the rest of the order we had to still pick up. Don’t bother with this location. Rather than build a reputable business, they are trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible without a decent product.

My wife and I have been going through the LL warranty team after being recommended floor that should have never been installed with the type of subfloor we have. It’s completely not functional for what we wanted. My wife had been working with the LL customer care team, who said they would replace the floor including install and we would only have to pay the difference. Since then, radio silence. Here we are months later unable to use the room the floor is in and we aren’t getting any response from LL. We have been told multiple times that someone will reach out (after a case manager stopped returning emails) but no word and that has been going on for two weeks. Beyond frustrating. They just don’t care about their customers. Avoid this company at all costs.

I’ve visited this store on two occasions because they were having a sale. My first experience was okay. They didn’t have the advertised flooring but the salesperson was friendly and helpful. My second experience wasn’t so great. We were in the store for several minutes and never did get any help from the salesperson. We left and went to Floor and Décor and found flooring we wanted.

I ordered 1000 sqft of unfinished US made oak from these guys. They provided samples and beat everybody elses price. When I ordered they made sure the material was in stock and were pleasant to deal with.
One thing to note is to stop by there and talk the them in person, they are not the best at returning calls… Left my number twice

So far, we have only just ordered our floor. Jaime has been nothing but superb. Even when we were in a few weeks ago checking prices (which he was 100% aware of) he was very helpful andbfull of info.
