Fantastic homemade pasta and great caesar salad too. Good service. One of the top 5 Italian places in Naples.

I’ve lived in Naples most of my life and have seen many restaurants come and go. Osteria Tulia continues to be my favorite place, hands down. The food and service are flawless every time. The BEST homemade pasta! Two favorites — The Tuscan chicken liver on toast with an egg & pancetta and the garganelli pasta with lamb sugo and sheep cheese. Yum! I believe we’ve had almost everything on the menu. Great relaxed and inviting atmosphere. A wonderful place for a romantic dinner or a big family meal.

Amazing. Simply amazing. If you can, grab a seat on the outdoor patio – feels a bit like you’re in Tuscany. Food is fantastic. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny & service is spot on.

We stopped in here for a quick drink, but the two bartenders(a guy and a gal) had us sticking around for a lot longer. Super friendly, and had lots of ideas of other pubs and breweries we would want to hit during our short vacation in Naples. The menu looked fantastic, and thy have a more«hip» gastro pub for the younger crowd next door, that had several interesting local and regional brews. Fantastic people!

We sat outside. I am totally addicted to the bread with eggplant spread. Everything was great including the service. Fresh food, expertly prepared — this is the best Italian restaurant in Naples. Definitely recommend it especially for the the foodies out there Very professional staff and management.

Ambience is great and service was attentive. I write about the menu. I like to eat light and generally order a salad at lunch. The salads at Osteria Tulia are very, very basic. My son had the Kobe Panini and the plate was very creative. I ordered the salad and it was twelve pieces of lettuce and a piece of «Texas toast» on the side. The menu appears to be very thought out and unique. I would figure that the chef could make a creative, unique salad to match the other items.

Unfortunate happening. I was a regular here and enjoyed my anonymity at this restaurant — visited at times for dinner, drinks, coffee and dessert because the food is so damn good with pleasant service(usually dressed in business casual or cocktail attire.) This evening I enjoyed yoga on the beach and wanted to close my day with some of tulia’s coffee and the cool breeze(in yoga attire). As I approached the hostess, without any hesitation I was turned down to be seated in the patio at 8:15pm: «the patio is dinner only.» I walked away with a polite smile but thought to myself: is this restaurant that hungry for money that regulars are turned down just because I’m not filling their wallet by ordering a full meal? Italian cuisine and culture exemplifies love for food, sharing, and family… doesn’t it? I went back to request an explanation and the manager told me, «the hostess has conveyed the right information.» Unbelievable display of money over human connection.

(An additional review from yesterday below this review from two months ago) A memorable Lunch here today for the four of us as we sat outside in the comfortable patio area. The appetizers, risotto, pastas, and salads were phenomenal. All dishes listed below are pictured with menu descriptions. Optional House made parmigiano cheese added to each of course. Although the waiters demeanor wasn’t upbeat and pleasant, which initially made us uncomfortable, I’m glad we mentioned it to him rather nicely and he of course lit up and was more personable. But his attentiveness and service was also excellent. We will be here more often with other guests these next 3 months. You won’t be disappointed. The Brussels Sprouts/House made Ricotta/Risotto/Torchio/Burrata most delicious and memorable. ANTIPASTI: Brussels Sprouts Warm House made Ricotta Fried Calamari PASTA: Risotto(opted for linguine instead) Torchio INSALATE: Caesar Salad Burrata PANINI: Wood grilled Kobe burger w/bacon There again yesterday. We had a lot of the same things from last month or two. The warm house ricotta salad was phenomenal!!! The seafood risotto and again the Torchio pasta dish MEMORABLE! What was especially nice was LIZ, who waited on us. Very professional, personable and a pleasure to have met. What was especially nice was that as I was given the ricotta appetizer salad, it looked like nothing I had two months ago. I showed her the picture I had taken and it was clearly half the size with very little Proscuitto. She said she’d take care of it and came back with exactly as I had before and I’m so glad to have spoken up and for her to do that. Much appreciated Liz! She’s the best! Looking forward to bringing more friends here next week before I head north. This is one of my fave places.

So many restaurants to try in Naples, I recommend making Tulia one of your top picks! Everything from the service, to the ambiance, and most importantly the food, was wonderful. I usually don’t get to hyped up about the bread served enough to mention it but I really enjoyed the sesame seed crust and super soft bread. We started with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes and the caramelized Brussels sprouts with sausage, both were very good. For my entrée I had the sweet potato cavatelli with shredded pork rib; it was a very unique dish and I really enjoyed it. Others at my tables had the tortelloni, the seafood linguine, and a rigatoni special; and all got good reviews. I was very impressed by our server Frank. He was very professional, knowledgable, and patient even when peppered with questions! I loved the décor, especially the exposed beams; next time I’d love to try the patio.

This was a surprise. Come here for lunch yesterday. I wrestled for a long time on what to order but eventually chose the seafood risotto. Boy, I was not disappointed. I sat outside under the awning in a tiny corner that was all to myself. My waitress was nice, attentive and was patient with my inability to select from the menu. There were two great specials for the day and some wonderful options on the menu — so it was not an easy decision. In the end, I selected the risotto because that is what my stomach was telling me to try! The risotto was lovely. It had just the right balance of creaminess with the rice and seafood. The seafood included shrimp, calamari and red snapper. The pieces of fish were trimmed and tailored for the size of the dish. The portion of the risotto was perfect. I ended eating the entire portion and left full but not stuffed. I finished the lunch with a stiff espresso! I would recommend this to anyone and if I were staying longer — would go back and try another dish!

We ate here the first night of vacation and were pleasantly surprised. When every other restaurant was packed, we were able to find a seat at the bar at 8pm. The bartender was friendly without overtaking our night and made some great cocktails! We had dinner at the bar and enjoyed the brussel sprouts, burrata salad and a fish dish. All were cooked perfectly and great portions that left us feeling satisfied. There was a good mix of locals and tourists and we closed the place down with our last glass of wine. It was nice to find a local restaurant that had such great food and could accommodate us at 8pm on a Friday night on our first evening in town!

ABSOLUTELYOURFAVORITERESTAURANTINNAPLES!!! How do we love Osteria Tulia??? Let me count the ways… We love the house-made ricotta with pears and honey. We love the house-made pasta. We love the bread — the best in Naples, and the house-made campenada eggplant spread — the best we’ve had anywhere, ever. We love the desserts, especially the house-made semifreddo. We love the wine list. We love the ambiance. And we love the very friendly, very attentive service — especially Michael from New Jersey. All in all a spectacularly well-executed and well-managed restaurant — our favorite in Naples and among our favorite anywhere. Go. Eat. Drink. And be happy…

First off, not much for vegetarians. Just reading about the pig ears and their«Mary had a little Lamb» dish made me ill. However, they did have a special with home made gluten free noodles which won me over. Definitely fresh produce from local farms, homemade noodles of all kinds, compliments to the chef. Service not crazy about, always happens when the server has both outside and inside tables. She rarely checked on us. They delivered our salad to the wrong table, so she said, so we didn’t get that. They do not have beer on draft so hubby was not happy. Dessert was chocolate torte, still very fudged like, why doesn’t anyone bake a real gfree cake? Lunch was limited in menu and pricey. There is pizza for the kids if you want, casual tables inside with bar seating. The chairs inside are not comfortable, they could use some seating pads. All in all, not great enough to return as long as there are so many other choices down the street to try out.

I thought I had written a review but I guess not. This place is fabulous. Definitely a luxury, at least for my wallet, to dine at but I’ve never been disappointed. The chef puts a lot of thought into his food and seasoning is always on point. I also appreciate the risks he takes with his dishes. The mood is romantic and has a convenient bar next door which is a lot more casual.

Ambiance: Beautiful= 5 stars Service: Fast and friendly= 5 stars Food: *I had the Buccatini Cacio e Pepe. This was a favorite dish of mine while traveling through Rome. It’s hard to beat an Italian dish made in the area it’s originally from. They did good though. I give it 4 stars. *My wife Simona had the Linguini w/speck & radicchio, Parmesan cream & truffle oil. That was great. We both rate that at 5 stars. Perfectly cooked pasta(how it’s cooked in Italy, al dente) and the sauce was great. Wine: I had a glass of the Bolgheri(Super Tuscan) and it was not only reasonably priced, but it was great. My wife had the Nero D’Avola and she was also very happy with that. 5 stars on the wines. After living in Tuscany together for a couple of years we have been spoiled(also, Simona spent the first 30 years of her life in Italy). We are understandably picky about Italian food in America. This place has done a very good job at what they are going for, the Osteria experience. Comfortable, non-pretentious with great food and no pressure to over order and over eat. Thanks!

NICEPLACE My wife & I had a Sunday lunch here and greatly enjoyed everything about the place. We started with the Crispy Fried Pigs’ Ears. They are, indeed, real pigs’ ears and they were very good. For lunch we had The Classico Pizza, which is actually a Marghuerita pizza(tomato, mozzarella, basil &EVOO) and a special Rigatoni with Cauliflower & Anchovy. Both were delicious. Our server, Katelyn, and the maître d’ Todd were both very helpful and accommodating. It is probably around 4 ½ stars here, but I cheerfully bumped it to 5 because I liked the place.
