4+ years ago I was bouncing around barbers. Been going to Nelson ever since. Best part about it is that Nelson isn’t the only great one there. Nelson, Eric and boys will ask you what you’re looking for and make it happen. They allow you to conveniently make appointments so you don’t have to sit and wait. I’ve never left Gate City barbers disappointed. So if you’re looking for a stable barber. Head to Gate City Barbers in Nashua

I would love to give a positive review but having a sign saying walkins welcome then making them wait 45 minutes plus with zero communication while others get served who show up well after you shows that you have extremely poor service.

Hey, so why all the negativity. Seinfeld asks? A Jerry look alike, I say this is a terrific barber shop! I suppose if you want your hair with a flip on top it may not suit you so well as I noticed one customer wrote. Most men that go to Gate City want their hair looking short and clean, really cool, the way the chicks(like my wife) like it. I have been a customer here since last summer and I’ve never been disappointed. If I were I wouldn’t still be going here every 6 weeks or so. This is the ideal place for your spring or summer cut but I think anytime of year you can get your hair groomed exactly the way you want it. They always go over what I want at the very beginning and always are willing to adjust to get it just right. They even trim my brows whenever I ask and shave close around my ears. I have tried a different barber each time I visit because I always do a walk-in(although I’m not a cheapskate, just spontaneous about cutting my hair) and I have to admit that each one is very professional, talented and very cool to chat with. I have talked about everything from the Red Sox and Patriots to boxing, martial arts, town news, and world travel with these guys and they never miss a beat. They always have something new to add to the conversation. So I don’t need a shrink– these guys really keep me relaxed in the chair and not feeling penniless when I get out. They are very reasonably priced and even give seniors a break @ $ 12! Keep up the great work guys!

Came here because the original barbershop next door that we were going to go too, was closed by the time we got there. Came here instead and as soon as you walk in no one pay attention to us, no greeting, can I help you, no someone will be right with you, NOTHING ! The music was way to loud, and I didn’t like it. I came in with my 2 boys 3&1 and my husband. My husband ended up going first after waiting for an hour for someone. He sat down in the first barber on the right, my husband was very pleased with him he took the time to ask what and exactly how my husband wanted his hair cut. I was going to just wait for the same person, but my the barber suggested that I have my 3 year old hair cut done by the guy that in the last chair on the right. HEWASEXTREMELYRUDE, DIDN’T CARETOEVENTRYTOCALMLYHANDLETHESITUATION, when my son start crying. The barber next to him said to him«hey try to be funny, and keep calm, and try to make it fun for him». And this(COLORFULWORD) said«I’m just trying to get this done, just trying to finish». OMG, the haircut came out terrible and he was horrible. I would never recommend him to anyone. I will never return to this place again. I did not tip him at all, and then a haircut was $ 17 dollars… OMG, beware of this place its a rip off and the people are rude.

Totally not a fan. This place gives generic haircuts and doesn’t do that great of a job. They don’t really care about their customers either. I used to go here before switching shops because I got tired of the place.

I went to Gate City barber one time and I will never go back. I had no real wait to get the haircut but honestly I regret waiting at all. I sat down and the guy automatically started cutting my hair without asking me what kind of haircut I wanted and I always put my hair up in a flip. He lined up my hair and for those of you who don’t know what that means it means he cut my bangs right off using a straight blade. When doing this kind of haircut you can’t actually do a flip anymore so he totally ruined my hair. Not only that but that haircut ruined my bangs for months to follow until they grew so my senior class photo had a little line of hair on my forehead that ruinef my photos. Do not go to this barber they are horrid. And on top of all this they were talking the entire time I was getting my haircut bad mouthing other customers so just remember that next time you go.

Don’t go here. Walked in for the first time to get a hair cut and stood in the«waiting area» for quite sometime before I decided to take a seat. I was never greeted, they never looked up to see what I needed or paid any attention to me. Sat for another 15 min while guys were walking in off the street and getting there hair cut before me. I walked out and went somewhere else. Will not be going there again. There is no order and bad customer service.

Decided to bring my little guy(5 years old) for a haircut at a real barber after many bad experiences with places like Snip Its and other spots. He sat like a champ and got one amazing haircut from Nelson. We’ve definitely found a nice new father/son tradition.

This is by far the best place in town to get your hair cut. The owners are nice and the environment is exceptionally well kept. They great all their clients with a friendly welcome and make you feel right at home. You will leave well groomed and very satisfied. If you’re in the surrounding area definitely worth the drive.
