Olde Magnolia House Inn

Inn keeper was very kind. Cable and air conditioning were included. Good price, however, much more eclectic than pictures on website appear.

While I had a wonderful and relaxing time visiting Nashville and staying in the Olde Magnolia House bed and breakfast, I am giving it two out of five stars (I’ll explain why). The innkeeper is very sweet and cooks delicious meals in the mornings for guests, but the bed and breakfast itself is in pretty bad condition. There are a lot of needed repairs throughout the home, wallpaper is peeling off the walls, repeated leaks caused the walls and floors to be stained brown, the carpets are stained, and there was a crazy ladybug infestation in our room when we visited. I didn’t complain when I stayed there, but for the price per night that I paid it was sort of ridiculous given the conditions. The b&b is very close to town and is in a good location for shopping and dining. I wouldn’t stay here again and would probably try a nicer b&b a few doors down. I found out that this place has been on the market for years (there was a for sale sign in the yard when we stayed there over a year ago and it’s still for sale) and it seems as if the owner can no longer take care of upkeep since her husband passed. She is a very nice lady.
