I came in to have some beautiful prints and illustrations mounted and instead encountered a very rude, condescending young woman who must have been having a bad day(we will give her the benefit of the doubt.) «THIS is a frame» she said to me slowly as if I was not able to comprehend what a frame vs. mat was. I decided to take my business elsewhere, horrible customer service and I will never return. Apparently putting prints on mat paper also takes several days. Wow, that is a stretch.

I would like to tell you about my experience at the Big Picture Framing store in Natick. On two separate occasions I had photographs framed there in late September and early October of this year. My first experience at the Natick store in September, I had brought in an old framed photograph that needed a new frame and backing. I provided the mat and glass. It was probably the worst experience as far as from a customer service stand point. I dealt with the manager initially and she was great. Dealing with another woman when I picked up the framed photograph was not so great and I related this experience to the manager who apologized for the way I was treated. Where it really went downhill is when I picked up my completed framed photograph and after getting it home did I notice that my original backing was used even though I had asked for new Archival backing and it was even checked off on the work order. So I returned the framed photograph and didn’t even receive an apology. I was able to pick it up a few days later. I thought maybe this was an isolated incident and decided to give the store a second try. When I went to pick up my second framed photograph I looked it over carefully while in the store and everything looked OK until I took the plastic wrap off at home. There was a large amount of dust visible on the photograph under the glass. I brought it back and without pointing the problem out to the manager she could see the dust. She said she would try to fix it and to return the next day. I returned the next day and there was still noticeable dust on the photograph but the photograph was due in a gallery show the next morning and I couldn’t leave it overnight. Plus how many tries would it have taken to get rid of the dust and if the manager noticed the dust when I brought it back why didn’t she notice it before it was given to me the first time? She was in fact the person that assembled it. I like the store and the prices are sort of reasonable but the workmanship is sloppy and customer service is hit or miss depending on who you are working with.

I bought $ 200 worth of groupons to use at BP Framing and despite some fine print I overlooked they upheld both coupons. The store really could have stuck it to me, but instead they escalated the issue to the managers and redeemed by coupons. The framing itself, was very professionally done. Appreciated the good customer service and ability to respond to my misunderstanding. Highly recommend.

5 stars and ahem, just picture this. i recently purchased a limited edition print and i surmised, a picture as nice as this deserves some 5 star attention. enter, big picture framing(ham). they are right off route 9 by minado and town fair tire, hey you could even make it a day out of it and kill a couple of chores too. the two women who assisted me really gave a great effort. the custom frame really sets off my print. proper settings, all business was professionally handled, excellent customer service and picture this, they take occ’s, aww yea you know me, other competitors coupons. i saved 60% off this, gasp, work of art, that now all i have to do is find a wall worthy of my new catch! youll never guess what i had phramed.

I went to Big Picture Framing after going to Michael’s and not liking the less than helpful employees. My partner and I wanted to get our ketubah framed and went to Big Picture Framing late in the day, about 15 minutes before they closed. We are artistically pretty clueless and needed help with this project. We were greeted by Lydia, and right off the bat, she was extremely helpful and had such creative and beautiful suggestions for our ketubah. She also asked for help from another employee, Andy, who also had great suggestions. Between the two of them, they came up with an AMAZING matte scheme and frame. They also spent 45 minutes with us — even after the store closed. We haven’t picked it up yet but are eager to see how it came out.
