Saw a huge roach at our table and got moved promptly as the workers took care of it. Many apologies were given, and I was okay, but afterwards we still experienced disappointing customer service. Our waiter didn’t come around to our table at all — well, once to take the order, another time to bring food over. But when we wanted refills but no one came around; they didn’t even look at us and my friend had to try so hard to get their attention. Our food and drinks came out really slow even though it was a slow and quiet time. Felt ignored. I don’t usually write negative reviews but it had to be said. :/

Came here last Friday evening. A 2INCH roach, is crawling by my head and then crawls on the seat by my back. I quickly stand up, tell an employee, and he just knocks it off the cushion, and steps on it. He doesn’t apologize to me, doesn’t pick up the squashed roach, and no employee even mentions it. Needless to say, I did tell the manager on duty when paying(a 15% discount only) and her statement is, «Well, they come in from outside.» Utterly disgusted and felt someone should have acknowledged it.

Being my mother in laws favorite Denny’s we come regularly, but sure thing something goes wrong most of the time. From dirty cups to waiting 1hr for the wrong order, we have seen it and experience it all here. Denny food is always good, they just need improvement on their staff.

We was there Sunday, but definitely is my last day, not for the service, by the food, prices is not the problem, although the Grand Slam is only in the week, not weekend. Weekends is expensier, but now the pancakes is to small,

This place to me has the best breakfast. The service is awesome and I feel like I am at home when I come here for breakfast or any meal for that matter. Since it was remodeled the atmosphere is even better.

This is not the best location, service is hit and miss. I like the Denny’s off of the 5 Fwy, the service and food is always consistent at that location. I guess it’s convinient if you are in the area but if you drive 5 minutes East you run in to tons of restaurants at Plaza Bonita.

Denny’s has always been a great place when the urge hits for a late late night meal. This particular Denny’s has obviously gone thru a major remoldeling and other than the outside that looks like Denny’s — the inside has been transformed! Service was great and our waiter made sure that our orders were taken care of in a timely manner so there obviously wasn’t a situation of being understaffed.

Came in at 7:30Am, there was no one at the greeting desk. Then our waitress Brittany greeted us and apologized for the wait because they only had a staff of 2 people, which was very apparent. I had to leave for work by 8:25, and I thought the service was going to be very slow. To my surprise Brittany was able to get our orders very quickly, and dished it out to us in a very fast and fashionable way! Shout out to the two person staff and shout out to Brittany for beings so polite and nice to me and my mom!(Which she sometimes can be quite confusing when ordering.) The meatlover’s skillet was BOMB.

The worst service ever. They sat me and my friend down after realizing my friend and I had been talking for 20 minutes, I flagged a waitress down to let her know. She told her co-workers and after 15 minutes of talking, I was through. Walked out and told them that we were never served. As we walked out my friend over heard them saying that was the second time that happened. Horrible

The service was quick, but the food was not so great, I had grits that were plain and there was no offer for butter or salt for it… Who eats grits made with just water??? I ate two bites out of the pancakes and choked on nutmeg… In buttermilk pancakes? Really? And the eggs tasted funny… Save the cash and go to the pancake house off of plaza… Solo much better. The only good thing, the place was really nicely updated and had a bar… What???

We came here today party of 8 for a Christmas Eve breakfast. Worst customer service ever. Our server was not a happy camper today. Anyway our food was okay but service was super slow and our server was not customer friendly at all no smiles? They were not even too busy this morning. The lady server didn’t ask if do we need refills for coffee, water etc. we have to wait and ask over n over? Really? Maybe this is the reason why we don’t usually eat here. Hope the management train their employees to smile ;) at least.

I said in my review below that this Denny’s seemed dated and dingy, and was in dire need of remodeling. I said I would add a star if they remodeled this place. They did! And I did. The restaurant looks much cleaner and brighter now, with new flooring, upholstery, wall coverings and colors(local-oriented murals), lighting, and a bunch of big widescreens. And of course, prices are up. The burgers now start at $ 9.99, and include a generous amount of fries. Anny’s Fine Burgers start at $ 7.99, and Balboa Bar’s are $ 7.50. Both are served without fries, but are demonstrably better in quality, especially the meat. The burgers at Anny’s are fresh, grassfed Angus, and the burgers at Denny’s are just fed. I chose the Bacon Slamburger($ 9.99) tonight, a tasty semi-breakfast hamburger, stuffed with crisp hashbrowns, white cheese, two slices of bacon, and an egg cooked to order. Mine was sunny side up. It was a bit messy, due to the hashbrowns oozing all over, as well as the egg yolk, but it was pretty good. I’m not a big eater, and ended up boxing half of my burger and fries for later consumption, preferably during a football game on TV. With a cold beer. My wife chose the Bourbon Chicken Skillet($ 9.99), one of several ‘skillet’ dinners offered by Denny’s. It was a good choice, a nice-sized and tender chicken breast with bell pepper and broccoli, smothered in Denny’s decent bourbon BBQ sauce and onions. She took half home, as well. It was a decent-sized portion. The strawberry lemonade served(with refills) is really outstanding, and is my favorite cold beverage at Denny’s. I think I noticed a sign stating that they now serve beer by the bottle, wine, mimosas, and micheladas. What is the world coming to, I ask? Anyway, this location is much easier on the eyes now that corporate threw a bunch of money at it. And burgers now start at ten bucks. Is it still«America’s Diner?» Or, «America’s Diner and Bar»?

Just OK. The service was just meh and so was the food. Best thing we had was the drinks and jalapeño coins which you can’t order by itself so you have to order the whole sampler to get them. Our server only came by once to check on us and we had to ask multiple times for refills. This is the only Denny’s I know that refuses to offer the 2468 menu on the weekends and was disappointed when I realized we’d come here mistakenly for the second time. My first visit was much like my last: lacking. It’s a chain so you can’t expect much more but at least don’t hand out your value menu on the days you don’t offer it. Seems odd that you’d pass them out only to tell customers that they can’t order from it. The interior was decent, although the outside looks pretty run down. I’ll probably still go to Denny’s just not this one.

Haven’t been to this Dennys in awhile and the place is nice! They recently renovated: new booths, lighting, Flat Screen TVs! And beer, let’s not foget they serve beer now. Same food as before, but the atmosphere has changed and it is so much better. Still has a family vibe but also more friendly towards groups of friends to just chill. Gilbert, our server, was on game. Never too far away to ask for anything and checking in at great times. Good job Dennys!

Only two options at 2 in the morning. Dennys or mexican food lol It was 2am when we got here after the gym. We were greeted & served by a kind lady named Sandy. It was pretty amazing to see such an elderly woman working as a waitress at 2am. We tipped her over 20% as a show of respect. Food here is over priced and took forever to come out. Everything was okay, but the pancake was really good at the time. My man only finish half of his sandwich because it was way too salty. My food was okay though. They renovated the whole place, making it more modern and clean.

I’ve been to other Denny’s before, but I think this one is definitely one of the worst, or the worst Denny’s. We were waiting for about ten minutes for two people when there was clearly a lot of open tables, but they just looked at us standing and waiting with no greeting and sat this older couple before us. The food is definitely not worth it here! Everything is so mediocre here, the food. The service. Since the customer service sucks so bad. Never coming back.

We received fast and friendly service. When placing our orders a friend had a few special requests for her order. The server quickly agreed to the adjustments and made a few suggestions. The food is always not so bad and for a fair price. This restaurant was a convenient place to eat at since it is located near the 805. I like Dennys overall. It has good food at a reasonable price. i really enjoyed the Apple Salad that they have on the menu. It was a nice light choice. They offer this in a full and half size. The half size was a good portion and just what I wanted.
