Good Asian Fusion restaurant in Naugatuck in the plaza near McDonald’s. They do not sell alcoholic drinks. You can bring your own bottle. There is a liquor store next door. The lunch prices are good. I had chicken pad Thai and it was good. Very clean but small. Service was good. I would go again.

I have to say, I wasn’t impressed at all with the food of the service. My family and I dined in. I fancy myself a sushi aficionado and was very disappointed. At first glance, the menu itself was impressive. The time from ordering to serving took entirely too long. Once the sushi came out, it was bland. The high point of the meal was that it was byob. All in all, this establishment will never see my money again.

Food is always fresh and delicious, owner is very kind! Doesn’t have any peak hours where fold is better during one part of the day/night which is great, you can always count on getting what you want fresh instead of tasting like it’s been sitting around all day.

Found this place on Unilocal and all the reviews are correct. Food is amazing and we had good service. The place is very small with about 10 tables and a sushi bar that you can sit at. Going on a Wed night there was only 2 other tables so like I said the service was very good. My husband had a few sushi rolls. The presentation and taste was very good but the price was a little high. He also had the wonton soup which was also delicious! The noodles were not soggy, they were rather large and firm something very rare in this area. I had the special which was the Singapore rice noodles a dish I love and they got it spot on! The only(tiny) negative about that dish was there was a little too much heat but I still enjoyed it. Would definitely go back!

This is the absolute best Asian restaurant in Naugatuck and Waterbury. They serve sushi and your normal Chinese food items. The prices are not cheap but neither are they overly expensive. I find the extra cost worth it. The staff is the best. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I’m so happy we have a fine restaurant like this in Naugatuck.

We recently dined in at Wen’s for the first time & had a pretty good experience. Negatives: –We were the only ones in the restaurant over a 45 minute period & we felt a bit uncomfortable with anywhere from 3 – 5 employees standing quietly near us, for lack of things to do. –We had to ask for our water glasses to be filled once & afterward they did better about proactively checking on us. –While the crab rangoon was tasty, there was hardly any crab… mostly just cream. –My Tokyo roll was topped with the thinnest piece of fish I’ve ever had on a sushi roll. Positives: –Clean, comfortable environment. –Friendly staff –Food was prepared & delivered pretty quickly –Sushi tastes fresh and flavorful –Chicken teriyaki was presented simply, but tasted really good. We’ll definitely come back here, although it didn’t beat out our favorite sushi place.

i’ve had wens twice. once in and once out. both times the food was good and fresh! i was scared to try sushi in the valley(*sorry* i’ve never had good sushi there) but it totally turned my perspective around! we’ll be back for more. the pad thai was good but lacking in veggies so ill ask for extra next time. besides that, everything was perfect.

Best Chinese food in the area by far! I frequently get the General Tso with hot oil to spice things up. They really know how to bring the heat up when requested. Also, try their appetizers and Thai Tea which are both excellent!

If you’re in the mood for Asian food, Wen’s is the place for you. The place itself is relatively small. it is BYOB. I have only dined in once. I live pretty close so I take out a lot. I love their mango fried rice with chicken and the sweet potato roll. Everything there is pretty delicious. I highly recommend calling ahead. There was one time I did call about 20 minutes ahead and still had to wait quite some time. The employees were very apologetic about it though and gave me a free Korean Soda so that was nice!

Amazing food and everyone who works there is so friendly. My sister can’t get enough of their sushi and their hibachi rice excellent! They never disappoint. It’s great to eat there too, nice atmosphere.

Every time we order from Wens, we aren’t disappointed! The best part is you can order online and have your meal delivered which is really handy when you’re stuck at work late. Everyone is very pleasant and the food is always delicious.

My wife and I really love this place! The shrimp shumai appetizer is amazing — we always place an order for each of us. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Friendly staff and nice décor.

The best sushi roll I have ever tasted is their Dynamite roll. Coming from Asia, it was a pleasant surprise that I got to eat the best sushi roll here. The thai iced tea is really good too and the owners are really helpful and charming. I am sure i will keep coming back for more for more surprises. I am sure my stomach will be delighted. I brought my friend here who is very picky when it comes to food but she said the grilled salmon she ordered is the best she has ever tasted.

Cute little BYOB sushi stop with quite a lot of personality, I’d like to go there more but my friends always pick other places. For lunch, they didn’t bring us a roll menu and that made it pretty difficult to survey the quality of the chef’s rolls but we managed to get a spider roll anyway, as most places have one of those. I enjoyed the sushi, but I usually go to a place twice before I can give an accurate sushi review and that has been difficult since my friends try their hardest to avoid Naugatuck for a variety of reasons.

I’ve only ever ordered takeout from Wen’s, but their restaurant is nice on the inside with a decent amount of seating. As a vegetarian, I don’t have many options in the Naugatuck area for takeout beyond pizza. Wen’s provides me with a good alternative with their vegetable rolls and yaki soba. My favorite of their vegetable rolls is the asparagus roll, though the sweet potato roll makes a close second. Their vegetable yaki soba was surprisingly far from greasy.(I’m used to all the other Asian takeout places around town.) The vegetables with the noodles were also fresh and delicious. The highlight of the menu, though, is their hibachi fried rice. I dream about it. Best rice I’ve ever had and whenever I want a quick lunch in town(that isn’t on a Tuesday) I pick up some.

Note: takeout review only. I’m not in this area often — so thank you Unilocalers for steering me to this gem! Ordered General Tso’s chicken, Thai Spring Rolls, and Rock Shrimp. Every item was $$$ restaurant quality. The sauce on the chicken and shrimp had great flavor and just the right amount of sauce. Unlike the typical takeout place, the food was light and fresh(well, as light as deep fried did can be!) Prices for entrees were unbelievably low, at least compared to Fairfield County.($ 8.95 here vs $ 13.95 everywhere near me — what a bargain — and I’m telling ya — better quality food!) I ordered online and my order was waiting for me right when I arrived :-)

Sushi, Sashimi, and BYOB? Wen’s is the spot that you need to be. Quaint atmosphere in the heart of Naugy, With waitstaff as friendly as your family doggy. Came for dinner to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Grabbed some beer at the liquor store next door beforehand(which has a crappy brew selection, I might add). We were quickly brought waters an beer glasses when we sat down. We may have ordered the wrong thing, but the food left something to be desired. We got the Love Boat, and for the price we weren’t really full at the end of the meal. The Fire Island roll was delicious, but the rest was just OK. My family member also told me that her chicken and broccoli dish was alright. Next time we’ll probably get all specialty sushi rolls. The interior was cozy, but it’s February and there were still pumpkins and Christmas decorations out. The waitress was great and the owner/manager checked in on us toward the end of the meal. Overall, not a bad place for a date.

I have to say I was a little skeptical of a sushi restaurant located in Naugatuck, CT. But we were starving, we were craving sushi and Wen’s had a very high Unilocal rating. So we gave it a try! Without going into a dissertation about the food, suffice it to say that it was some of the best, freshest sushi we’ve ever eaten. And their miso soup was very clean and had a perfect balance of flavors. We enjoyed the soup so much that we bought a quart to take home with us! Staff was very friendly as well. If I had to come up with some negatives, this is what I would say(hoping the owners read this and improve the place even more): This place gets hopping with take-out orders so the chefs are busy. We chose to dine in and it literally took an hour after ordering to get our main course(which was literally a love boat of sushi). More chefs maybe? The floor is DEADLY slippery when wet. One waitress came around the corner with a plate of food and literally slipped and landed upside down on the wet floor. Thank goodness she was okay(other than a bit embarrassed). Please change the flooring or put in some removable industrial carpet where people walk.
