Do not go here if you are female! They will ALWAYS try and rip you off. I’ve gone here for three years and have always been failed, when my male counterparts have passed. They think we are stupid, and are solely trying to take our money. The young girl in front of me also failed… no surprise there. I’ve taken my car other places and it’ll pass, but here it never does. I refuse to pay anymore money here, and would rather get my car reinspected somewhere else. I changed my headlight one day ago, and somehow between me dropping my car off and picking it up my NEW headlight died. I checked it out myself and adjusted it and suddenly it worked again… big surprise the bulb was new and they clearly screwed with it. I will never go back to this place and DO NOT recommend it. It’s time this place changes and stops taking advantage of women. I will not stand for it and I believe people should know about the discrimination that happens here.

I moved to Massachusetts two years ago and was lucky enough to be living near this station, so I didn’t have to deal with anyone else. Joey and his guys have taken great care of my Infiniti. He and his staff have great knowledge, are friendly, and charge reasonable prices. I don’t take my car anywhere else.

I stopped in after a long work day to get an inspection. The staff was very helpful and guided me through the process of meeting my inspection (new tires and a headlight) which I was expecting for my old, but well-​loved car. I was in and out at right around 2 hours! I spent time at the nearby Starbucks and when I returned, Joey spent time explaining the recommendations for my car (new struts) and whether it would be beneficial for my specific needs and plans for the car. I really appreciated the honest recommendations and the time the manager spent explaining car mechanics to me. If I need more work done on my car, I will definitely come back!

I have come here for an inspection a couple times as it it right near my work. When I came last time I went to their website to see their hours which said they started at 7 am. I got there around 7:30 and was told they didn’t start inspections until 8 (even though they were open and had employees there to do inspection). Also failed me over foggy headlights like other reviewer and tried to way overcharge to fix which I did on my own. I was frustrated about the time difference last time but let it go figuring they would update their website. I just came back for another inspection and happened to look at their website and it still says 7 am and when I got here they don’t start until 8. If you are a business in the present day you have to have accurate information on your website as that is what people rely, and don’t give attitude to a customer when they try to help you out with your conflicting information.

Integrity. Is there anything more important from the people we trust with our cars? Joey and Needham Shell have it in spades. I have taken three of our cars (Toyota, Ford, and Mazda) here for several years to address a variety of issues including fixing four wheel drive issues, routine maintenance, accident damage, timing belt replacement among other issues. We always receive great service, including a few loaner cars and rides home to support our schedule needs, along with accurate time estimates and fair prices. Having car trouble or needing routine maintenance is a lot easier knowing Needham Shell is just down the road. It is hard to over-​state how refreshing it is to do business with such a wonderful family business.

I would not take my car anywhere else. Joey is not only a great mechanic, he is incredibly honest and nice. The shop is run great and they will help fix anything there. I have a 2004 Mini Cooper and they know exactly how to make it run the way it did years ago
If you are looking for a mechanic around the Needham area, there is place better.

I can describe my experience here as frustrating. It is the end of the month and I was looking to get an inspection sticker. Since moving to the area, this Shell station seemed like a convenient place. After failing for a ‘foggy headlight’, their solution was a cleaning for $ 60! Thank you for talking down to me and trying to take advantage of someone. I cleaned my own headlights (thank you Pintrest) and got my inspection sticker taken care of in my old town.

I went here is get my yearly inspection done. The inspection was preformed quickly. I had a dangly wire with a missing bulb that they charged me $ 10 to fix (overpriced, but that’s usually how it goes when getting an inspection).
My really letdown was that they had to removed my Buffalo Sabres license plate frame because it covered part of my registration sticker. OK, fine. (I’ve had the frame for years & never heard this, but whatever.) My issue is that they broke the frame & didn’t even tell me. Sorry, but it’s just rude. Even if you weren’t going to replace it, don’t act like a child and pretend nothing happened.
I’ll be going elsewhere next year.
Also…gas prices here leave much to be desired.
