This is one of my regular destinations for coffee or a quick bite to eat in Needham. Sweet Corner is exactly what I look for in a local café — good coffee, tasty food, friendly service and reasonable prices. It certainly isn’t fancy but that’s not what matters to me. I like their Mediterranean Tuna and the Lemon Chicken Soup is delicious. FYI — they are now accepting credit cards.

Stopped by here on a very cold morning last week for some satisfying turkey chili(apparently made in-house) and hot cider(mulled, better-than-average). Very friendly service from the two women behind the counter, and I would have stayed to try one of the pastries if I didn’t have so many leftover Christmas cookies at home.

I absolutely love Sweet Corner. Everyone is so friendly!!! I have always had great food experiences there. I personally recommend their pancakes, all omelettes(especially the Spanish), the crepes(you can have them make you an omelette inside the crêpe too!), and the great baked goods. The mint chocolate brownie is heaven on earth. The smoothies are wonderful, made completely fresh. Having been diagnosed the Celiac several years ago, Sweet Corner has been amazing in adjusting recipes so that I can still enjoy classic breakfast food and baked goods. their buckwheat crepes are delicious, and my family always goes straight to them to make gluten-free pies/cakes/etc for birthdays and whatnot.

The food(croissant and smoothie) was good and the man and woman behind the counter were very pleasant and efficient. However, cleanliness is a real concern. In the dining area, it looked like the tile floor had never been cleaned(swept maybe, but not cleaned). The furniture is also filthy — maybe the seats and table tops have been wiped down(maybe) but the seat backs, frames and table sides were sticky and covered in black grime. The wooden cabinets and coffee station were also sticky and greasy. From what I could see, the kitchen floor also appears never to have been cleaned. I just hope the kitchen is kept clean…

Stopped here with a friend the other day for breakfast, and had an absolutely DELICIOUS strawberry-banana-nutella crêpe. Totally yummy, and very reasonably priced! Also the woman running the café was extremely nice. I will definitely be back — all sorts of delicious-looking sandwiches and baked goods that I wasn’t hungry enough to try. :)

Great crepes! Had a nice Greek salad as well and their quiches look great. Really nice people that work there too.

Incredibly friendly and excellent local place. The food is fine and the baked goods are outstanding. Try the lemon and ginger Scone. They also bake their own bread which is excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable food and venue. Very kid friendly as well as adult.

I really like Sweet Corner. Every time I come in the staff is friendly. The food is also good. Today I had a Greek cookie and a green smoothie. The smoothies are very good. They may appear to be on the expensive side at $ 5-$ 6 but this is because they are made with ice, frozen fruit, and a little yogurt. And that’s it. I make them at home sometimes and that’s about what they cost to make so they’re actually a pretty good deal. By comparison the same mango smoothie at Starbucks is a bit cheaper but is made with some powder stuff. I have had the crepes in the past which are also good and my son likes their muffins. The only bad part is that it gets hot in there during the summer. As other reviewers have said, the tables in the seating area are close together, and I’ve met some interesting people in there because of that.

Once I came here and their milk steamer wasn’t working so I couldn’t get my chai latte so I ended up not getting anything. Came again today to meet someone for coffee. And I just am not impressed. $ 3 for a small mint chocolate brownie? The prices are very high for everything here and they are cash only which I always hate. The inside is very small, seating for only a few people and it gets hot quickly. My iced mocha was good, but not the best. The staff has always been very friendly though. Maybe I’ll try food here sometime, but it just seems so expensive I’m not sure it would be worth it. I do really hate giving local coffee shops low ratings, but I just honestly would never make a point to come back here.

The woman behind the counter was all sorts of sunshine. Got my sandwiches sent to me at the table too, so service was great. The sandwiches were rather small and flat for $ 7, and were only ok if not a little sad looking with the single small slice of pickle on the side. My jasmine green tea– fabulous. It was high quality loose leaf spooned into a tea bag and not prepackage Lipton. Don’t think I’ll be getting a sandwich again, but coming back for the service and tea.

I miss the old Sweet Rue, but decided to give Sweet Corner a chance. To get my son out of bed this morning, I stopped by for a treat. I purchased a buttermilk scone that was still warm from the oven. I will definately return for another one soon!

This is the new coffee shop that has just opened in Needham Center in the same location that used to be(dearly departed) Sweet Ru’s. The furniture is still the same and there’s still plenty of baked goods and coffee but the rest of the menu has undergone a total renovation. I had an excellent croissant this morning, chewy and buttery, but my coffee was only okay. I’ll add to this review over coming weeks as I try more of the menu.
