Love the food, the service, the atmosphere, the entertainment, and the friendly small American town vibe. Go to Brennen’s and be taken care of like restaurants used to take care of their customers!

The Patrick «steak and onion rings special» changed my life. I used to be a street preacher until this dish came into my life. Now I own 3 liquor stores and have 2 kids. Both have a bushy mustache. One of them is a girl. Try this. Not kidding.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for several years. I have even referred many people from out of the area. Unfortunately i will not be a patron any longer. On April 11^th i attempted to dine at 9 pm. Upon seating ourselves we requested menus which never arrived at our table 20 minutes later. We noticed that the water glasses on the table had lip marks on the rims and our utensils were filthy. After 30 minutes went by we still waited for a server which again never arrived at our table. There were only two other tables occupied and i observed 4 servers and a bar tender just standing around. We left the restaurant and ate elsewhere. Never to return!!!

Smaller place so if you’re going on a weekend with a large group, I’d suggest trying to make reservations. Parking isn’t the greatest. If busy, you’ll probably end up parking down the street.
The cajun filet mignon is delicious! As well as the house salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Every time I go, I can’t bring myself to order anything else. The piano player is an awesome touch. You don’t need to dress up when you go here, but don’t wear a hoodie either.

The piano player made for a great environment and we have always been very satisfied with the food! Happened upon this place by chance and have made it a possible by to come by here every year around our Anniversary.

Hit and miss. Some things were very good some things were not. Food was sent back twice and there was not a manager in sight.
Will not be going back.

We came here for the first time a few nights ago and were very happy. Our steaks were cooked to our liking and very flavorful. I also had a side of shrimp scampi with my filet– SO good. Maybe the best scampi I’ve ever had. Next time I might just get a scampi dish, it was that delicious! I also ordered a glass of the homemade red sangria which I also recommend trying. Most importantly our server (Laura) was great! She was very attentive and provided us with very good recommendations. I also thought the prices were more than fair, I expected them to be higher. We’ll definitely be back!

I went yesterday and I could respectfully say it was great food… I had the 24oz porterhouse… awesome. My Fiancé had the sirloin and shrimp scampi along with stuffed shrimp that was delicious. my only complaint would be that I wish the restaurant was bigger… Our waiter was excellent even before we found out he was the owners son and the restaurant was named after him. great place

We go to Brennens like 6 times a year and was very disappointed today. Prices are up and portions are down. It seems that the quality has slipped also. Time to find a new favorite place.

Amazing food, great service, 5 stars! Very nice and calming atmosphere. Amazing menu, nice live music from the piano man. We had the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and instantly fell in love. The salmon is also to die for! Would absolutely return!

Excellent rib eye! Lobster tail was amazing and the shrimp cocktail brought a tear to my eye

Great wedge salad. Steak was very tasty didn’t even have to use A1 or salt or pepper.
Piano player was such a nice touch. It’s like a neighborhood steak house on the upper east side.

I almost don’t want to give 5 starts because I LOVE it so much. Great food, great atmosphere & most importantly great service. Keep it up guys!

It was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner, but never got seated even though our reservation was for 7:00. They had skipped over us because they forgot we were waiting at the bar and seated two people who had just walked in off the street! The hostess actually blamed the kitchen on why our table was given away!!! We finally decided to leave at 7:45 because we were starving! Such a shame because we heard so many good things about the place. The bartender was awesome but have to say won’t be going back! They didn’t even offer us a drink after we had just spent $ 40 at the bar.

Had reservation, sat on time… water glasses were dirty and asked to replace., ordered a martini, glass came with lipstick on rim again asked to replace… told waitress that it was our first time at Brennen’s and what did she recommend… she quickly said everything is good… would have liked a better explanation then that. With respect she needs to be taught how to work a table (left her a 10% tip I normally leave 20%)ordered clams casino… came to table warm… salad was good… ordered Delmonico steaks good… spinach was, well we just left it.
Noise level was way to load. Then throw in the piano player… would I go back? The over all experience was not enjoyable .so the answer is no

4.5…It’s a throwback from the 1970’s for sure… well before STEAK became what it has become… to wit, a gourmet experience-​in most places. Here, the atmosphere is NOT the Palm, Luger’s or other steakhouses in NYC, BUT for what it is, they do what they do in a MORE than acceptable manner. The steak au poivre with the green peppercorn sauce was delicious. The creamed spinach… dare I say the best I have ever had… the wedge was delicious… Listen, is it on par with any of the steak places I have been to over the past 20 years in major cities? NO. But it is more than passable, the steaks were huge, and I might add, affordable. There is a piano player and at the end of the day my 49^th birthday celebration was great… No complaints here.

Great place… My favorite steak house.
I like this place better than Ruth Chris.
They get very crowded so go early.

Our waitress, Mary, was very professional and helpful.

Never go back. Worst streak house. Ever. They don’t even know how to cook a steak!!! How does a steakhouse not know how to cook a steak! My party of 4 each ordered steaks, all steaks were cooked wrong. All. Of. Them. The medium steak liked like a hockey puck and the the well looked like it was straight off a cow. So we sent back the four steaks.
Then they came back with all the steaks on the incorrect plates and all still wrong. We sent back 2 and Erin our waitress and Joe the manager were nasty with us that they were still wrong. Joe was annoyed he «had to speak to us» though he FINALLY took off the steak that we sent back 3times and never ate.
Joe, you’re so cheap. You don’t care about customer service. I don’t care that my steaks were incorrect, I care that you didn’t care that I’m starving because I didn’t eat because your steakhouse doesn’t know how to cook a steak.

Another long over due review here and happy to say a very good one at that. It’s all about the happy hour specials here like $ 5 hamburgers and $ 4.50 glasses of wine and of course their $ 17.95 three course early bird dinners which by the way include a glass of wine. Wow — what’s not to like in this day and age when we are all trying to save a buck or two. Very nice bar ambience and great service provided by Joe the bartender. So you can go here for a sit down dinner or join the bar crowd for happy hour like us and go home with a few extra bucks in your wallet…
