I’ve been here now 3 times in the past week or so. The daily specials are a steal for the quality of food you get. I love that you can get happy hour at the tables on the patio. This is now our new go to place.

Great yet cozy atmosphere with an outdoor bar and patio! The service is good and everyone is very friendly. The food and drinks are the best part! The menu is unique with a variety of selections. Don’t be afraid to ask the servers opinion about special drinks and meal options. We have never been disappointed at Yvonne’s and look forward to our next visit! Try the scallop cakes and Prosecco Cabernet sorbet cocktail!

Really cool vibe in this place. Servers were delightful and on the ball. Reservation for table was timely. Food was very tasty. They do make substitutions if you desire. Chicken francaise very good. There are gluten free options and GF pasta which makes dining out a lot easier on GF diners. Very happy to have found this spot.

Ate here for the first time tonight. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere. Well priced drinks & really excellent tuna. Neither my husband nor I eat meat but we do eat fish & I had requested the tuna to be rare & indeed it was & so fresh. We shared the tuna nacho appetizer which was excellent. Will definitely be going back especially during their happy hour. Check out the special nights on their website. Service was wonderful & nice live music also. Worth a trip.

The Plus’s. The food was fantastic, I had Beef Wellington and Scott had Oso Bucco. Both were wonderful. Also the artist who was singing and playing the guitar was excellent. 25 minutes for Bread, 15 minutes between drinks and had to ask for another wine 3 times. Not to mention I’m an advocate of Tattoo’s but dont want to see them up and down the arms of my server when I am paying $ 120 for 2 for dinner. COVER her arms. Had a nice talk with the owner who asked me how everything was but… no comp on anything and no discount. The summer crowds though lack of caring should make it survive for the short term. Perhaps the starvation session for winter business’s will correct the issues…

Ok… So tonight(Thursday) was Kettle One night at Yvonne’s. Really enjoyed the cocktails but this is where things started getting good. There was a guy playing keyboard and singing fantastic songs we all know. He really engaged the crowd. I ordered from the restaurant week dinner menu which had an awesome pork Oso bucco with Parmesan risotto as the star — it was delicious! Home made apple pie ala-mode topped it off incredibly. My honey ordered off the menu and was graciously accommodated. Michele, Jordan, Raymond(oooh-rahhh), Rich, and everyone working there make you feel very much at home. Very comfortable bar scene and restaurant. Chef Oleg is masterful. You HAVE to taste his food! I wanted to post a picture of the Oso-bucco but there were only bare bones left, it was incredible. Can’t wait until the outside deck is in full swing very soon! Keep the momentum Yvonne!

Yesterday after attending the Funeral of my husband’s uncle a small group of us wanted to have a Re Past Luncheon in his uncle’s memory. We were a group of 8 which included a wheelchair person and an infant. – Since none of us were from the area anymore we were not too sure of a good spot that would accommodate all of us. Unfortunately, the first place we stopped at(wish I could remember name of place) does not accommodate wheelchairs as their tables are not right height. You are kidding me!!! What an insult. Since I do not have Unilocal set up on my phone yet I was not certain of where to go. Fortunately my husband’s cousin did have Unilocal and found Yvonne’s which was about a 10 min drive from where we were. Actually, it was a happy faux pax on behalf of previous spot. I am sure we had a MUCH better dining experience at Yvonne’s !! For starters Yvonne’s has a nice curb appeal. I could see that before we even got out of the car. It is handicap accessible and staff are most welcoming. I had the Shore burger which was DEE lish;) My husband had the Chicken Wrap which he enjoyed as well. Others had burgers, and breakfast items. We were all very satisfied with our meals. I would be remiss if I did not mention the lovely setting(inside). Yvonne’s has a very cool vibe. I loved the Lobby area with piano and comfy furniture. Looks like it could be a hot spot in the evenings and in the Summer I am certain the line will be out the door. – Service was friendly and importantly INCLUSIVE. My husband and I will return to Yvonne’s again in the warmer weather. Highly recommend.

After hearing good(and not so good) things about their dinners, we finally gave it a try a few weeks ago. We had reservations and arrived early but were not seated for about 20 minutes even though they had many empty tables. We found a seat at the bar, however. while the bar was not crowded we had to wait too long for my wife to order, and get her wine. Dinner was excellent and Jordan. our waitress, was excellent. We started with and order of scallop cakes which were very good and came out quickly — and piping hot. Carol chose the Gnocchi for dinner and they were tasty, melting in your mouth. Ny choice was the Seafood Fra Diablo, which I asked to be prepared spicy and they did an excellent job. Both entrees were large and we took home leftovers. While we dined both dining rooms filled up and were packed when we finished our dinners. One area whee they need to improve is with their beer selection. Bottom line, it needs attention and they have said that they are looking into the situation. We will be back.

I have been to Yvonne’s on numerous occasions for happy hour & it is consistently excellent. Staff is personable & the food is always good. Last night 2 of us decided to go for dinner. Our waitress, Diana, was wonderful. I love this place but do have just a couple of recommendations. Firstly, the guitar player was terrific, playing some great songs from the past. The only negative was it was too loud. His choices were acoustic songs that did not need that volume. It was difficult to talk directly across the table to my husband(or even Diana) even though we were sitting on the other side of the entrance behind him. It did seem later on in the evening to tone down a bit. Secondly, our dinners, although excellent in taste, did not come out hot, very disappointing. Hubby had the Rack of Lamb, done perfectly, & I had the Linguine Neptune special. We did not send them back because we did not want them overcooked. Thirdly, a more diverse REAL craft selection would make this place my favorite place. I drink their house Pinot Noir when I am there & it is quite good, but I’m a beer girl & would love to see them get rid of maybe 3 of the low end ‘craft’ beers they have on tap now & get some of the good stuff. There’s plenty out there! Reese was nice enough to stop at our table & we did discuss some of this with him. We appreciated his interest. Overall I really like this place & highly recommend it. I think it definitely has the potential to be awesome & will continue to bring people back.

Sorry but can’t agree with the many glowing reviews here so lets start with the happy hour pinot grigio which is a cheap overly sweet version of this varietal wine that forced us to upgrade to another cheap and common Italian pino but at $ 8 dollars a glass poured out of a 1.5ML bottle which probably cost them $ 8 for the bottle — rip off is the expression that comes to mind. Our first appetizer tuna nachos a waste, second was eggplant rollatini overly cheesed too little eggplant, and the third app. clams, mussels and chorizo just plain bad. On the plus side they did a lovely make over on the business décor and created a decent bar and ambience but based on the limited food we had and pedestrian service I cannot really recommend them and I doubt that we will be returning anytime soon.

I’ve been there a few times for dinner & couple times for drinks. Why isn’t it more crowded? Don’t understand it. The drinks are great, food is delicious and warm atmosphere. They serve warm rolls and are very accommodating to dietary needs. The lollipop lamb chops are the best & blackened tuna with pineapple salsa. On weekends they have entertainment. Give it a try you will go back.

I was totally mislead by the reviews on Unilocal.I thought this place was going to be amazing with all the 5 stars. But it was far from it. Its a shame too as the manager/waitress and bartender were really nice and attentive — handled the issue immediately with no hesitation. I am hoping the regular chef was off this night and this was not the normal fare they serve. I ordered the beef wellington and it had a sour inedible taste and smell like — like ti was microwaved right out of the freezer. Sent it back. Husband and friend got the chicken franchise which was served in a bowl over dry pasta — no flavor, no sauce, blah! other friend got the Socumbucca(spelling?) greasy no flavor — really sad and not cheap by any means. I only sent mine back because it was too bad to endure, the others eat their meals anyway — it was a saturday night and by 10 pm we finished went to the bar for an after dinner drink and we were the last ones in the place — they were washing the floor — the smell of cleaning fluid pushed us out the door which I think is what they wanted. in any regards, I hope it was an off night — let me know if you have a better experience. 12/26/2015

I’ve been to Yvonne’s twice now and have had an excellent experience both times. We’ve done the happy hour specials and have not tried the full meals, but if the appys are any indication the meals promise to be just as good. Four of us went this last time and we had the Seafood Plateau. Scallops, jumbo shrimp, crab legs, clams, etc. Wonderful. The crab cakes rocked with a red pepper aioli that was so worth getting. The Tuna Nachos– raw tuna over wontons with a true Japanese seaweed salad. Like no nachos you’ve had before. The lollipop lamb chops just melted in your mouth. We also had the Portugese clams and mussels. Absolutely fresh tasting shellfish in a broth you’ll dunk your bread in and then ask your waitress for more bread. One dessert was ordered for the table which I did not try but the others all praised it. Ambiance was warm and personnel were friendly. Jordan our waitress was very accommodating, friendly and attentive. Definitely are coming back.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we waited about 40 minutes for our entrees. Oh my gosh, Yvonne’s is so wonderful. I was already a long time customer of their business in Ocean Grove, and now expanded into their bigger and more upscale space in Neptune, they are better than ever. The ambiance is so beautiful which you immediately notice when you walk in. We came for JS restaurant week, and every meal was spectacular. My husband got the hot pepper duck wings which he said were the best wings he’s ever had. I had the scallop cakes which were sooo flavorful. That cilantro lime sauce, good lord. For dinner we chose the harvest pasta which had so much flavor-the butternut squash completed the whole dish. The pork osso bucco was also amazing. Dessert was the biggest highlight. The chocolate raspberry mousse with fresh whipped crème was probably one of the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. We will be back for more deliciousness!!!
