Came here for my birthday, and although it was a long wait and parking was cramped, the food was fantastic and the service was prompt. Definitely coming back.

I came here for cinco de mayo. It seemed pretty reasonable to go for that holiday. It was packed inside but we didn’t even wait 5 minutes for our seating. Must have came perfect timing! The parking lot. actually, what parking lot? It holds a few cars. If you have a nice car, I suggest you do not drive it to this restaurant. The food had reasonable prices, although they did have a specific menu for this day. I mean, it was good food — but it wasn’t outstanding. I remember our waiter barley spoke english, that wasn’t too helpful. It’s a cute setting inside though, it’s has a more romantic-feel than anything. It’s definitely good for a date night! It’s nothing I would come back to, I think it was a once and done deal for me.

Great food, service, and drinks. Arrive before you’re hungry, we usually have a bit of a wait. Seasonal margaritas and daily dinner specials are always perfect!

I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the food. And the portion size was very small, especially considering the prices are on the high side.

I had a great time there. Went wtih coworkers and the ambiance was relax and fun. And those margaritas: Da bomb! Will definitely go back there again. The food is good. Not the best I’ve had, that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5… But it’s good, I had mussells… wasn’t great. everything else was good.

I visited Maria’s with 7 friends on New Years Day for our traditional Mexican diner after restaurant came recommended by friends and reading reviews on Unilocal. The appetizers were delicious and my main meal was satisfactory. The disappointment comes when 3 of our parties diners were served and the other 4 were kept waiting. Of course those served waited to eat and their food became cold as the rest waited. When our diners were served they were not hot therefore I was disappointed especially since my diner was steak. No explanation was provided and at no time did wait staff ask if everything was OK. For me as first time visiting this restaurant I am hesitant to return.

My family loves this place. It’s my son’s choice every year for his birthday. I prefer to go early to avoid the crowd. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and can’t say anything disappointed it’s all great! We don’t drink but the cocktails look amazing!

Went to Maria’s for the first time for taco Tuesday and I wasn’t disappointed in the food. The hostess is not friendly and we waited 20 minutes for 2 margaritas but the food and drinks were tasty. I had chicken fajitas and my boyfriend had tacos. We were greeted right away with chips and salsa. I would definitely go back.

Maria’s NEVER disappoints. I’ve visited this establishment 3 or 4 times and I have yet to make a complaint. Their chips and salsa are very good, and every entrée that I’ve had has been on point. Their sangria is to die for. Do yourself a favor and order you a pitcher of either flavor. Both are good. Staff is very attentive, glass of water is constantly refilled. I will always find my way back here.

I am in shock I have not tried this place before. A few derby friends mentioned to me about this place saying it is so good. Thank goodness it was someone birthday and they planned it at this place, because I probably would have not experience this place out. I ordered myself the carne asada entrée. It came with two decent size of thin slice of cow meat that was covered with corn and cheese. ALLTHATCORN N CHEESE! it covered the whole thing that I didn’t realize it came with two slice of meat. IT also came with rice and beans and fried something. That fried thing I didn’t care much for but everything else with hot sauce was amazing. I filled up my rice and beans covered with hot sauce and covered my steak/corn cheese with hot sauce. I think that corn cheese made this meal complete. without it, it probably be just good. but with it, the food was amazingly good. forrealz note: I like their chips and salsa… love the fact that the chip was crispy and not too salty and sorry… I didn’t take any pictures… my eyes got too hungry and forgot to take a picture… yes very unlike me but it happens sometime!

This place was amazing. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I am not sure why they had reviews saying the service was bad. It could not have been better, I had the sangria, lots of it. It was a awesome night. This is the place you go for not just dinner but a good time. I cant wait to go back here with some friends.

I had a sample of their food at an event in 2014, and wanted to enjoy a meal there. The first attempt it was very busy and hubby and I didn’t want to wait. We finally were in the area again on a Sunday and a table was available. The menu is a mix of Mexican and Cuban/Latin dishes, they all sound quite good. I decided to have a Mexican combo, many of them had a bean burrito– that doesn’t sound like a treat, but this is one that can be enjoyed! I almost can’t believe that I’m publicly stating that a bean burrito was good! The chili relleano was the star of my combo and the chicken enchilada was tender and tasty. This plate has no globs of guacamole or sour cream, it’s not needed. The black bean soup had very good flavor. I would absolutely go again. They do take reservations which I would recommend you make especially on the weekend. Wait staff was polite and attentive.

Good food, but outdated ambiance. Chips and salsa on the table seemed from a bag of chips and can of salsa, but the frozen flavored margaritas and food made up for it. I recommend the papas rellenas(stuffed potatoes) for an ap. This 15 table restaurant is casual and a good choice for a family, but not really for a date due to the dingy old décor. Recommend the passion fruit frozen margarita. Staff was friendly, and no wait time is a good choice for the area, but definitely not a destination restaurant.

If you take out the fact that there is usually a wait(which I don’t blame people for wanting to wait) this place is a true gem! It speaks volumes how willing patrons are to wait an hour for a table since the place is on the small side. The food tastes homemade I’ve never had a bad item off the menu from the tamales to the empanadas to my favorite seafood enchiladas. To top off the delicious food and service with a smile the margaritas are a home run. My personal favorite is the mango, it is a very enjoyable drink, not too strong or sweet but made just right. Great mexican restaurant, definitely on my list of favorites.

Last night we decided to check out Maria’s, a charming looking spot for friendly service, and tasty Mexican treats. Upon being seated, the chips and salsa served up instantly, weren’t so great; fine but, not excellent and salsas are relatively easy to make great. With an array of options we took a while to order and what we received was standard entrees found on most Mexican menus. It was a nice night although thinking back I must say that the Arroz con Gandules had an odd cumin flavor or something and some of the rice was quite hard. The Chile Relleno was great and the Tostones were fantastic, with a dash of salt. On to the shining star, the classic Maria’s red Sangria; tropical, fruity, deliciously smooth red wine sangria, poured and packed with freshness and attentiveness is out of this world good, and perfect to wash down a good meal. Willingness to make items not on the menu is what puts Maria’s a little higher in my book, and would certainly go back for their version of Sopapilla(not a menu item) and Sangria… the enchiladas and tacos are basics and the lack of sour cream, without asking, sort-of disappointed me. Not a favorite but, certainly a good spot to check out from time to time.

Just by the name I thought it was Italian all this time till I realized it was Mexican. Which is one of my favorite foods so I had to try. Food was authentic tasting and the specialty cocktails were great too. Prices seem to be average compared to poncho villas or viva Juan or meson olé. Setting is very Spanish style with music to set the mood. Bar is small but you get chips and salsa while to wait. I enjoyed it.

Have been here several times with friends for dinner. Consistent Mexican food, large portions, big drinks. Mysterious paintings don the walls. Some that are spooky looking. On birthdays the staff will come out and sing. The salsa, guacamole and chips are always a crowd pleaser.

Not enough variety of Mexican food and the salsa pretty much sucks. The food they serve is good, though. But they have the«Mexican» in their name.

I reluctantly came here last night night as I did not have great past experiences the 2 times I came here. I just intened on having drinks however we went for some food as we were hungry. I have to say the service and food seemed much improved. The fajitas were excellent as were the black bean soup and the tortilla chicken soup. Unfortunately, the salsa is still pretty gross.
