It’s actually another location of LI Bagel Café(according to the building/location sign), but the sign hanging by the door says it’s nesconset bagel. Whatever, bagels, coffee… that’s what I’m here for. Had a pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese and it was good, but I’ve had better. Also had an iced coffee. Decent spot. I think I’ll keep searching for ‘the one’ though… my go-to bagel spot of course. They did have chopped salad(containers of different lettuce and you pick the toppings) that looked like they were good– maybe another time.

I’ve been here many times and thought they had very nice flats especially. This time, around lunch, the stuff was stale and the veggie cream cheese was sour! Did they change ownership? No more for me…

Yum!!! I don’t under the negative reviews. Of course there’s going to be a line, the bagels are delicious! They have enough help that I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes unlike other places. Definitely my go to spot on the weekends for an egg sandwich. This place is clean, bagels are constantly replenished and there seems to be a nice variety of food choices. Prices seem to be average for the area.

Food is amazing. I love the tuna there! The people there are nice other than one guy Charlie. He’s an older man, and kinda a grumpy dick. Lol

Another catered affair done and another great experience. Worked again with Randy. Couldn’t be nicer. We ordered the egg sandwich, French toast and bagels w/cream cheese. It also came with muffins, coffee, juice, etc. everything we needed for a really nice brunch at home. VERY reasonably priced and way more than enough food. Thanks!!!

On a cold and rainy day(or any day) the only way I could make it better was a bagel sandwich. Richie made me an over the top homerun turkey on sesame bagel sandwich and upsold me on their famous made from scatch chicken soup with real chicken very very Good. .Its where you need to go. #Score

This place has its good and its bad. Definitely a better choice than Strathmore Bagels for sure— Occasionally there is a crazy line in here… but. its a long island bagel store so thats normal especially if they are a decent one. Is the staff beaming with sunshine and conversation? Nah not really, but they are polite enough with each other and the customer and they seem to all work very well together helping and picking up slack for each other. They have to work fast in here, its busy. Fine by me, I tend to judge more on this factor in a dining atmosphere; In here, Im trying to get done and get home so small talk isn’t necessary. They lose a star for their insane prices… really. if I didn’t do well in life Id really skip this place because it is nearly a splurge to eat here(for example, the basic tuna chicken or egg salad ranges from $ 7-$ 15 bux a pound depending on the type) BUT … it is the very TYPES that earn them all of their other stars! You know the saying you get what you pay for? Well, this stuff is expensive for a reason. Man! they have some good stuff. First off, I always judge a bagel place by the bagel and the cream cheeses foremost. If your veggie cream cheese is cheap and crappy I will avoid you. This place has the most delicious cream cheese selection! veggie, bacon herb, roasted garlic and herb, spinach onion, cajun, lox… you name it they have it, its made well and so tasty. Further they have a zillion versions of the basic salads– cajun chicken salad, veggie chicken and tuna ANDEGG salads, balsamic chicken salad, egg white spinach salad… oh man I could keep going… I am especially impressed with the«chicken coleslaw» — high protein, low fat crunchy Veg chicken salad reminiscent of the shredded texture of coleslaw but it is chicken and veggies. Yum. Hard to describe but very unique. Also I am addicted to the veggie tuna. I really love that in all the salads and cream cheeses that have peppers as an ingredient like the veggie cream cheese, they use green orange yellow and red peppers making for a visual delight in everything. I think its a nice touch to go the extra mile with all of those colorful peppers when most places just throw in green and red at most. What a pretty display of color like. confetti! If nothing else the beautiful salads make it worth a stop really, the effort they put into these is supreme, go try it and see — just go and spend a fortune on a quarter pound ask for a fork and see why I think its so worth it. I always end up back here no matter what

Andrew just made the best looking Italian hero. Visit a few times a month and will continue to do so. Love the classic tuna as well.

This place was gross. The line was long but, unlike the other reviewer, I thought it moved really slowly. The woman who helped us was rude beyond belief and acted like it was the worst thing in the world to make us two egg sandwiches and grab us a couple of salads. No manners. She didn’t even say thanks or have a nice day to us after we paid, matter of fact she wasn’t even looking at us, but talking to some other worker over her shoulder. Not to mention she got our order wrong — no ketchup and the«2 fried eggs with bacon and cheese»(which she rudely snapped back with«ok so a bacon egg cheese…») were over medium and not fried. Ok so terrible customer service aside, the place looked pretty gross. The coffee stirrers had dirt all over them. The seating area was especially dirty — the floors were littered and had tons of crumbs everywhere; almost every table top was dirty. I guess that isn’t too uncommon for a busy bagel place around here but honestly, I am surprised it’s so busy… The food was good. That’s the only slightly redeeming part of this place. We saw a fresh batch of egg bagels come out and ordered those for our egg sandwiches– they were delicious. The bacon was cooked nicely and not burnt to a crisp like some other places. There are better bagel places around with employees who are friendly and happy to have you as customers and even though this was our first time here, we won’t be coming back again.

I’ve been to this place three times. The first time and second time I just had a bagel, it was okay at best, biggest problem for me on the second visit was the wait, there were two people in line ahead of me I still had to wait over 10 minutes to be helped even though there were at least five employees behind the counter. Today I went back to try to get lunch and there was a pretty long line, maybe seven people ahead of me, there were at least 10 employees behind the counter, I waited approximately 10 minutes and the line did not move at all. Not sure what the problem is here but I walked out and I won’t come back.

My husband and I used to go to this place almost every weekend. However, the staff is so rude, it’s like I’m bothering them as a customer. I ordered a LEO(leo, egg, and onion) on a roll and the woman rolled her eyes at me. I think her name is Gina, she always has her hair braided. And the line does not move fast, contrary to other reviews. I can stand in line for 20 minutes and then another 20 minutes while I wait for them to prepare my order. The everything bagels don’t really even have anything on them. It’s mostly just sesame and poppy seeds. No garlic or salt.

Bagels are great! Sandwiches are terrific! Only issue is Saturday morning and Sunday morning the line is out the door, but the line moves fast and definitely worth the little wait!

Nesconset Bagel Café for the win! Even though they are always busy and I have stood outside. in my opinion it is worth it. The line typically moves quick so pay attention and you’ll be inside before you know it. Most of the staff is quick and efficient and usually helpful. It’s my go to place if I want a flagel or a bialy. It’s also super convenient for me. I have never really had any of their sandwiches except an egg sammie here and there and they are pretty damn good. Also. their coffee is always hot and typically fresh. The iced coffee is pretty rocking too. The milk/creamer area is typically well stocked and if you need something just ask. They’ll be sure to bring one out from the cooler. I sometimes get the hookup from the owner(I think he’s the owner?) Randy when he’s told me not to worry about my coffee so thanks Randy for the free coffee occasionally! So come here if you want some good flagels, bialys, and/or bagels if you’re in the area.
