First time my wife and I have eaten there. A friend at work recommended it. We had reservations for 6 and arrived early. We were immediately seated. Service was good and wait staff very attentive. We were seated upstairs and it quickly filled up. Rosie of the wait staff immediately made us feel comfortable knowing it was our first time. Had the mussels appetizer and filet mignon special. It was delicious. My wife had the short rib empanada and the short rib dinner. We both split the coconut cream pie fir desert it was great. It was well worth our travels and looking forward to going back

Awesomely great food. Calimari was the best we’ve ever had. Had the scallops which were outstanding. My wife had the filet mignon which was also fantastic. Bread pudding for desert was a 10. Great place!

Had dinner with my wife a few days ago. Not really impressive. We had mussels(me) and a salad(her) for appetizers. The mussels were just OK. Nothing noteworthy about the salad. For the main course the wife had a pasta special — with shrimp, broccoli rape, tomatoes in a olive oil/garlic sauce. Unfortunately fairly tasteless. I had a chicken dish(can’t remember the name) that included sausage, hot peppers, and spinach. It was just OK. Can’t see going again, unfortunately. The area really needs some decent Italian restaurants.

A great find! The food is fresh and tasty. They gave us complementary bruschetta. The bread is delicious. We ordered the mushroom and pea risotto(not my favorite), eggplant parm app(yummy but small plate), cod special with panko over zucchini with garlic mashed potatoes and the Cesar salad(delicious). We got there early with our young kids and they accommodated us no problem. Great, friendly service. Very fresh cannolis and key lime pie for dessert. Go here instead of Longhorn or the other local chains.

Bistro 46 was AMAZING! Fine dining and a very very reasonable price. One of the owners came over to our table and helped us make our selection. The food is made with great finesse! This is a BYOB restaurant which is great on the wallet. I highly recommend this place!

This place was amazing. It was our first time. All of the staff were extremely nice and attentive. Both my girlfriend and I enjoyed everything we ordered. I would strongly recommend the empanada as a starter. The portions were good and the prices are fair. It’s BYOB and will definitely be taking advantage of that next time. Will absolutely be coming back.

The service was attentive & the food was great. Very tasty dishes made with TLC. Chicken Scarparelli was the best I’ve had. Also, my wife had fresh swordfish which she loved. Spread the word! P. S. Remember to BYO

Three of us went to Bistro 46 last night,(Saturday 12⁄05) for my daughter’s Birthday. We had a 7:15 reservation and were seated within a few minutes. The place was crowded both upstairs and down which left me hopeful that we would have a good experience. We were seated upstairs and it took about 10 minutes for someone to bring us bread, almost stale, and open our wine. It took another 10 minutes for the apparently sole waiter for about 40 people to take our appetizer and meal order. i began keeping track of the time and it took exactly an hour for our appetizers to arrive, calamari and onion soup. No offer of additional bread was made and I had to ask for more-still, almost stale. There was certainly no one pouring our wine for us either. The Calamari was good and my daughter said her soup was good but not hot. About 20 minutes later the meals arrived, steaming but after beginning to eat it was obvious the the food was kept under heat lamps because the outer layer was hot but under that, luke warm. I ordered the short ribs and my daughter the chicken fettuchini. Both of us had to salt and pepper our meals which I never do at a restaurant. My wife ordered the Salmon which she said was good but again not hot enough. The apology was made by the waiter for the delay and the excuse given was they were short three people in the kitchen. It seemed to me they were short wait staff as well as this poor waiter was serving that many people alone, I don’t fault him at all and he was tipped accordingly. Finally after two hours our meal was done and we requested a dessert menu which we got in a few minutes. We quickly decided what we wanted and… waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order. We got fed up with the additional wait and told the waiter we just wanted our check which he gave us as well as a chunk of Tiramisu for us to share on the house which was nice. It tasted just ok, nothing special. Finally, we were never checked on or apologized to by the Maitre D’ and I didn’t see him on the way out to voice my displeasure. I can’t see myself returning here Forgot to mention, it was almost uncomfortably cold upstairs where we sat and many people were wearing coats while they dined… or waited to dine I should say

Dining at Bistro 46 was STELLAR, everything is homemade. I couldnt believe the place wasn’t jam packed. The calamari was tasty, and we were given complimentary brushetta which left me wanting more. Bread & butter good & fresh. The lamb shank was perfect, I substituted the mashed potatos for a mushroom pea risotto good choice because it was excellent as well-many restaurant dont make a GOOD risotto that is this creamy. For dessert I had the coconut pie, it was served warm with a side of homemade whipped cream with strawberries, delicious, it almost tastes lime a coconut macaroon cookie but better! The gentleman that served us was very attentive, personable & professional, he might have been one of the owners, im not sure. It’s a BYOB and the prices for the quality of food is a good value, as everything is homemade. We will definitely be telling our friends & family about this great restaurant.

Very pleased with our dinner here tonight. The mussels appetizer featured a nice number of plump mussels, with chunks of smoky chorizo in a delicious broth, Cheese and spinach dumplings special were a little small but tasty, with a nice dipping sauce. Swordfish special was perfectly cooked, with delicious sauteed spinach and pureed potatoes. Rack of lamb special was tender and cooked as we requested, with a nice creamy risotto. Desserts – crème brûlée and bread pudding – were good, though we thought the pudding was more cake-like than pudding, and that whipped cream might be a better accompaniment than gelato and the caramel sauce with it was a bit too sweet. Service was very good until dessert, when the restaurant was almost full and wait staff seemed to get bogged down in reciting specials to each new table. Perhaps printing out the daily specials or using a white– or blackboard to list them would help. Prices were reasonable; the room, though almost full, was not too noisy. We will be back.

First time here and we ordered to go because of the time. To start I’ll say the food was fantastic. When I arrived to pick up i was greeted by a very friendly staff. We ordered Rib eye steak. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Mediterranean Rigatoni. Comes in a short rib ragu with marscapone. very flavorful without being overly rich. Apps– short rib and rissotto empanada was delicious. Got cheese tart did not disappoint. Definitely try them out. Been awhile since this location has offered something of this caliber.

My family and I came here for dinner over the weekend and all had a fantastic meal! My parents had been here the week before and thought it was so good that they couldn’t stop talking about it. Our appetizers, main courses, and desserts were delicious! Everything I tasted was phenomenal! All of the staff were attentive and made sure that everything was meeting our expectations. We are already planning our next meal at Bistro 46!

Yum, just yum! Service, perfect. Food, even better. The worst thing about this restaurant is trying to figure out what to order. This was our second visit and this is fast becoming our favorite local eatery. I had the beef short ribs and the hubby had a pasta special with shrimp. The crème de la crème was the coconut cake but we talked to other people sitting near and the drunken apple cake is apparently to die for as well. Do note that it’s BYOB so bring a bottle of wine worthy of a great meal.
