Gold Creek Inn is Spectacular! Bod and his wife have done every detail, it is very quiet for a great nights sleep. it is surrounded by a beautiful private forest, it is also 2 blocks from the center of town across the beautiful creek. Bob and his wife make an outstanding breakfast(no surprise because his wife is a chief at a restaurant). They help you with everything and they are very generous. My boyfriend and I have stayed their twice now. my favorite room is the Empire Suite, with the private balcony over looking the forest and the creek, it is actually a whole other room. I highly recommend staying at the Gold Creek Inn, you will be very happy you did.

What a special place! The setting, the ambience, the service… all EXCEPTIONAL! The proprietors are also long time residents and very knowledgeable about the area. We had a fabulous weekend here with friends and enjoyed the sites and shopping that NEVADACITY had to offer. Close walking distance to downtown for restaurants, music and theater. Fun getaway at a great value!

I stayed here with my fiancée when we were checking out the area for a wedding. Bob puts a lot of detail into making everything perfect in the house. The rooms are luxurious, the whole house is elegant and the food is great. It’s built on top of a creek, and a waterfall, and there’s a beautiful path down to go enjoy the water babbling by. Pointer: They also own a catering Thai food business. So, the standard is to get a bed… And breakfast. Ask for something Thai, or, if you have a big event, ask to take over the house and have a huge feast there.

This is a extremely comfortable Bed and Breakfast nestled alongside a creek in the heart Nevada City. Each room is decorated with care and warmth. When you walk in you feel like your walking into the front door a friend’s home to have a cup of coffee and stay awhile. The owners are invested in your experience and want you to explore their hometown with as much passion as they have poured into this home. This little city is hiding a lot of goodies you might not see if you just drive past on the 80. There are exceptional restaurants, cafes, hiking trails and more. I’m glad I made the detour through this long lost gold rush town and I’m sure I’ll be back.(And not only because Jep owns a restaurant in Auburn and makes some amazing home cooked meals, that’s just a added bonus!)
