This is one amazing establishment! It’s tucked in a little strip center and you would hardly even notice it if you didn’t know it was there. Despite it being inconspicuous, it is literally the best Italian food restaurant you can find around these parts. The staff is super friendly and they make you feel like family! The two female waitresses(sorry for not knowing their names) are so sweet and remember me and my family very time we eat there. They bring you free fresh bread with butter, and it’s good, but I recommend the garlic bread with cheese! The marinara sauce it comes with is to die for. I’ve never had anything from this restaurant that I don’t absolutely love. Between the pizza, the spaghetti, and the fettuccini Alfredo, I could eat every meal there for weeks. Because of their hard to find location, they don’t have too terribly much business. If you’re thinking of eating here, hurry before they close their doors for good! Please bring them business. I would be devastated if this establishment shut down!

Great food and service. The pizza’s crust was perfect and the Pesto rigatoni was delicious. Everyone should give them a try. It was a great birthday dinner with my husband.

Better then most, but not the best pizza I’ve ever ate. I ordered an all meat pizza for carry out. Unfortunately, but the time I got home it was a little soggy. I popped it in the oven to heat it up and it was good. I’d eat here again, but just a little to far away. I should have confirmed it was Italian sausage as I hate those seeds in the sausage.

Waitstaff moves fast. They are attentive to each table. Very friendly. Running in a half marathon, so decided to carb load. Glad I did! My pasta caprice was delicious! My husband got the beef lasagne, best he’s had. We would definitely return.

Excellent food and attentive wait staff. Took my family there after the MS150 ride. It will be our new«go to» place for after the ride. The location is a little hidden but that should not stop you. This place puts the chain locations to shame and it is not very expensive. I could go on but really, just check the place out. You will not be disappointed!!!

The eggplant parm was so good I had to come back the next night to seeing that was a fluke. Loved it! I also love the Greek salad. Darling, sweet waitresses & a good price. Can’t beat that!

I found this place on Unilocal and oh my goodness was I happy!!! Everything we had was SO good!!! I have to say, it’s hard to find reasonably priced, good Italian, but this place hits the mark. We got the Calamari to start, Rigatoni with Pesto Cream, Chicken Parmigiana, and a Cannoli for dessert. It was awesome, and we didn’t have a heart attack when we got our bill either. Our server was excellent, except she didn’t give us her name, which I just personally like. All around, a new favorite place.

My wife and I ate there for lunch. This by far has to be the BEST Italian place in town. The atmosphere was wonderful with relaxing music in the background. There were many awesome photos on the walls. The table cloths were red checkered colored, which is a MUST for pizza places. While we waited, we were served HOTFRESH bread. It was so good we asked for another basket. I ordered the rigatoni with a slice of cheese pizza for lunch. The sauce was full of flavor. My pizza slice was hot! Just how its supposed to be. My wife got a small bacon pizza. It was not too salty like all the other bacon pizzas my wife orders at other places. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to our table. We will definitely be coming back again.

Figlio’s has the best Italian food in New Braunfels! It’s hands down better than the large chain Italian restaurants in town. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious! We’ve gone several times and our family of 5 has always had great experiences. The wait staff is attentive and is always very friendly. The prices are good, too! I would highly recommend it to anyone that’s in the mood for good, New York style, Italian food.

We have been on a search for the best pizza in the area and found this place Saturday night. You will have to want to go here bad, because it is hard to locate. We were able to park right in front of their door and had our choice of table. Only 1 other couple was dining. Staff was very friendly and escorted us to a table without any wait time. she brought us our menu, water, and complimentary bread and butter. We decided to order some cheese bread and told her to bring us the large order. She suggested we should get the small order as it had about 12 pieces. It is nice they don’t try to up sell. When she brought the cheese bread out, she also brought some dipping sauce. It was awesome. She said it was the same sauce they use on the pasta. You have got to try this Pizza was delivered a little while after the cheese bread. It was good, but not the best I have ever had. However, I would order it again. This place was very good. Everything from the help to the food was well worth the trip. Here’s my tip: go quickly as this place needs your business to survive. It would be a shame if a place with help this nice, and food this good, does not make it. Unilocalers, show them some love.

This place is great definitely the best Italian food in the area. Everything that I’ve ever ordered here is delicious and tastes fresh. About the only negative thing I can say about this place is their location. It’s located in an out of the way older looking building. Don’t let it’s exterior keep you away because the food is great and very reasonably priced.

Had two pasta dishes. Both were very good. Greek salad was ok but did get something crunchy(likely lettuce need to be washed better). Pasta dishes made up for it. We’re local and will definitely go back again. Pasta and service were great and beer prices reasonable. Puts Johnny CARINOs to shame with regards to everything but number of tables. We had no wait so this place is a no brainer if you’re in the area.

We’ve eaten there twice. Once, chicken Alfredo… YUM!!! And the second time, a sub sandwich… pretty good! Tonight we’re trying the pizza. We’ve heard it’s really good. Can’t wait to try it! The service is very good as well. We’re fans! Addendum — So we had our pizza last night. A «Greek» pizza with sausage and artichoke hearts. Very tasty!!! Much more tasty than the cardboard you can have delivered. We will be back soon!

Last weekend, after complaining to a friend that New Braunfels does not have any good Italian food, my wife and I were directed to Figlio’s. First impressions were so so. The checkered tablecloths were great. I loved all of the New York paintings on the walls and the restaurant was very clean. There was also Sinatra music playing softly in the background.(I guess they read Donna L’s review.) However, the illumination violated my number one pet peeve; fluorescent overhead lights. Nooo!!! Seriously, if they would ditch the fluorescents and replace them with some dim cans, or tabletop lamps, the ambiance would be perfect. On to the meal. We were greeted and seated promptly. After ordering a couple of beers, our very friendly waitress brought us a basket of bread. Simple Italian bread. Nothing special, but good and fresh. Despite the praise we had heard, my wife and I decided we were not in the mood for pizza. On the non-pizza side of the menu, they have a list of sandwiches and several mainstay vegetarian pasta dishes, on most of which you have the option to add chicken. Then, at the bottom they have«Daily Chicken Specials-Ask your server.» I asked my server. She described both a Portabella Chicken(which sounded delicious) and a Chicken Gorgonzola(which she recommended). I ordered the Gorgonzola. My wife noticed that they had a Chicken Parmigiana sandwich, but not an entrée. She asked if there was any way she could get the Chicken Parm as an entrée. The waitress said that would not be a problem. The food came out promptly and looked great; piping hot, very large portions, good presentation. Then, that magic moment. I took one bite of my Chicken Gorgonzola and declared, «This is the best thing I have ever tasted.» My wife took a bite of her Chicken Parmigiana and said, «Not so fast. You haven’t tasted mine yet.» We swapped plates briefly and both agreed that mine was tastier, but it was a close race. We gorged as much as we could, but only finished about half our plates. Like I said; huge portions. So, the waitress graciously boxed our remaining portions and brought our check. We each had two premium beers and an entrée. Total price: $ 37! I have never taken the time to write one of these reviews, but I feel like Figlio’s deserves a rave one. Highly recommended. Finally, good Italian food has returned to New Braunfels!

Figlios tries to duplicate a New York pizzeria in New Braunfels. It has the checkered table cloths and the obligatory Sinatra playing loudly as background music. Although I admittedly was eating in an almost empty restaurant, the service was attentive, with fresh(if non-descript) soft sliced French bread & butter brought immediately to me with my menu. It being lunch time, I ordered an easy standby, a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza — which is truly the yardstick by which any authentic pizzeria is measured against. It took 5 – 10 minutes to cook my slices, and when they came out they had plenty of big slices of pepperoni swimming in the grease that real pepperoni gives off when cooked(blot with a napkin to get rid of it and a ton of calories). While nobody will mistake it for the best pizza in Texas, or even New Braunfels — it’s OK, although if they switched to a home made, hand tossed yeast crust it could be much better. But its a competent effort, and with two slices coming in under $ 5, it’s a pretty decent lunch deal. I would have no problem eating here again.
