Caffebene is a great place to sit back and relax and enjoy great food and drinks. They have established a very professional atmosphere and the service is impeccable. Will be back soon!

5 stars for ambiance — great place to study in New B 2 stars for the green tea latte I ordered — overly sweet 5 stars for customer service — they were out of almond milk so they offered me a larger size in addition to giving me the money back for the milk

This is a nice place to sit and work. It has A LOT of space(enough power outlets + free wifi) and I think that’s actually the problem because it doesn’t feel cozy at all. Especially combination of dim light and high ceiling makes the place a bit depressing. But overall a nice place!

Mac and cheese is box style piled on bread to make you think you are getting more for $ 9.95! Bland and unappealing. Exchanged it for a cheese cake un eaten and employee needed to be asked to refund the difference. Gelato and cheese cake are good enough. Pleasant atmosphere. Cheese cake comes with plastic wrapped around it. Should have removed plastic before serving cheese cake. Difficult to remove plastic. Wish we had gone somewhere else. Not a bad place but very over rated.

What a great place ! It is gigantic and really well done. comfy chairs, lots of personal space, free wifi and above all great food and drinks . Tried the misagaru frappé. learned that it is actually not coffee but some healthy grains. and it was really good. It’s nice when healthy food tastes good as well. The pecan tart was perfect .not overly sweet. These guys have a huge menu so it is difficult for a first timer like me to choose between so many things. All in all — very relaxed place

Really like their sandwiches and desserts! It’s also a good place to read or study. Green tea lattes are delish too, and I love that they have a mini bakery of Korean pastries. Sometimes, Paris Baguette is just a little too far for New Brunswick residents, and this is a good alternative for some of the things.

Café Bene has been here for just about a year and after coming here this afternoon I am upset that I haven’t come in sooner! They offer an awesome array of hot and cold drinks — mixing Italian favorites like affogato(espresso over gelato) to Asian slushes and other offerings. Their food options range from beautiful liege waffles with endless toppings to spicy chicken sandwiches full of flavor all for very reasonable prices(even more reasonable if you have a Rutgers student ID! Which by the way the owner was kind enough to offer me without my asking if she had a discount) The seating area is superb– high ceilings, beautiful ambiance, furniture and decorations. I studied here for a few hours and could have stayed all day. Everything was impeccably clean and all workers were so nice and welcoming! Will most definitely be back and likely bring a study group to hang out here, eat and enjoy the great atmosphere that Café Bene offers!

First came here for some wifi after the Rutgers’ hacker struck once again… I could not believe how adorable Caffe Bene was! It’s unfortunate that I didn’t discover this place sooner because it’s the PERFECT spot to sit and do some school work for a few hours. The chairs are super comfortable, which is a huge plus. Also, the entire café is spotless. It looks like they clean 24⁄7. I can’t speak for the food since I’ve only gotten coffee, but the food looks great. The ice cream tempts me every time I’m in there… I absolutely LOVE the coffee. I find Starbucks coffee a little too strong and Dunkin Donuts slightly weak. Caffe Bene is the perfect median between the two! I even bothered to buy a refill ;) The cashier was a sweetheart. I wish I got her name to include her in my review. I’m so happy to have discovered this new study spot.

This place is GORGEOUS and I“m so sad it wasn’t here while I was at Rutgers. I came here after dinner nearby to grab a coffee and just chat with a friend, and it proved to be a perfect setting for not just that, but a study group, a cheap date or a quiet moment to reflect on life. I unfortunately came here very full, and was unable to order any of their delicious looking deserts or sandwiches, but from other patrons around me the plates looked incredible! I was most impressed by their plastic mold versions of foods on display that looked extremely real. My very boring iced coffee, had a nice strong flavor which I appreicate versus being watered down. Prices seem very reasonable and there is a ton of variety on their menu. The customer service is also extremely friendly and by far one of the CLEANIEST public bathrooms I have ever used. We sat in one of the comfy tables in the back which proved to be MUCHLARGER than I anticipated from the store front. Overall it looks like a lot of care went into the décor to have a peaceful and relaxing ambiance created inside. I will definitely be back with a book and labtop in hand to reminincse of my undergrad years.

After dinner in New Brunswick, we wanted dessert and we hadn’t yet tried Caffebene so we came here. It’s a huge, clean, nice space — perfect for the RU students to hang out and study. Their menu was HUGE which made it extremely difficult to choose from since we weren’t really in the mood for anything specific. We didn’t dine in since we were in a rush but ended up ordering a Taro Bubbletea and a Peach Smoothie. Both were delicious, but now I look back I wish we had ordered something less ordinary because they really did have an extensive menu! We’ll be back Caffebene!

Like the place. The workers were very welcoming and pleasant. As you all know I am big on certain things. Let’s grade them on some of them: Customer service– A+. Your greated as soon as u walk in with a smile and a hello. For me that is huge, a sincere hello starts the visit the right way. This is the first thing I look for when I enter. Atmosphere– A+. Very clean and that is the secoond tbing i look at. Plenty of seating with nice size tables and comfortable chairs. Yup free wifi. Menu– A. There is a wide variety of products on the menu. A nice choice of hot and cold drinks with a nice food menu. Loyalty– A. I would go back. They offer a coffee loyalty card with a 10 drink special and with all of the above it’s worth a return visit.

This place adds a nice touch of diversity to the eateries in New Brunswick! It is a cute café, kind of a hipster feel, has plenty of seats, free wifi, and even an upstairs seating. Décor includes book shelves, brick walls, and paintings that add an aged charm to the place. Food wise, all the desserts are very good! Definitely try the bingsoo, which is shaved ice with various toppings depending on what flavor you get. I’ve had the green tea bingsoo plenty of times, and it’s great that they add a nice scoop of gelato right on top! The size is ginormous, so you can ask for a half size too for a discounted price. The waffles are really tiny tho for the price you pay. Drinks are good, though pricey. And the banana-honey toast is amazing! The strawberry honey toast looks good too so I’ll def try it next time. They also sell sandwiches, alcoholic drinks, and other random baked items.

I was so excited when I found out that they opened up a Caffebene in New Brunswick. They are located on busy George Street so you can either park in the Church Street deck or try to find street parking on the side street. Caffebene is a Korean chain which allows them to have convenient hours than small business coffee shops. I’ve come here on a few occasions; to have some green tea ice cream with waffle, for gelato, and bubble tea. I’ve never spent a good amount of time here, but I really want to! This location is HUGE and has so much seating. I think it would be a great, quiet place to study or get some work done. I also love the wood décor of this place. It feels very modern and open. The toughest part of coming here is deciding what you want to eat. There are so many sweet treats and other Korean items on the menu. The girls who work here are friendly and kind, always a plus in my book. My favorite thing to have is the green tea ice cream with a warm waffle. YUM!!! Sure, it’s not completely homemade, but it’s pretty dang tasty. I can’t get green tea or taro or other typical ‘Asian’ flavors at other coffee shops! I will totally spend some time here during the summer for sure! I have to try their shave ice!

I LOVE this place!!! This is definitely my new favorite hangout spot! First of all, the moment you walk in, you are greeted my warm, friendly staff, which makes you feel very welcome! Caffe Bene offers a great variety of hot and cold drinks, such as Caramel Latte Macchiato, Mojito, and bubble tea! I haven’t tried a lot of the drinks because I always go there to get the shaved ice! The only hot drink I’ve tried is the Caramel Latte Macchiato, and it was beyond my expectations! Very hot, flavorful, and energizing! But it’s not too caffeinated because sometimes strong coffee-related drinks make me very fidgety and jumpy. The shaved ices are the LOVE of my life! :) There are so many flavors(about 8: cheesecake, coffee, redbean, greentea, mango, strawberry, oreo, and that’s it or I’m missing something?) So far, I’ve tried the strawberry, coffee, redbean, and green tea! I LOVED them all, but I specifically enjoyed the strawberry the most because I love fresh fruits! Just in case if you can’t tell how big these shaved ices are, THEYAREHUGE! The best is to share one with at least 2 – 3 other friends while chatting and catching up! It’ll will make your night or day. GUARANTEE. Last time, I went for a midday/in-between-class snack, so I decided to get a strawberry and whipped cream waffle! Woah, it was SOYUMMMY! At first, I was worried that the strawberries would be extremely tart since they’re not in season, but to my surprise, the tartness of the strawberries mixed very well with the light and sweet whipped cream and fluffy waffles creating a perfect balance of flavors. Though I have to say that the prices are more on the expensive side for this area because the portion of the waffles are not that big and it’s worth about $ 6. Nonetheless, you do get discounts if you’re a student! Also, the presentation of the food and the ambiance of the café are definitely worth the prices! Besides hanging out, it’s a very nice spot to study. On a regular day, you see many students sipping their coffee while reading books and practicing problems!

I love desserts, so Caffebene was a definite go-to for my one night in New Brunswick. Upon first walking into the door, I felt that the atmosphere was very cosy and welcoming. It had all the elements of a typical coffee shop with a couple of people working on their laptops and chatting, but something about the log décor added an additional element of homey-ness. The selection of desserts and drinks is quite large, and I really had to stare at the menu for a while before I could order. The people who work their are very nice, helpful, and patient, which made my experience even more enjoyable. In terms of food, I had the Green Tea Shaved Ice and Green Tea Latte(can you tell that I’m a lover of green tea?), and I absolutely loved both. Especially the shaved ice — it was spectacular. The ice itself is actually flavored like Green Tea, and it comes in a gigantic bowl. I have a huge sweet tooth, and I managed only to get through half of it. All of the shaved ices looked so scrumptious since they’re topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and other relevant toppings(mine had silvered almonds, walnuts, and red bean). It’s pricey(at least $ 12 per bowl) but definitely worth it if you’re going to be sharing with at least one other person. A lot better than the shaved ice that I usually get in Philly Chinatown for sure. From the reviews, it seems like the toast and waffles are good too, so I’ll have to try both of those if I get the chance to return. Love the variety of cultural foods in and outside of Asia as well. I would frequent this café practically everyday if I lived in the area, no doubt.

I came here the other day with a friend for desert. We ordered the Strawberry Cheese Honey Toast to share. It was quickly devoured. The toast was warm and cut into pieces(it wasn’t cut all the way). On the bottom, under the toast was chocolate syrup. The toast was topped with maple syrup, cream, and strawberries. The strawberries were a bit bitter because it is out of season but it still complemented the sweetness of the bread. I’ll be definitely be going back to try the other flavors of the Honey Toast. The ambiance of the Café is versatile. It can be romantic if you’re on a date. And it can be a nice place to study(there is free wifi). There is a lot of desert here! They have dipped waffles(there are multiple flavors), cakes, macaroons, & tiramisu just to name few.

Caffebene is located on George Street in New Brunswick, right across from the Korean restaurant MyWay. I often come here for dessert after a meal in New Brunswick. The atmosphere is perfect: a cute, cozy little café perfect for studying and hanging out with friends. It’s pretty quiet, so you can relax and enjoy your food in peace. I love the décor as well. It’s all light wood and simple wall decorations to make for a neat, warm environment. As for food, the patbingsoos are my favorite, and everything else looks pretty good too. The red bean bingsoo had a bunch of delicious toppings – mochi, a sweet powder, red beans and other stuff – so it’s definitely my favorite flavor bingsoo. Plus, it’s the cheapest at ~$ 10 for a HUGE serving that’s enough for 3 – 4 people. I’ve also had a cookie from here. It wasn’t that sweet and was kind of fluffy like bread, rather than a normal crispy cookie. I’m not sure how I feel about it. The bread looks good but are quite pricey for the small portions. In general, Caffebene had cute, good desserts but it’s definitely pricey. If you go to Rutgers, you also receive a student discount. Come here if you’re looking for a peaceful, comfy place to do some reading, studying or chilling while enjoying Asian-style sweets and bread. Just be aware of what you’re ordering because it’s not the cheapest.
