Food in the form of an art work. Ching’s people know what they are doing. They often say that you eat with your eyes as well, and here they really took it to the next level. Beautiful dishes, and no less delicious. I started with soup, beautiful and tasted OK. Peking style duck — Beautiful and delicious. Sesame chicken — I will always have it whenever I will come to dine here. Pleasant experience, they could do better with the prices, but I will come back here(Soon).

They used to be good l, but now I get raw chicken satay and greasy chicken and eggplant for lunch –more than once. Bye bye old favorite.

Spring and summer rolls were tasty. My chicken frajita was muld. My daugbter’s scallion pancakes were good. The chicken inside couldn’t be cut and was inedible. Adding insult to injury was being charged full price for something that could only be ½ eaten.

We sometimes order out from chings. They always short us on the soy sauce. They think it’s insanity if you ask for a half order of something… They also charge more for every item when you go in to eat. When I asked why they said it was because of the service… I said no, that’s why we tip 20%+. Then they said it was the dishes we were using. GTFO. They have decent sesame chicken but that’s it. I miss plum tree.

I come for the Sesame chicken and veggie dumplings. I recently tried the tempura shrimp appetizer, that coconut sauce was amazing. This place always serves top notch stuff.

I love Asian cuisine and have heard good things about this place. Unfortunately it fell short of what I expected. Menus were really dirty. No water service, no crunchy Chinese noodles for the table. They got my order incorrect and the food was just ok.

We were so disappointed with our lunch yesterday at one of our favorite restaurants. We have been dining at CHing’s for a few years and it has always been consistent and delicious. Yesterday, not so much. We were handed a prix fixe lunch menu– ok $ 11.95 for 2 items — not so bad– but this was unexpected so we asked for the regular menu. Since we don’t eat meat, my husband wanted shrimp in his Vietnamese salad. The server wasn’t sure if this was possible — not sure why, as there are shrimp on the menu. He came back to confirm ok, so we ordered Summer Rolls, Vegetable Pad Thai and a Vietnamese Salad with shrimp instead of chicken). The Summer rolls were bland– good thing they were sitting in a pool of spicy sauce. The rice paper wrappers were stale and rubbery. My Vegetable Pad Thai had none of the spicy sweetness one expects and was practically devoid of vegetables — a few slivers here and there, but basically a bowl of thick insipid rice noodles with a mysterious red tinge. I was really hungry, but only ate half of this mess. The Vietnamese salad we have come to know and love was also bland. Period. The 4 grilled shrimp looked good, but were not very tasty either. The service was shaky– and they charged us for tea! Good bye to Chings Table.

Great food! The tuna tartare appetizer is amazing. The Pan Seared Seseme Tuna is my favorite dish and never disappoints. Attentive service, reasonable prices, good location.

I’ve been here so many times! Mango shrimp is my family’s go to. Dad likes the fire wok too. Dumplings and spring rolls are always tasty. Sometimes it is a little inconsistent but we enjoy this place so much it’s okay with me. The salmon salad is really good, nice texture and dressing. Service and staff are always accommodating and they will definitely remember you if you come often. Parking like any place in new Canaan is a bit hit or miss!

Ah. The place is ok. Very heavy oil use. The steamed dumplings were fantastic. The duck potsticks were good but oily. Hot and sour soup was very good and the wanton seaweed soup was ok The chow fun was way way way too oily. The veggie pad Thai was excellent. The ambiance was a bit eclectic but tasteful fast food delivery but they didn’t clear the table betwee. Courses so that was awkward and they asked me to hand onto my fork. Really? This restaurant is way too expensive to be asking you keep your fork. No sure I will give it a second chance.

I was in town with a friend for a massage. The manager at the salon recommended Ching’s Table and we are happy she did! The food was awesome! My friend and I ordered from the luncheon menu. We both got very large sized bowls of soup. The hot and sour soup was delicious. My friend got shrimp pad thai and she couldn’t believe how much shrimp they gave her. My entrée was salmon salad over brown rice & greens. The salad had mango, jicama, greens and a delicious citrus salad dressing. Absolutely loved the dish! My friend and I were«oohing & ahing» every time the waiter came by with food. Every entrée looked scrumptious. I will definitely be back!

I head over to this place every time I am in town visiting family, and I am never disappointed. Basically an Asian fusion gig that combines a bunch of different styles(Japanese, Chinese, Thai, to name a few) into a wonderful product. Well, I lied, there was this one time post-brother’s graduation(three months back) that the waiter royally screwed up the orders– wrong drinks, wrong appetizers, a couple of botched entrees, but that was the sole complaint I have about this place. In fact, I wouldn’t even deduct a star because the waiter was exceptionally graceful under fire and more than accommodating in rectifying the mistakes(chalk it up to a bad day for the guy– everyone has them). Their tofu dishes are phenomenal. As in ask the chef where he gets his tofu and how he prepares it so I can make this all the time at home phenomenal. Their veggie pad Thai has this interesting blend of traditional peanut sauce and spicy kick. I don’t know how exactly they deliver on that, but the stuff is absolutely addicting. Drinks are pretty par for the course. Standard line up of Asian and domestic beers in bottles. Appetizer portions can be a little small, so if you’re planning on sharing apps err on the side of an extra dish IMO(they have some interesting rolls to choose from). Entrees, however, are more than filling, and there has been nothing on the menu that hasn’t been devoured by family members. As far as atmosphere: inviting, low-key, lots of natural sunlight. Can come here for business or pleasure for sure(their lunch prices are very, very fair).

Mediocre Chinese food. We got take-out for a group of 10 — so I got to taste many dishes. There are many shops in Norwalk that cook circles around their wok — worth the drive.

Hi my name is Max Plomer! Chings table is the best chinese food ever! I highly recommend sesame chicken or general tso chicken, and also the vietnamese summer roll. I believe there is a discount on take out as they don’t have a lot of seating.

This restaurant has always served us good food. My favorite is the calamari papaya salad. It has a sweet dressing with lots of calamari. It’s great. Their spring rolls are also delicious and are served with a sweet chili sauce.

The place was a tad crowded with some bugs. Personally for fat boys like me I like Asian food and women so I didn’t mind the mediocre food.

With a score of 4 – 2, the winners beat the not-so’s in the food category. Four of our dishes were excellent and the other two approached inedible. They have the best Szechuan dumplings in the area, different and larger than its sister restaurant in town, Sushi 25. Tables can be small if certain dishes are ordered since they require a good deal of geography. Wines are a little pricey but mixed drinks are more in line with other places. Quick thoughts: Pork Dim Sum — Four pieces with good flavor and a delicate wrap; Szechuan Dumplings– Best around, with great peanut butter sauce and just a little kick in the filling; Peking Duck — great preparation served with four wrappers. Served on three separate plates which occupied a good deal of the table. A little more hoisin sauce required; Chicken Chow Fun — tasteless preparation other than the bitterness of the chicken; Tenderloin of Beef — really bad as well. The beef was prepared to requested doneness but was mealy in texture and the flavors were completely off; Sesame Chicken — Excellent dish, great flavors, and a good coating to the chicken which had a much better flavor than the chicken in the chow fun. Service is usually a bit iffy, but this time our server was very good.

We were out in the land of Connecticut of New Canaan and needed to find a lunch place before an architectural tour. It seems the quaint but small downtown area eateries was more geared to dinner time event. Ching’s Table was conveniently open. The service was friendly with a few other patrons in the restaurant. The interior was a interesting mix of traditions with Asian themed décor thrown in for good measure. But overall it was bright and open dinning space. This is a one stop shop of Asian Fusion cuisine. You got Chinese, Chinese, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia. We opted for the lunch time deal appetizer and main pre-pixe offerings. I started with the Wonton Soup and my friend got the Thai crab cakes to start and Crispy snapper and Asian Grilled chicken. Is the Chicken Asian because it sat on top of Bokchoy and rubbed with Lemongrass? The wonton soup was bland and watery. The crab cakes was decent. The entrees were plated nicely. The fish was crispy. The chicken in a sauce was slightly sweet. The two looked like the same dish and sauce except for different protein. Overall, the meal was reasonable. We didn’t expect much in the land of fussy whiteville eaters of Connecticut and we are spoiled with great Asian cuisine in the city(New York City). Ching’s Table is a good attempt catering to the local clientele with bland Asian food with ingredients that are familiar yet keeping the menu sounding ‘exotic.’

I don’t get why people love this place. Tried it for take-out. It’s incredibly overpriced and the chicken dish– wayy too greasy. Maybe I can’t fairly judge on a soup and a chicken dish but I’ve definitely have had better and will stick with my hole-in-the-wall Chinese place that makes much better food at half the cost.

Had a terrific Saturday lunch here. Attractive restaurant on a very pretty street in a very pretty town. Friendly and attentive staff. The three of us all had the $ 10.50 lunch special. One started with the spring roll and the others had the(healthier) summer roll. All were delicious. We all ordered the Vietnamese salad with chicken as our entrée. Wow, what a great choice! This crunchy salad contained a generous amount of crushed, toasted peanuts, a plethora of vegetables including jicama, a generous amount of moist and delicious grilled chicken(beautifully seasoned, too) and a light vinaigrette that really melded these elements in a most delightful way. Iced coffee was delicious, as well, as might be expected in a quasi-Vietnamese restaurant. Highly recommend this place for lunch. If I lived in the area, I am sure it would be a regular on the circuit!
