Stopped in on a rainy afternoon with my wife and man, did Uncorked brighten up the day! Upon arrival we were led to a cozy table in the corner of the room and immediately felt relaxed. They had some interesting beers on draft and wine by the glass to choose from. We were really impressed with the food spectrum(especially for the size of the open kitchen)! We started with the mushroom soup and empanadas. Both were amazing. Loved the melted cheese and mushrooms over toast on the side. The lobster lollipops were equally amazing! Ditto for the double burger and salad that we had as entrees. All in all, a great culinary experience in an unpretentious setting. Two thumbs up!

Great little place in New Canaan. While the service was a bit spastic, the food was very good. Nothing pretentious and very satisfying. Good burger, excellent steak sandwich, and shrimp and grits that were out of this world. Prices were below average for the area. While it is a little cramped it’s not uncomfortable.

What to do, what to do? A couple of buds and I went to South End Uncorked and could not decide between the double-double, the cheesesteak, or the dog. Easy fix… we each ordered a burger and then split a cheesesteak and dog among the trio. And why not some cheese curds to start. The cheesesteak was great, moist, flavorful, just let the great flavors shine. The dog, made in house, had great flavor and consistency. It was topped with some spicy relish and mustard. Both came with the fries. The double-double was outstanding. See the other review, and now even better. Also loved the root beer.

Small and cozy but a nice ambiance. Sitting by the open windows on a nice evening sipping a drink and people watching is a nice way to relax. Service is excellent and the food is excellent too. Everything makes for a unique and enjoyable experience. It is quite cozy though!

Oh how I wish I came to New Canaan more often. I would frequent Uncorked regularly. We first split a lobster lollipop. Yeah… too small to split as I could eat a dozen but cooked to buttery perfection. I had the carnitas which I loved. The meat was so tasty and the chicharones gave it crunch and saltiness. My friend had the pâté toast(don’t remember the exact name) and she was amazed with it. We then split BLT salad. This was great to have if you’re looking for something light but tasty. Love the bacon… want more lol. The service was fantastic too and would love to come back soon to try more.

This place is amazing! The décor, ambiance and upbeat, casual vibe is a great addition to Elm Street in New Canaan. Try the pork buns and Hamachi nachos, which aren’t to be missed! Friendly and accommodating staff helped us select excellent craft cocktail choices– try number 4, and wine on tap. We liked the Super Tuscan too! Can’t wait to return to this gem.

Just went in for a drink after work. Pros: great, cozy décor. Location right in town. Reasonable range of beers. Con’s: we didn’t feel welcome only having one drink; our clothes smelled like kitchen smells afterward; Front door is locked. Almost went somewhere else until we went around the back, so they need better signage. Nice place though, so might go back and try the food.

The Good: quality of food, music, and service. The bad: price and smell from the open kitchen. This place is very small with modern rustic décor. The menu is small but with a lot of good options to choose from. It’s pricey, but not really out of sync with the neighborhood it’s situated in. They have an open kitchen layout and on my way home I noticed that my clothes really absorbed the smell of cooking/oil and I was actually seated further away from the kitchen. When my co-worker and I arrived on a Thursday afternoon at 5pm, it was empty but by the time we left an hour and a half later it was completely full.(note: this place is very small so it doesn’t take too much to fill it.) My co worker enjoyed his cocktail which was made with a top quality gin. I’m a craft beer fan and although the selection was small, the IPA on draft was VERY good. I’m hope they keep the tap rotating. The same can by said for their food menu. They seem to focus on quality since space limits them on quantity.

Home run! Ambiance, service, and of course the food were all terrific! My wife had the kale salad with chicken added to it… A generous portion of chicken, and I had the double double burger. Both meals were fantastic. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which in my opinion makes it more appealing as the service was spot on and focused on delivering a quality experience to each patron. We will for sure be back.
