Price is not reasonable. Not for the gator nuggets that were just chopped and fried gator pieces, the soggy fried oysters, or the over breaded fried scallops(a couple being too tough and dry to eat.) All being pretty bland without an accompanying sauce. 6 oysters were $ 20. Scallops were $ 25. Gator bites $ 10. Staff is nice, though the girl that came to our table said«I don’t know» and walked away when asked how many oysters the dish contains, instead of asking a chef, or anyone. Their fries are good. Cheap beer is good. I can get that elsewhere. I was really looking forward to eating here and I was very disappointed. Also, don’t use their bathroom.

I have been coming here since my teens to get the oysters. I ordered 6 Virgina Salts and a Samuel Adams. LOVEDIT! The oysters were fresh and the«sinus clearing» cocktail sauce compliments the oysters nicely. Awesome service and good quality seafood. I would have a taken a pic but I ate the oysters too fast.

This place is amazing! And I must say, they have endless menu… the list is keep goin on! Seafood galore… super fresh… and the steamed shrimp is to die for. We met one of the worker/manager? Her name is Barbara. .she has great, friendly personality and always making sure all customers met their expectations. This place is truly a hidden gem of new castle. My first impression of this place is HOME. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Me and my family will be coming to this place for years to ALLTHESTAFF… KEEPUPTHEGREATWORK! A little hard to find, wait staff were super, my friend had the softshell crab sandwich and was very pleased. I had 1lb of steamed peel n eat shrimp. They had not been seasoned while cooking and they were overcooked and a little mushy. A couple of shrimps were a little cold in the center which indicated that they had been reheated. The staff was so nice I did not have the heart to complain.

Now, I realized how much I missed my oyster po’boy! Had the lump crab appetizer(hot version) with the hot cocktail sauce– ’twas perfect for a low carb diet. The fries though were within arm’s reach, so it still works for portion control the perfect stop for light dinner.

Diarrhea, under staffed, expensive, ripoff Brought a $ 30 lunch lobster tail. Took two bites and it was very rubbery and tasteless. I told the waiter and she said their all cooked like that and was still charged. I took it off my plate and left it at the corner of the table. I brought a buffalo shrimp plater. They were so delicious. However, they gave me really bad stomach ache and blew their toilet up. I guess that’s what I get for buying seafood at a flea market.

I have never eaten here, that’s why it gets 4⁄5. However, my wife and I are Saturday regulars, picking up seafood. The staff is friendly and quick and if you are a sports fan they engage you in friendly fun conversation no matter what the team. The prices are fair, and the food is fresh! The variety of seafood is very diverse and they always ask if you need ice for the transport home.

DON’T GOHERE… unless you’re sure that you’re here. There are two branches. One is right by one of the entrances, and it’s a grab and go place. The seafood there is ok, but nothing to write home about. I gave this place two stars in an earlier review and noted it as a major disappointment. The actual restaurant is at the opposite end of the market from the grab-and-go place. Had the frog legs, which were excellent(still juicy, but fried perfectly) and fried oysters(again, juicy and fried perfectly). The signature«hot» cocktail sauce is as advertised.

I eat there 5 or 6 times a year. Food is fantastic, crab cakes are first rate and all of the food fresh. Service is a little slow

What can I saw about this place? Plenty, this little gem located in the New Castle flea market is truly a bit of heaven on earth. The oysters and seafood are very fresh, their New England chowder is amazing and the folks who work there are warm and friendly. I live almost 90 miles away in NJ but they are so worth the trip. I look forward to my next visit to try some more of their homemade delights.

The Farmer’s Market is open Fri — Sun and it has mostly become a series of krip-krap stalls. However, the longest standing business in the Farmer’s Market is Alex’s; it is easy to see why. They have the freshest oysters, delicious soups, and great grilled fish. I had ½ dozen Blue Point oysters and a cup of Seafood Chowder and The Husband had a piece of grilled fish which he enjoyed. Alex’s is a great place to people watch and enjoy a beer or a great place for husbands to sit with a beer and watch the Eagles game.

Now I have eaten at the attached restaurant. The soft shell crab sandwich was pretty good. And I was really excited to eat it, because it took my waitress about six minutes to arrive at my table from the kitchen 50 feet away.
