Pathmark

This grocery store literally smells like garbage as soon as you walk in. I work nearby and this is the closest grocery store, so when I’m in a pinch I stop in, but I am disturbed by the overwhelming smell of garbage in this establishment. Other than that, the sales are decent, but their regular prices are pretty high. The employees are hit or miss– management seems to be really friendly and helpful, but sometimes the cashiers are aloof and borderline rude, not even responding to a «hello» or «thank you».

This is the closest Pathmark to my place in Delaware. Access is easy from US-​13. Just use the traffic light to make a turn into the strip mall. This Pathmark is large compared to most supermarkets in the area. The store can be very busy on during the day and on weekends but it is open ²⁴⁄₇ so try going at night if your grocery needs aren’t urgent. Parking is ample. I’ve never seen the parking lot more than half full. I find that Pathmark has some good weekly specials and low unit prices on bulk-​packaged store brand items. They also often mark down leftover produce. For those who like to do it themselves, this Pathmark has two sets of self-​checkout machines: regular and express. (15 items or less) They also have regular and express cashier checkout, of course.
