When we don’t feel like cooking, but want a quality burger, this is the place we go. From its cute exterior, to beautiful patio, and fun staff, we love it! Who can beat grass-fed burgers and fries? We typically get take out and it’s always ready on time and cooked to order. The fries are hot and can be customized with seasonings. The milkshakes are amazing as well! Great place– hope they are here to stay!

Great food. During winter months best to get take out as the restaurant is tiny, only 2 tables and the heating system has a lot to be desired. But great burgers and hotdogs.

Cute little place that’s nice for summertime or for picking up food on the way home. I like the food although I feel it’s way too expensive for what it is(even considering it’s grass fed, etc). Nice to see a business in this location that’s sticking around.

Food was cold, milkshake was like water, fries tasted like grease.

These guys have the best buns around — wait, let me clarify, the burgers have the best buns around. Sorry — didn’t want to mislead you. The food is amazing and the proprietor has a definite passion for providing quality and service — AND… it is delicious food! I only wish there were more locations available. Thanks for everything! LOVE the Olde 37 Patio!

Everything at olde 37 tastes a lot better than any other burger place/joint. Because the burgers, soda, hot dogs, and other food is also either made on the spot or at an nearby farm. Every time I go there, I order something new. I haven’t tried anything that didn’t taste good. Carl the owner is very nice. One time I saw him give a customer another serving of fries(that aren’t even fried, they’re baked) just because a bug flew into her fries. To those who are fucking about the small sizes and high prices. If you want a good and healthy burger(or anything else that you can order there), you need to spend a dollar or two more. No one can make food better than olde 37.

Good food. Burgers were cooked as ordered and we’re really very good. The sides were extremely small — maybe 10 – 12 steak fries. Based on the price, they should probably add more to the side orders. Based on the reviews(every negative one is linked to price) for a couple pennies more fries, the place would garner a better reputation. Will come back

Stopped for a burger after a day on the lake… Burgers were nothing less than amazing!!! We both a special… The crunch Burger with rosemary chips and cheddar. We also had the sweet potato fries. Burgers were grass fed and perfectly cooked. Bun was perfectly toasted. Highly recommend!!! Fries were great too… Crispy and delicious! Will definitely be back when we are in the candlewood lake area again!

My husband ordered the olde 37 burger and I’m having a chili cheese hot dog. The hot dog was good, it just needed a little more chili for my preference. The burger was good too. Wedge fries were awesome. My favorite was the baileys Irish cream milkshake! Yummm! Clean bathroom. 15 minutes for food to arrive — pretty good We will be back!

This place is a nicely run throw back to simpler times. The food is freshly made to order and tastes great. I love the burger selections which you can always have«your way!» The shakes are old school awesome and the fries are fresh cut. A fun place to stop on your way to or from the lake!

Nearly every time I go into town, I stop by here to grab a shake. I can’t explain it, but their black & white shake is the best I’ve had(trust me! I am a milkshake fiend/enthusiast/junkie). Aside from the delectable shakes, the food offered at Olde 37 is very tasty. The burgers are all grass-fed beef, and the hot dogs are top quality. So, even if it is a bit pricey, you know you are getting what you paid for.

Very disappointing… Interesting menu(burgers and dogs), but no way lived up to expectations. Burgers were overdone. Fries were hot and had interesting spices, but greasy-oily. Suspect the oil was cold and the fries soaked it up before it was hot enough to cook them. Won’t go back.

I have to say they do have great burgers. This is a nice quaint burger place with gluten free rolls and the best selections of burgers. The sauce on the side burger was tremendous. The sweet potato fries love. If you want a good burger at a good price and enjoy the food and night or lunch go here. best in area.

Best burger I have had in years. Grass fed beef is always good, but this particular grass fed beef was tender, cooked perfect(medium, as I requested) and full of flavor, and a perfect 1⁄3 lb. The bun was also flavorful and the top was grilled so it had a nice crunch when I bit down. Yum! French fries tasted like fresh cut potatoes cooked at home. The entire dinner seemed home cooked. My wife had the chili which she loved. She also liked her burger and the rich flavorful sweet potato fries. It’s so encouraging to enjoy a meal at a restaurant where the food is exceptional and ingredients seem to be bought and prepared with that intent. Met the owner, Carl, who was very friendly and passionate and proud of the food he was serving. He even told me where I could get the grass fed beef raw if I wanted to cook a burger at home. Just a very nice experience! Thanks Carl! Went here again today 4÷26÷15 to get some real food. Again burger was tender and delicious and the French fries were perfect. This time, I brought the food home(to go) and even after a 10 minute drive, the food was still delicious. Yum!

My fiancé and I ate here over a year ago, and it was just okay. I ordered an Olde 37 burger last night, medium rare with swiss, and sweet potato fries to go. It was outstanding. I loved the oven baked fries, just crispy enough on the outside and soft inside. The burger was also cooked just as I asked. I saw the other reviews, and I’m not sure if it was just a learning curve or not. As I mentioned before, a year ago or so it was just okay. Their prices are a little higher, but you do get a large serving of the sweet potato fries, and the burger is pretty big, so I feel it’s worth it. The two items I ordered came to about $ 10.50. I love that the name is branded on the bun, too. Cute touch =) Looking forward to going again this weekend.

Have eaten here quite a few times. Have tried a few of the burgers and enjoyed each one. Significantly overpriced for what you get, but very tasty. Shakes are very good. The hot dogs are both delicious and a decent value. Can’t stand the oven-baked«fries.» I get the concept of them… maybe I’d like them if cut thinner. As is, they are uncool. Service is always great, love the patio, and dig having a burger joint in town. Just wish the burgers were either bigger or cheaper(don’t care which).

I have a few items to review. First the good news: I tasted my wife’s Bruschetta Burger and loves it! It had great flavor(which says a lot because my burger sucked) the second bit of good news is the sweet potato fries, they were awesome! They had a little crunch and a little salt. The last good news is the chocolate shake, it was great. Now the bad news: I had the Old 37 burger with bacon and Sautéed onions. I asked for it to be cooked medium however, like so many others have said, the burger was served well done! And for the love of god, SALTYOURMEAT! The burger had NO seasoning. The buns are way too thick for the size of the meat. The meat is dry, he must smash his patties because they are thin and not juicy. I won’t come back here unless I fries. I did have the loaded chili cheese fries, I’d get those again but this is not the place I’d come back to when I want a good burger.

Finally, New Fairfield has a roadside burger and dog joint, and to boot, one that’s really really good! It’s tucked behind the memorial, and has a great patio to eat outside. I just finished my first burger from the Olde 37 Patio & Grille. I’ve been excited watching the renovation from afar, and when I noticed it was open for business I tried it out the first chance I got. It exceeded expectations… it’s more pricey than McDonalds, sure, but it’s right in your back yard and it’s fresh and much healthier! The quality is outstanding, everything local, the beef is grass fed, even New England cream is used in the milkshakes! The menu consisted of burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, milkshakes, a handful of different types of fries… even a mushroom burger for anyone foolish enough to be vegetarian! My first go around was a grass fed burger with swiss, mushrooms, onions, and au jus to dip in… usually I don’t rave about au jus, but this stuff was amazing, I hope they make a beef soup during the winter out of this stuff(hint, hint). I spoke with the owner, Carl, a few weeks before opening. He seemed like a great guy who knew his way around the restaurant biz and truly cares about the local and healthy aspect(as healthy as a burger and fries can be). To sum it up… I liked my first trip to the Olde 37 Patio & Grill… It’s in a perfect location for anyone driving through the center of town, and will it feed little leaguers for years to come!
