Food was excellent, Service was absolutely terrible we were seated 40min after our reservation, no food for another hour after that! The party of 10 college kids, that arrived after us, were seated directly across from us received all the attention, the drinks and food. They were done eating before our Habatchi chef even arrived. My family, my children and the US Marine and his wife were treated like second class citizens.

The service was prompt and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Unfortunately my chicken teriyaki was underwhelming; the chicken bone dry and the sauce was not very flavorful. My boyfriend enjoyed his half of the meal however, Tonkatsu and udon noodles. Overall it was good but with a dish as simple as mine, I expected it to be halfway decent.

They have good deals for lunch. We got 3 rolls(salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and eel avocado) for $ 10 and sashimi sushi combo for $ 12. It came with miso soup and salad. They don’t skimp on the fish and everything tasted fresh. I think their dinner prices are reasonable too. Edit: we came back again and I guess it depends on the sushi chef but this time all the fish were sliced thinly and the rolls were tiny. Huge difference from before.

I am a super-regular customer to Red Samurai. Having moved here recently from the coast, I was instantly impressed with the quality of their sushi, drinks, service, and ambiance. The fish tastes fresh and is well-served 99% of the time. The conveyor belt is a fun time, and honestly everything I’ve eaten here is delicious. Have yet to try the habachi(haven’t ever tried the red meat or chicken, the sushi is just too good). The goat-cheese wontons are delicious, and the cocktails are not to be missed. Strong and tasty.

From 2÷21÷15 I came here with an entourage of 10 of my closest friends for my going away dinner– Hibachi style. Our server was pretty awesome and good at dealing with a group of hungry– booze thirsty group like us. He took our orders, made sure we had what we wanted, we got our booze«I got the Kikomans plum wine btw,» the miso soup and salad– then out came the chef! Our chef was super rad, he came out with a super soaker-like-gun and proceeded to bestow upon us sake. It was epic! I got the steak and shrimp with fried rice and lo mein. The steak & shrimp were delicious and so flavorful, plus tender. The rice and lo mein were fantastic. All I can say is my friends, and I had an amazing experience.

I saw on their website that they had 50% off all sushi rolls on Monday so we went there to eat and when we got the bill it wasn’t half off. I spoke to the waitress and she said they didn’t do the 50% off anymore. I asked to speak with the manager and he said the same. I showed him their website and he didn’t seem to care. I asked if they could correct the bill and they refused. The food was good but the service was horrible so I will not be going back there.

I went here with a group of friends and I have to say the food was pretty good. However I give them 1 star due to the poorly handled situation we had when the hibachi chef accidentally placed shrimp on top of our highly allergic friend’s plate. The chef apologized and said they would redo her plate in the ktichen and it would be free. Unfortunately when they redid it, they made another mistake, placing eggs in her fried rice. But that wasn’t even the reason I gave this restaurant 1 star. Even though the chef said it was free, my friend was given a bill for her food. They gave her a gift certificate for the amount of her meal(at the 50% off price because that was the deal offered tonight) for the next time she comes. Why should she be forced to come back? It should be her option. Per the manager, that was the best they could do. Um, NO! They nearly killed her. The best they could have done was not charge her at all. Don’t go there… they don’t care about their customers, only making money.

I absolutely LOVEDIT! My friends and I wanted sushi for dinner so we decided to try this place out… Whenever I go for sushi I always get a house salad with ginger dressing and this is by far the best I’ve had. Some places are so stingy with their dressing, but this place actually gives you a whole side of dressing(and it wasn’t watery like it is at previous places I have been) I had the Crazy Friday Roll and it was DELICIOUS! They have a lot of unique rolls. This one in particular had avocado, cream cheese, and MANGO! Yum. Both of my friends enjoyed their sushi too. On Mondays they have 30% off sushi rolls which is an amazing deal. I got 1 specialty roll and my salad for under $ 10 dollars… And I was STUFFED by the end. It is also beautiful inside the restaurant, I love the atmosphere and all of the waitstaff is eager to please. My new favorite sushi spot in the area.

Don’t waste your time! I went here and had the hibachi steak and tried some of the sushi. The hibachi dinner they brought me was the worst I’ve ever had! It looked as if someone brought me a plate of soggy, overcooked noodles they bought at Walmart. I mean absolutely TERRIBLE. The steak wasn’t that good either. I’ve had better at Sumo and this was a «steak house!» Not to mention the whole plate had some weird flakey seeds ALL over it. I ate four bites before I told her I didn’t want it anymore, and no I didn’t want the leftovers. I told her I was not satisfied and all she responded with was«have you ever had it before?» … What does that have to do with it??? The ultimate slap in the face was getting the bill and seeing that she charged me for it. I couldn’t help but think this was a joke… The sushi was alright. Noting remarkable. The typical dry, sticky kind. Overall, I wouldn’t suggest it for more than a quick lunch stop for sushi if you’ve never had sushi outside of Utica and don’t know what good sushi tastes like. At the end of the day, save your money and taste buds and go to Sumo down the street instead. You’ll thank me later.
