After watching the Hunger Games in the cinema, my darling friend and I stopped here for some chocolate goodness. She had been here before, but it was my first time. This establishment offers a quaint atmosphere; it is a little shoppe with leather chairs and tiny tables. On a Saturday afternoon around 4:00pm, this place was dead. They offer wine, beer, cocktails, coffee, desserts, and a wide range of fun and unique chocolates. I ordered a French press coffee($ 3), which was good but nothing to write home about. My friend ordered«A Little Sumpin’» beer; she’s an avid beer enthusiast but wasn’t a fan of this brew. At $ 1.50 per piece of chocolate, we ordered four pieces and shared each piece. They had a large selection including rosewater champagne, gooseberry, green tea dark chocolate, Turkish coffee, hazelnut, and pine(like«tree») chocolates. We ordered a piece of each following chocolates: lingonberry, strawberry balsamic, bacon caramel, and a fourth that I can’t recall. The chocolates were palate pleasing and fun to pick out. Recommendations: –Come with someone and share pieces, you’ll be able to sample more for what you pay. –If the staff is not present when you enter, they may be at the shop next door. –Cute place for a date! Verdict: Good place for a chocolate fix that involves different flavours blended into your piece of chocolate. I’d revisit on occasion.

They have the tastiest, most delicious spicy hot chocolate the world has ever known. It is thick and creamy and such a delectable kick. It’s my ultimate guilty pleasure. Frequented the place often when it was chocopologie, but now am pretty excited it’s a bar! Very small space, really intimate and adorable. None of that crazy noise from 500 people in a huge bar. Super cute. Hand crafted chocolates delivered freshly made, so you gotta get there early before they run out because they go fast. No mass stocking of mass produced crap. I love this place for the spicy hot chocolate alone, but the rest makes it absolutely charming. A hidden treasure.

We stopped here last night for some chocolates. We went here once when it was Chocopologie with the lamest selection of chocolates/desserts(i.e. they were out of everything). Since opening as Chocolat Maya, the place looks nicer, less of a mish mash, and nice seating(though cramped, but that’s just a fault of the layout and size of the space). They had an attractive selection of interesting chocolates which were all labeled and included the norms(caramel, truffles, mint) but other ingredients like balsamic and chipotle. We each had 3 and they were quite tasty(total bill for 6 chocolates was $ 9 which seemed typical). The server was busy, but friendly. The place also serves drinks which is pretty cool, though we didn’t order any. The front case that had some cakes and macarons was dim and didn’t look as appealing as the selection of chocolates which were up in front of glass and easily visible. I’d go again for another selection of chocolates.

The perfect place to go when you want to start your evening, evening, but it’s a bit on the early side. Alternatively, a great date spot. The desserts and chocolates are divine, the staff is incredibly friendly(especially Chris!) The cocktails are strong and yummy. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area.

This place is great, every time I have been there it’s been open and busy. Staff is friendly and knowledgable, they have a large chocolate selection, and their Chocolate Manhattan and Salted Caramel Martinis are amazing! A perfect date night spot!

This place is never open with its intended hours. I was told if they are slow the close early. Ive gone there twice and they were«slow» so the were closed. Hours are advertised but they apparently open and close whenever they feel like it.

Okay, so it is a chocolate shop with a bar. I was given a «we’re having a mardi gras party» flier tonight so I stopped in, every seat was taken, but not so much a party atmosphere. It was weird, but the staff was nice. They immediately offered me a jello shot and a cupcake. I took the jello shot… it was okay. I felt weird standing there, so I ordered a hot chocolate, and perused the truffles, they were beautiful, and the hot chocolate was superb. I will definitely be back for treats in the future.

TERRIFIC desserts but merely decent spicy hot chocolate. The chocolate covered almonds are phenomenal, as are the pastries. Can’t wait to return!

My husband and I stopped in for dessert on 2⁄8 and we were not disappointed! We shared the«hot blonde» and both had coffee. The brownie was delish and definitely hit the spot. The shop is really cute inside and has ample seating. The best part is the vast selection of gourmet chocolates. You name it, they had it and they were all beautiful! We’ll be back soon!
